The food is always yummy, I very much appreciate the extra donut holes that are sometimes thrown in my bag! You'll certainly receive quick service, in & out in a flash. I'm happy to stop by here when I'm looking for a quick breakfast in the area.

Hands down the best donuts we have had in Austin. They melt in your mouth so soft and airy but not soggy or stale at all. The perfect amount of icing and it doesnt flake off and make a huge mess or melt as you are eating it. I came in at 10am on a Monday and there was noone else there but they had a good amount of fresh donuts! Its clean and simple inside. They have breakfast tacos and croissant sandwiches as well. We ordered a blueberry cake donut, chocolate frosted and a traditional glaze, as well as a mocha cooler for a drink. The lady was super sweet and welcoming, she made a note that they were a bit slow today so they have lots to choose from and threw in an extra free strawberry frosted donut as well.

While I understand we are in the middle of a public health crisis and that many businesses are not accepting cash I forgot my wallet at home and only had a $20 bill that was in my car. Turns out my $20 bill did not meet their standards. I tried to order 3 donuts and they told me they didn't have change. This is completely understandable so I offered to buy an additional dozen donuts (total of 15 donuts now) and told them to just keep the change and accept it as a tip. They turned away for a minute and came back and said that my $20 bill was "too old" and that they would not accept it. I didn't have my wallet on me, which is my mistake, and only had that $20. Still, they would not accept it and told me that it was too old and they won't take it. I really hate to complain but it's really hard to grasp the idea of a restaurant in this economic climate turning away guests because their money is too old. I've attached a picture for reference. It's also completely legal tender and not counterfeit. I live in the area and was looking for a new place to get coffee and donuts. Maybe I'm being a little harsh here, but it really bothered me and made me feel unwelcomed.

Gordough's is one of those places that fully commits to indulgence. I was able to place my order online and schedule for pick up. The order was ready when I arrived. Parking was a bit challenging and the lot was full and they charge for parking. Service was quick, casual, just good energy and fast turnaround. I ordered my tried and true Miss Shortcake with their famous cake donut with cream cheese icing and fresh cut strawberries. The donut is so indulgent and was served warm with the most delectable flavor combinations. Tried the Son of a Peach with cream cheese icing, spiced peach filling, cake mix topping, cinnamon and sugar with honey butter. This one was a bit too overindulgent and sweet for my liking but was definitely worth a try. Portions are huge and can be shared as the donut is not as good warmed over. If you're in the mood for dessert and not think about calorie count, then this is the place.

The Glazed Yeast (The Prime Donut)......... if a donut maker can't do glazed, you might as well forget about the rest. Fantastic. Perfect. The glaze that flakes though moist and a donut that slightly squishes, pops slightly back and has that perfect texture....... And yes Flavor! Perfect Glazed. Well done. A good size and not a weak donut. I did a fancy chocolate cake donut of the Butterfinger kind. A fantastic blend of a good chocolate cake and the touch of peanut from the crisp. A good combo of about 50/50 share of flavor. Focusing on the cake donut resulted in a favorable chocolate cake donut. Freshness is key. Lastly was a buttermilk bar. Good, just good. I know where to get great. You'll have to read my other donut posts to find out where. Just good. Glaze could improve and the complete cool through would be helpful. The dough was alright, not bad. They are slightly pricey, but as an occasional splurge, it's not unreasonable. Also, especially the bigger (and more expensive) ones are reasonable to share -- and you'd probably be better off doing so. This particular location has some cool decor like the donut trees and flag. Nice setup to see what's offered, though we stopped at a not busy time, it seems like it'd be challenging to decide quickly if there's a big line.

I was craving Ube and might have gone a bit overboard on ordering dessert because they had so many Ube options. The building is colorful and decorated in bright pink with fun artwork and decor for an uplifting vibe. The line moved quickly and the service was friendly fast and efficient. I was able to place my order and pay with Apple Pay. I ordered the Taiyaki Sundae with black sesame and ube swirl soft serve served in a fish shaped mochi Belgian style waffle with Oreo dust on top. You can customize your sundae with filling like organic red sweet beans, Nutella or custard and toppings like Oreo dust, fruity pebbles or rainbow sprinkles. I ate this on site and the nutty black sesame balanced the sweet ube perfectly, and the Oreo topping added the best crunch. They had a variety of mochi donut flavors. Lucky for me, nothing was sold out today. I ordered the Oreo ube mochi donut and ube milk tea to-go. I ate the mochi donut later that day and it was probably my least favorite item from my order. It had the chewy mochi texture however I didn't get enough of the rich ube flavor. It had somewhat of a bitter aftertaste and the Oreo overpowered the ube. I drank the ube milk tea the next day and it was creamy, smooth, and not overly sweet. I really enjoyed the flavor profile of the beverage and would order it again. Overall, enjoyed my selections and will be back to try more dessert options and flavors from one of the most unique Asian dessert spots in Austin!

We were on Rainey street for SXSW and I had seen several people with the pink bag with a dog stamped on the front and wanted to see what all the hype was about. We came across the pink trailer with the dog logo and decided to give it a try. Service was quick and friendly, I was able to place my order and they accepted Apple Pay. Everything was made fresh to order, so there's a bit of a wait, but it's worth it when you get them hot. I tried the Italian cream cake donuts. They have specialty flavors that were $1 more and all of them were appealing to me. Unfortunately, you can not order a sampler pack of different flavors and have to just pick one flavor which is why I am giving 4 stars. My recommendation would be to offer a sampler pack as to not have to commit to one flavor. The pink dog stamped package came with multiple tiny donuts inside. They were freshly made, soft, and served warm. My friend ordered the regular donuts and I have to say that I didn't notice the Italian cream cake flavor as much as I would have liked compared to the original. There was a good balance of sweetness and a creamy, slightly rich profile without feeling overly heavy. The mini size is perfect because you can try a few without feeling like you've gone overboard and it is great for sharing. Overall, Little Lucy's is a solid dessert stop when you want something warm, fresh and satisfying. I would not recommend paying extra for the specialty flavors like Italian cream cake donuts and will just go with the original donuts in the future.
