This is a Covid testing site. They allow testing through their drive-through. I went to pick up my prescription and realized they were allowing people to test through the drive-through and we're not cleaning the tray they use to transport the testing swabs back-and-forth between them and customers. So I decided to go inside hoping it was more sanitary. They are asking you to touch screens on the card machine for payment and again they do not wipe it off afterward. My best advice is if you can avoid this Rite Aid do it. This is a huge area for Covid currently and they are not sanitizing anything. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

This Rite-Aid Pharmacy is absolutely terrible. Really bad customer service besides the one or two helpful people you will get every now and again. I don't know what the deal is with the pharmacy here, but it is horrible and they try to overcharge you to get every extra penny they can. I will NEVER have another prescription sent here. (( -The Last time I ever go to a Rite Aid- )) My doctor specifically ordered name brand medication. These guys tried to charge charge me name brand price but give me the generic crap. I proved this at the counter but the pharmacist Paul. Well I'll just go ahead and say that Paul is a bold faced liar. Flatout tried to blame it on this and that. So I went back in verified things with the doctor and sure enough Paul was a liar. They only had 15 pills of the real stuff so instead they wrote it up as the name brand but gave me the generic crap. I used to come in before with the old store manager , he would always have all his prices up to date on everything, he is no longer there and the new manager , does not care about customer service and price integrity . Service is inefficient, they notified me through text messaging the day before that my meds are ready for pick up and I came today to pick up my medications and they told me its not ready yet. There are also instances the pharmacy mixed my meds with other patient's medication. This HAPPENS multiple times without complaining and writing a bad review. It's a final straw. This is one of the busiest Rite Aids' I shop at. They always have a long line at the Front and a line for Pharmacy. It is nicer ever since they moved locations. I just wished Rite Aid invested more money in hiring more associates so they could help move the lines along. Some of us just want to be in and out in a hurry. Also if they could open up another register in pharmacy to speed things along would be helpful too. Especially for this location where the registers aren't close together at all and there wouldn't be HIPPA or PHI issues at stake. read more

Rite Aid - the inside of a grocery store - Drugstores Near Me - Sylmar, California

I just called my Rite Aid pharmacy which is close to my house to see if they have the pain medication I need - I had surgery a few weeks ago and need to control the pain. They don't have that pain medication- this is the 2-3 time they don't have it in stock and won't have it until possible a week from now. How am I suppose to handle this post surgical pain? Even though I would rather use my Rite Aid in my neighborhood, I will need to have someone drive me over to CVS, where they do have the medication. An update - I picked up a prescription at CVS and it turns out that the medication although the same medicine is not the same manufacturer - this new medication is not controlling my pain and I am getting nauseous. I would not be having this problem if my RiteAid had filled it my prescription. My doctor has given me another prescription and because of state restrictions, I can't get the prescription. And this Rite Aid pharmacy hung up on my doctor's nurse. That is not even professional!! read more

Does not answer the phone and then makes you stay on hold for 15 minutes. On top of that they claim to have your Covid results in 1-3 days and then they come out saying that it can take 5-7 days in that case they should disclose that information when you're signing up for an appointment. read more

Sadly the person who called herself the manager could not handle a customer that could not decide on his ice cream. She told him to leave but was not able to deal with him on a managerial level. I don't know her name but she had very short black hair and she told him he was rude. I thought she was rude. Every time I come here the lines are long, but they move along really fast. Everyone is all so helpful here. The girl manager is always the one that helps me she always greets me with a smile. She always seems to be here either during day or the night, but she is always helping and saying hello to everyone on the floor. What I like is being able to bring in my dog without any complains. I am so appreciative for Jessicas help, I came here for their western union and although I wasn't able to withdraw my money here Jessica was such a sweetheart and super helpful. The only reason Im writing this review is because I was deeply disappointed and a bit irritated on the way her coworkers treated her, the guy with the curly hair and the women with the glasses were pretty rude. Especially when the woman pushed Jessica while she was helping me. And honestly I was also going to buy ice cream from here because it's the best in my opinion but after this experience I was just to irritated and left without my purchase. Worst pharmacy ever!! To all please avoid. I tried calling in prescriptions for patients and get put on hold for 30 min. Multiple people picked up the phone than just put me back on hold. Its not like im calling to refill narcotics for the patients but daily life saving drugs. So to all that value your health stay away and find another pharmacy like walgreens down the street they picked up my call and let me refill multiple life saving medicines for the patients that needed them within minutes and werent rude when picking up the phone. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. Idk who the pharmacy thinks they are here. They disregard what the Drs prescribe and say and do what they want. To the point of even changing the prescribed dosage, mgs and even holding the meds til they say they think they should give it to you because they think you've taken too much. Where is corporate to look at this place! There ice cream is up and running during the day and then at night they put signs that say out of service just because it is a few of them. This is insane don't have a hand dip area if you aren't going to serve ice cream. This place looks so cluttered and dirty. The aisles look so lonely and sad. New location is a HUGE upgrade from the old one! They were at the old spot since it used to be Thrifty's and thats been over 20 years... This is so nice inside and out. This is honestly the last rite aid I would go to. The staff is disgustingly rude. Jocelyn has the worst attitude and should not be working with customers. I dropped off two prescriptions and received one. I asked her if she was sure and if I could speak with the first associate whom I provided both prescriptions and she rolled her eyes and said "yeah but she's going to tell you the same thing" which is they didn't receive it, which was obviously not the case. She didn't even verify with the associate that I gave her two prescriptions. I went home double checked my paperwork my dentist provided me under the impression I must have forgot one. I drove back upset because now I've just waisted my time confirming what I already knew which was I gave them both prescriptions. I went inside to speak to the pharmacist and of course Jocelyn with her terrible attitude just looked at me and said "yes?" I asked if I could speak to the pharmacist because I obviously was not satisfied with the answer she gave me and she rolled her eyes and called over the pharmacist Julia who was very sweet and explained to me that she had to verify the information my dentist provided before she could fill the prescription and she would follow up with me. I was tired of the CVS on glenoaks. First they took away the Sylmar Professional Pharmacy about 3 years ago. They literally took them out of business. Then they took over all prescriptions. And gave real bad service. I went there for about 3 years . Now I switched over to this Rite Aid. I used their drive up service for the first time and it was AWESOME ! They called me in person to let me know the arrival of my perscription. They are friendly and courteous. I would recommend this pharmacy over CVS for ever. read more

Three check out counters were open. My wife stood in a long line. When it was finally her turn, the clerk said, "I'm closed" and walked away. When Rite Aid bought Thrifty, the place went downhill. Full of merchandise, dirty, few clerks. Always long lines. So now they are in a new building, but they still are understaffed, expect long lines at checkout. Tons of merchandise, but hard to find. Not a pleasant experience. The corporation is run by bean counters, is not worthy of trust, not admirable. The culture of the company is as bad as Wells Fargo. Now I read your response: " We are sorry... If you would like to discuss this more..." Its the same words you tell everybody. What a stupid, thoughtless response! You should be panicked by all the negative reviews your store is getting. You should be begging your customers for more information so you can get to work on changing the mood of the place. Instead you throw out a pacifier! Well, it won't work. Your sales are probably only one third of what they would be if you knew how to run a drugstore. read more

When I got my prescription, it was going to. Be cvs or rite Aid, I choose rite Aid . Firstly the drop off was pretty smooth, the guy behind the counter was really helpful ,got my prescription ,told me it should be 20 minutes . NOW it came time to pick up my med ... different story, the gentleman ahead of me was obviously impaired , the lady asked him for his birthday so she can grab his meds , the man had trouble hearing her , so what does she do ?she yells at him !! She was right next to him too, now the guy try again to give his birthday , again she doesn't understand him and yells at him again really have patients lady . So the guy gets his meds, I'm next she ask for my birthday, she had no trouble hearing me. BUT!! The thing that really pissed Me off was when she gave me my meds. No eye contact , she didn't hand my meds to me, she pretty much just left them on the counter and said " next person in line ",.
