Parking is a hit or miss, most of the time almost as close as to the Home Depot. Not all Costco's have the same items. Today I went to the Costco wholesale food court. I ate the single slice of pepperoni pizza because it was a good deal. I like the selection of foods even though it's limited. I ordered using the kiosk and paid with card. Next I waited 15 minutes for the order. I went to the window and showed my receipt and said thank you to the server. I love how hot and cheesy the pizza was. It had a lot of pepperoni on it which was enjoyable because I wanted the pizza to be covered in it. It was kinda burnt which was alright. read more

That's how crazy this location gets, people come in groups as a goal to obtain excessive amounts of eggs. As soon as they opened the store, people ran-not walked-but ran towards the eggs, however, that Sunday, the eggs were in a different section and people were diverted towards them. DANGEROUS DELI PRACTICES: Re-labeled food made us sick! I am beyond disgusted with the Pacoima Costco deli. My husband and I both have severe food poisoning after eating the Chicken Alfredo purchased here. When I looked at the package, I discovered a "Sell By" label had been placed directly over a hidden, original label. They literally covered up the original packaging information to keep selling it. It is gross and dangerous that this warehouse would risk their members' health just to avoid tossing a tray of pasta. I have already filed a formal complaint with the health department and have photo proof of the overlapping labels. Do NOT trust the deli dates at this location. The whole pepperoni pizza at the food court was surprisingly disappointing. It was dry and had little cheese. We ordered a cheese only pizza and they had to make it. Waited less than 10 minutes and it came out perfect. Put the other pizza to shame. It had tons of cheese and tasted great because it was made to order and had not been pre made. Their new system is fast , tons of pizzas just waiting to be handed out, but fast is not always good. By having the pizzas pre made they've compromised on taste and quality. Will not be buying the pepperoni anymore and cheese only if they make it to order. Management, this is a problem. It's better to wait for a pizza to be made than to receive a subpar product. I really did not know how close, the Costco Pacoima location is to my place. It is also so easy to get to. My usual location is the one in Northridge, but it has increasingly become a very crowded place, with insane parking. Sometimes, I go to the one in Simi Valley. It is more manageable, but can also get clogged. So my visit to Costco Pacoima was by necessity. I was in the market for a new lap top and the Northridge location had it on display but did not say it was the last one. I stood in line, paid and then found out they were out of stock. An efficient supervisor directed me to the Pacoima location (which had 5 of them). By the time I got there (after 24 hours), there were 3 left and I was able to get one. What I liked most about this place (so far), is it was not crazy, there was space to move, ample parking (so far), the associates come to you without flagging, the check out lines are not humongous and the service is stellar. I normally go to a different Costco location but this location on Paxton St. is always fully stocked and replenished. Their tri tip, ribs and steak selection is always plenty. The cuts are well proportioned and seem to always be fresh. I also noticed how this specific location is not as packed compared to the other Costco locations. Whenever I go to Costco on Tampa Ave, the items I want or advertised are gone within a few days while this specific location seems to have it. Customer service here is always on point and they are consistent. You can ask the employees for help or assistance for any items you have a question about or are looking for. Great pricing, sales and plenty selection from their coupon book which they also post online and on their app. Stocked up on tri tip, ribs. Never shopping here again. Thankfully, I live near Northridge, where the management is always helpful, polite, and efficient. At this location, I was given a hard time over a simple mattress return. They had to call three different managers, and it took over 30 minutes just to tell me they wouldn't accept the return. During that time, I even overheard staff whispering, "They shop at Costco a lot, so we're trying to help," which felt unprofessional. One of the managers was especially rude and dismissive, repeating "that's our policy" with no effort to assist or find a solution. I strongly recommend avoiding this store if you can. If possible, shop at the Northridge or Van Nuys locations they're consistently helpful, respectful, and a much better experience overall. read more

Today I went into the warehouse, returned an item and bought my shopping list all within 17 minutes, including checkout. I had hoped that three years later, my experience at this location would have improved - but unfortunately, I encountered the exact same discriminatory treatment. I returned to this Costco because it's located in my community, yet once again, I was stopped, this time it wat the entrance and asked to show ID. The associate, Beverly, appeared to single out Black customers while not checking others, and her attitude was extremely unpleasant. Although I scanned my app as instructed, she claimed it wasn't me (which was false), and then insisted I needed a physical Costco card--also untrue. She sent me to customer service, where I was immediately allowed in after verifying my information. It's incredibly disappointing to face this kind of behavior in 2025. While I'm strongly considering canceling my membership, I have a large family, and shopping in bulk continues to be essential for us. Still, this situation is unacceptable. There needs to be a serious review of the hiring and training practices at this location. Incidents like this warrant immediate attention and investigation. Decided to shop here to buy waters, eggs, salad, and other wholesale stuff since we were around the area when we saw a line building up outside. We asked what it is for, and they said it was for Pokemon. So I decided to line up bc these will be great gifts for the kiddos come Christmas to open. So when it was our turn, for some odd reason, the batch we received were bottom barrel batch with the boxes bent and front ripped. We asked kindly if we can swap it for a decent box that's not ripped and we're ok if they're bent, but the lady said "they're all like that" with an attitude. There are certainly some perks to shopping at Costco, like the consistent layout, variety of products, and the overall savings, but my experiences at this particular location in Pacoima have been less than stellar. Let's start with the customer service Yes, this is where things really go downhill. The first incident occurred at the checkout. After I emptied my cart, I had my personal bag inside, and the cashier loudly asked if there was anything in my bag I should be concerned about. I'm not sure why she felt the need to single me out, especially since I hadn't even left the store yet. What made it worse is that she was Hispanic, just like I am. Why question me like that? It felt uncomfortable and uncalled for, and certainly not a professional loss prevention tactic. By the way, what items should go on the revolver for the clerk to scan? What is too big? Make a sign!! if not I'll leave it all in so that you can use your handy scanner Another frustrating situation happened at the self-checkout. Even though I had a handheld scanner, I was told I had to unload everything onto the main scanning area. Why? It's unnecessary, especially when the handheld scanner should allow for more convenience and speed. Every time I come to this Costco, it's a gamble when it comes to stock. It's hard to find basic items like eggs, egg whites, or even ground beef. If you're lucky enough to walk in at 10 AM, you might catch them restocked, but there's no guarantee. I've asked for the large 10lb chubs of ground beef several times, and they never have them packaged. To make matters worse, the 6lb pre-packaged ground beef often has small holes, like the wrapping wasn't done properly. The sample stations, which are one of the fun parts of Costco, also seem lacking here. There aren't enough samples, and considering the crowds, they should definitely be offering more. And the final straw for me was the interaction I had at the food court. The self-checkout doesn't accept cash, so I went to the window to order a pizza and let the cashier know I'd be paying in cash. She flat out told me I couldn't pay cash. I politely thanked her and left. To my surprise, I went to another Costco location and found that they do accept cash payments at the food court. Pacoima just seems to be behind the times in that regard or customer service isn't held accountable. I walk out to my car and I get bombarded someone selling strawberries and fruit to even a man trying to load up my groceries. I just want to walk in and out. Overall, I'm disappointed in the value the workers have. I use to aspire to even work her growing up, but, Customer service here is lacking, and the store's inventory is inconsistent. I'm giving this Costco location a 1-star rating unless their customer service improves overall. read more

Our previous location had terrible parking situation and never seemed to be a good time to go. (this is still true) Now that we have the Pacoima location, there are good and better times to visit. Terrible management pushing upgrading from regular to Executive membership so hard, that they blocked my 85 year old father in law from coming in to his hearing aid appointment on time. Then they wanted him to get in a huge line to wait with people with shopping carts, when he can barely stand. Why does the hearing aid dept. book appointments at 9-9:30am if they won't let people in? Calmly explained to managers, and absolutely no shame. This kind of pushiness does not make you upgrade your cards. It makes you not want to ever renew them! Shame! Reviews are right, CSR is bad! I just wanted to quickly place a simple order for pick up for Sunday 3 cheese and 3 pepperoni for a party. All I said is "I would like to place an order for Sunday" when the woman on the phone couldn't give me any good reason why I couldn't place the order now (Thursday-it's 5PM) and she just said to rather call again tomorrow and I'm just confused as to why they couldn't take my order now and I let her know and she didn't have to say much to know she had an attitude and that "Uggh"' when I asked why I couldn't do it today? Lady, I'm not your mother or friend, this is not how you greet customers or anybody for that matter. What if is one of the executives calling, would they get this kind of rudely tone too? Duringa severe heatwave in 2021, our air conditioner died. Went through Costco thinking we would get reputable installer for new HVAC system. After initial install, had to have them return because cool air was riding between the unit and the roof (roof mounted system). Being i in Los Angeles, it didn't rain until 1.5 years later, so much so it broke out 8 drought, but it also broke out ceiling. Water has been leaking from the unit into the house ever since. Lenox won't cover the install and Costco claims no responsibility with this party, so I've been front to patch it with no luck. Gone owners insurance won't cover due to poor installation method, so we now need a new roof because of the new air conditioner. Much better to go with company directly rather than Costco on this one. read more
