Since the store was remodeled everything is much easier to find and when you have to wait in line at front there is an actual line instead of everyone lining up down an aisle line before. However, the reason for my two star review is for the pharmacy. I generally use my mail order so it is rare that I have to pick up anything from the pharmacy. Recently I came down with a cough and was prescribed an inhaler and pills. My doctor's office has a pharmacy which I tried to have the prescriptions filled there, but they did not renew their contract with my insurance. I had the prescriptions transferred to rite aid. Upon arriving from rite aid I was told they had to come from the doctor's office. I guess you can't have a prescription transferred from one pharmacy for another. Then I was told that the inhaler is on back order and they don't know when they will get it. I could have paid full price for it at rain cross without my insurance because they had both my prescriptions there. I called Raincross and asked if this was typical and what should I do? Were they aware of this being back ordered at pharmacies? I'm going to have to call the doctor to have them resend my prescriptions, so I might as well have him send them somewhere else but how do I know a third pharmacy will have that in stock?? How am I supposed to know inventory levels?? Rite aid was not helpful at all. Raincross actually helped me a lot even though I did not fill with them. They said that rite aid should be helping me find another pharmacy (another rite aid) that has it in stock. They just gave all my prescriptions (copies so I knew what I was getting) back to me. It took me a while to get a hold of my doctor because it was Friday and they only work half day. Finally I was able to get thru to an on-call doctor and had him send my prescriptions to Walgreens. I had no problem getting what I needed and they gave me a tutorial with the inhaler, etc. they had great customer service and from now on I will be going to Walgreens. read more

Since it was remodeled, everything is organized and I usually find what I need. I give this rite aid 3 stars because the staff is rude and depressed. They all look and sound like they hate their jobs! And there's always too many people in line and not enough registers open. Its also open 24 hrs so that's a plus. read more

Do not shop at this location.... they have lazy customer service representatives. You think your shopping at a nice store but the ghetto is who runs the place. All I wanted to do was cash my lousy $20 lotto winnings... they couldn't even do that. If you cant payout lotto then stop it after the time you do a change of your registers... I waited almost 10 minutes, as the only customer in line, to be told that they couldn't cash my lotto even though I was holding it in front of me with no other purchases. I guess Jess Corona doesn't know how to run a store or knows that his employees provide customer service that is half-assed! They inconvenienced me and I waste my valuable time when I could have gone someplace else! I feel discriminated against! Had I done a purchase and paid with a big bill you would have had to make change of more than $20 or lost another sale. Lazy night crew, 9:30pm, is what the review is pointing out! read more

I come here often because I always forget to buy something elsewhere and have to make another stop and pick up a lot of small, random things. It's stocked like any other Rite Aid. I'm not sure how characteristic of Rite Aid this is, but I often see huge stacks of boxes in the corner of the store where the cosmetics and nail polishes are. I think they are supposed to be stocking but no one is doing it and just left them there. They last for days sometimes. The cashiers here must like working here because I recognize a few of them every time I go in. They're always kind of sad or tired looking except one of them. Kind of an oldish man, he's always striking up a conversation. The women are mostly like drones. The service is very Rite-Aid-ish, and it's never really not stocked, so I don't have a problem with it. I've been to the pharmacy once and I don't remember how the service was. I remember they didn't have enough of the antibiotics I needed for my strep throat and I thought I was dying. It was late night and I had no choice but to wait til next day so I can go to a different store to get my prescription filled. FYI, strep throat is very painful when swallowing, and thats like once every few seconds. I almost cried there because I was so looking forward to getting rid of it.... :P I couldn't believe they ran out of drugs at a pharmacy! But hey, I've been to el pollo loco that ran out of chicken multiple times, and Wendy's that ran out of chicken sandwiches... :P read more

I always forget to check I here lol I come here like five times a week! They are 24hrs and they pretty much have everything you need. My go to store. The employees are nice and cool :) I also love their Thrifty ice cream! It's the best ice cream EVER! read more

I don't know if I'm the only one who has experienced this but probably not... The creepy old security guard that works at night always says uncomfortable comments to me as I walk in to the store and out. Of course I can tell the difference between being friendly and perverted. I no longer want to go shop there because of him. If I have to go in because of the time of night I absolutely hate/dread it. I actually have to ask my older brother to come with me to the store to prevent him from saying uncomfortable comments but that doesn't stop the looks I get from him. Extremely unprofessional and rude. What makes him think that kind of behavior is okay towards females? Something needs to be done about him. read more

This store is nice and clean. It really looks nice since they remodeled. We go here sometimes because they have a good selection of medicine. Like Tylenol and other types of medicine. Sometimes you can find deals on various household items. However, I have had occurrences in the past where they advertise something on sale and then when they ring it up at the cash register, it charges you the non sale price. For instance I bought motor oil from them on sale. It was the only item I bought that day and when they put it into the cash register, it was the non sale price. I had to have the manager go back to where I found the item to prove to him that he had the wrong price. read more

This Rite Aid can either be very good or very bad depending on who is your cashier and since I coupon (not extreme) I tent to spend a bit more time with the cashier. For the most part cashiers are friendly and patient but managers ..... Especially the store manager, I rather come back at another time than be helped by him......I also would like for them to be knowledgeable about upcoming sales so they can prepare and be well stocked, I know have to go to the Rite Aid down the hill to get things this one is out of ..... read more

There are no liquor stores in Canyon Crest. You either got to Ralph's and pay post apocalyptic prices or go to Rite Aid and get the best prices on beer anywhere. Seriously, they have the best prices on beer anywhere. I send cheap beer alerts on Twitter for these prices. The employees are personable and friendly. I'm not a fan of the pharmacy - some snarks over there but I switched to Kaiser so I'm not going to beef them anymore. Ralph is awesome, Mimi and others are amazing and take pride in their work, Walter is cool...an acquired taste but a good guy. They all work hard and remember us regulars. I have shopped at the Canyon Crest Rite Aid store for many years and find it to be well-stocked, clean and the prices are reasonable; their sale prices and coupons really make your dollars go further too, and now with Plenti points on top of our Wellness+ card, we save quite a bit. The employees have actually WALKED WITH ME THROUGH THE STORE when I have asked where an item is if I cannot find it. Seriously, who does that anymore? Usually at other stores, that I won't throw under the bus, they just point in the general direction of the item and say, "I think it's over there." I saw a negative review about the Pharmacy and was genuinely surprised, as I have always been treated courteously and professionally by their knowledgeable staff. I order my prescriptions once a month and signed up to get the automated phone call telling me when my medicines are ready for pick-up. Patty, Tracy, Sangita (spelling?) and a couple others know my voice when I call and have been kind enough to answer my questions over the years when I haven't wanted to "bother my Primary Physician over something small". They have even ordered a brand of arthritis cream for me that they normally don't carry and given an honest opinion about which products may work a little better than others when I have asked for their advice. The Pharmacy also carefully monitors my prescriptions and making sure they are "compatible" with my homeopathic herbs and vitamin supplements. In addition they make sure I am well informed if I need to take a new prescription like I did recently when I tore my hamstring. I have also taken advantage of the vaccinations that are offered there; getting my shingles and Pneumococcal vaccines in less than half the time it would have taken me to see my Physician. The machine that other reviewers mentioned also gives your weight, BMI, blood pressure and will store the information if you choose to do that. read more

This is a terrible pharmacy. I used them when I was younger and recently moved back to my home town. I thought I would use them again so I had my doctor send my prescriptions to them. I went to pick up the medicines several hours later and they had not been filled. They claimed it was because my insurance changed. They also claimed to have tried to call me but they had not; and I could prove it as there were no missed calls on my phone. They had no explanation for their policy. The staff seemed to think that I should have known their policy and have been happy to wait half an hour for the medications. I should add that I've never had a similar experience at CVS or Walgreens with new insurance . I will never return. read more

I love this rite aid because it is conveniently located near my home, it's always kept neat and tidy and the employees are always friendly, however the pharmacy sucks! There is always one pharmacist ringing people up with a line of like 5 customers, but there are definitely two registers to ring people up. I've also recently had issues when filling a prescription. I'll call first thing in the morning to fill it, get a pick up time in the afternoon, arrive in the evening to pick up my prescription only for them to tell me that it was never processed and that I would have to wait 15 minutes. Don't tell me my prescription will be ready by noon when I get there at 5pm and it was never even taken care of. read more

Was buying a card and a bag of beef jerky (jerky on sale) I go to pay and Erwin asks if I have a "wellness" card. I don't really know what this is so I said no. When I looked at my receipt I did not get the sale price for the jerky. I asked about the sale price and with a sarcastic attitude replays "well that's why I asked if u had a wellness card" he did not offer to sign me up, or warn me that without it discounts don't apply. well good job Erwin ill go to walgreens from now on and u can be rude to, and rip of other people. read more

I just went into the store and when I proceeded to check out the cashier was extremely rude. The cashier was thin with long dark hair, however I did not get her name. I have shopped there hundreds of times and have never been dismissed like that. I asked a question, she was talking to one of her co-workers and told me I would have to wait. She would not check me out and ignored me while talking with her co-worker. I said excuse me and she gave me a dirty look. I walked out without buying anything and will think twice before going back. read more

I showed up to get my son's prescriptions as the pharmacist was leaving for lunch so they would not give me his prescription without a "consultation", and told me I would have to come back in an hour, which was ridiculous because they weren't any medicines that he hasn't had before. When I returned later that day to pick up the prescriptions the pharmacist was there, but they didn't have one of the medicines he needed! Seriously? If they had told me that earlier when I was there I would have just had them transfer the prescription to another pharmacy. When I asked why they didn't inform me of this earlier, the cashier just kind of laughed and shrugged her shoulders. Then came the time for my "consultation", the pharmacist walked over and said, "Do you have any questions?" I said No, and she walked away. So basically they made me wait to get half of my sick kids medicine just so I could tell the pharmacist I had no questions, not to mention that i now need to drive to another Rite Aid own the opposite side of town to get the other half of his meds. I will NEVER step foot in this place again! If I could give zero stars I would! read more

Okay so reading some of the other comments about Rite Aid alcohol ID stories I think we all share this one cashier. Anyways some background I (age 25) went in with my DAD during father day. My dad went to buy beer we go up to the cash register to HIS purchase. The "lovely" power tripping cashier ask to see both our IDs. wtf.... I did not have my ID on me so the cashier refused to sale us the alcohol. I asked if she would sale if there were younger kids in with their parents to purchase, and she replied along the lines of "Well because you look over 18 I am going to have to see your ID. So I guess if I look like a high schooler she would sale? I then said I would just leave and she said she still would not sale the alcohol because she knows and my Dad would not be able to purchase alcohol from that store in 24 hours unless I showed mt ID... So if you want to be an underage drinker just look under 18 and you can go in with your "parent" to score some alcohol. Cheers! read more

We have been avid customers at this rite aide and yesterday we purchased alcohol at 1:59am. However today we made it to the register with a case of beer at 1:58am and we were told we could not purchase our beer. As regular customers and a value customer with card, it would be courteous to have the same standards with each employee. I am not satisfied with inconsistency with this business. Nothing against Rite Aide, however the night shift of employees needs to cater to the customer. The law is 2:00am for last alcoholic purchases and this business is not abiding by it. read more

Same issue with the alcohol, I was with my son who is 16, he doesn't have a diver licenses yet. I take several items, including a six pack of beer, to casher, she asks me for my ID, I am 50, hard to mistake me for being under 21, but I play along. Then she asks for by sons ID, he doesn't have an ID that is acceptable to her. She tells me I can't buy the beer because by son doesn't have an ID, even if he did he still wasn't 21. I tell him to leave the store so I can buy the beer, she proceeds to tell me that she wouldn't sell me the beer because she saw him with me, and I was banned from buying alcohol from the store for 24 hours. Now I am pissed, I ask to speak to the manager; she tells me she is the manager. What's even worse, she was rude and spoke to me with a condescending attitude. Guess what, I still go to buy alcohol because it cost much less there than Ralphs, but now leave my family in the car. But I refuse to use Rite Aid to fill any of my family's prescriptions or to purchase anything else from that store. read more
