I have been going to Rite Aid ever since it was a Thriftys & the only reason I consider going back here is for the 1/2+ off after holiday goodies (Popcorn Christmas Tins & Marshmallow Peeps are the best!), early AM grocery runs when all other places are closed (open 24/7 and safe), and of course the star of the show, non other then the always delicious and inexpensive....Thriftys Ice Cream. Apart from those reasons I avoid this Rite Aid location. It is always neat, clean, and well stocked; but overpriced and horrible customer service. Besides the fact that I can find items at Ralphs across the parking lot for cheaper (and that is saying a lot because Ralphs leans a lot towards the expensive side) and the employees never being able to direct me to the correct aile for anything I'm needing to purchase; I haven't been back here since what I joke about with my husband as "remember that time that lady at Rite Aid yelled at me?" incident. I don't know about the other Rite Aids around, but when this one becomes busy customers begin to make a queue that starts at an imaginary point somewhere between the seasonal item's aisles. I knew about this unspoken rule (key word UNSPOKEN), but it wasn't busy until after I had arrived at checkout, leaving me the victim of some random cashier's strange rage. "Excuse me you can't cut! Get in the back of line!", she yelled. Well although I shouldn't have reacted to her snippy attitude with one of my own, I explained to her the misunderstanding she had and even though she apprehended her mistake while grudgingly completing my order (hehe, I'm not getting in the back of the line no matter how much you scream!), she didn't apologize. Anyways, bad customer service is a pet peeve of mine so that is why I dished out 2 stars and perhaps maybe again in the future I will go back for the exceptions mentioned above, but I'll think twice about it, and I most certainly will never become a regular here. read more

The only times I've been here are between 1:30am and 2:00am to buy alcohol when everything else is closed. And every time I do it's such an easy and chill experience. The workers there are very energetic for so late at night! One time the cashier spoke in nothing but rhymes, and another time the cashier was making new jokes to each customer. That takes a lot of effort when it's 2am and probably near the end of your shift, so kudos to them. It's clean, small and open 24 hours. It's off Canyon Crest which in a really nice and I'd say safe shopping center. I think we got a deal on national ice cream day because it was buy one get one free of their award winning ice creams. Also they have the ice cream counter if you just want a scoop or two in a cone or cup and not a whole gallon. read more

This review is specifically regarding the photo department at this location. We place our photo orders online for pick-up in this store. They always seem to have a difficult time finding our order and the last time they even sent us away saying that it was completely lost and we would have to place the order online again. When we called the next day prior to resubmitting it online, they had mysteriously found the lost order. The quality of the pictures is substandard, we occasionally receive an order back with mysterious ink blot moles placed on our face or streaks of ink on the back of the pictures that get all over our hands when touched. Unfortunately, the convenience of being able to order from home and pick up the pictures within an hour will keep us using their photo service again and again. Plus, it's always fun to watch people go into the store and try to guess what type of alcoholic beverage they will come out with. We are still waiting for that I.E. Dude Bro to walk out of the store carrying a bottle of wine instead of the stereotypical bottle of Cuervo and twelve-pack of Bud. read more

The Indian woman that is supposed to be a pharmacist in this rite aid was horrible. After she spent more than five minutes chatting it up with a man, it was my turn. She began asking me for my ID. I was purchasing a sinus product and several other items. When I asked what my ID would tell her about my purchase, she took an attitude said it is law. I told her this is something I usually get in a prescription and had never had to show my DL. She then wanted to know if it was my correct address. I told her I had recently moved and it was not, but the correct information is attached to my rite aid card. She then asked me another question about my address. I told her and asked if she needed my work info too. She yelled at me. Literally yelled that I would change my attitude if I was to be waited on. I asked an honest question. I asked for my license back and she slammed it on the counter. I went to the front to complete my purchase of other items. I told the manager what happened and said I would rather drive twenty miles to a different pharmacy than to ever be treated that way again by that women who clearly needs a break and some customer service skills. I will not be retiring to that place ever again. And I live two blocks away. Good job Rite Aid. You lost me as a customer permanently. Took my Mom out to diner and came back 3-1/2 hours later and still had to wait because it was not ready. Staff here are incredibly RUDE. I wont ever go back in here. We came in here the other night to pick up a few things because we didn't want to drive to target or somewhere else because its way farther. So we came here and got what we needed. We had alcohol and when she asked for ID we gave her one of them, mine was not on me or even in the car and she told us they cant sell it to us if they don't see everyone in the groups ID. So since I didn't have mine I went outside, and she proceeded to tell my boyfriend she still couldn't sell him the alcohol, which was not all we had. We had about $35 of other stuff like nail polish and shaving items. She was extremely rude, and we left not getting anything. They lost good business, and costumers overall. This review is for the pharmacy. Something is seriously wrong with this pharmacy. They get my prescriptions wrong 100% of the time. If there is a problem they will never call to let you know. You find out about any issues when you get there. They always have either the wrong drug, the wrong price, or simply do not carry many medications. If I were an employee in this pharmacy I would be very embarrassed to work there. They abviously do not take any pride in there work and there attitude shows it. Some sort of regulation or over site of this pharmacy is needed. If you value your health choose a different pharmacy. read more

Since the store was remodeled everything is much easier to find and when you have to wait in line at front there is an actual line instead of everyone lining up down an aisle line before. However, the reason for my two star review is for the pharmacy. I generally use my mail order so it is rare that I have to pick up anything from the pharmacy. Recently I came down with a cough and was prescribed an inhaler and pills. My doctor's office has a pharmacy which I tried to have the prescriptions filled there, but they did not renew their contract with my insurance. I had the prescriptions transferred to rite aid. Upon arriving from rite aid I was told they had to come from the doctor's office. I guess you can't have a prescription transferred from one pharmacy for another. Then I was told that the inhaler is on back order and they don't know when they will get it. I could have paid full price for it at rain cross without my insurance because they had both my prescriptions there. I called Raincross and asked if this was typical and what should I do? Were they aware of this being back ordered at pharmacies? I'm going to have to call the doctor to have them resend my prescriptions, so I might as well have him send them somewhere else but how do I know a third pharmacy will have that in stock?? How am I supposed to know inventory levels?? Rite aid was not helpful at all. Raincross actually helped me a lot even though I did not fill with them. They said that rite aid should be helping me find another pharmacy (another rite aid) that has it in stock. They just gave all my prescriptions (copies so I knew what I was getting) back to me. It took me a while to get a hold of my doctor because it was Friday and they only work half day. Finally I was able to get thru to an on-call doctor and had him send my prescriptions to Walgreens. I had no problem getting what I needed and they gave me a tutorial with the inhaler, etc. they had great customer service and from now on I will be going to Walgreens. read more
