Came here for brunch with my parents, it was really nice. I've checked out their menu and looked at reviews online ahead for good brunch recs and ultimately settled on this place. The interior is super chill. There's a place for a live band to play (Saturday & Sunday evenings) and a nice bar to sit at. There's stairs to a small upper floor where the brunch was held. Our booth looked over the ledge, it was nice.
We got complimentary muffins to start off and they were so good. Crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They were still warm, too! I ordered the Grilled Chicken and Portobello, my mom got the Black Forest Ham Crepe, and my dad got the Apple and Brie Crepe. You could choose between roasted potatoes, a potato galette, or a garden salad as a side to any brunch item.
The food was very good. I really enjoyed the potato galette and thought that everything in my dish went well together. The only thing I'd say is that for the $, wish it came with another slice of French toast. My dads crepe was really good-- when I tried some it took me to the bottom of a ski hill with a beavertail in my hand, or just a nice winter resort. I really enjoyed it. I didn't try any of my moms crepe but she really liked it!
The potato galettes were so unique! Kind of like fried mashed potatoes. Crunchy and crispy on the outside but soft and pillowy on the inside. It was a nice savoury touch to the meal. We talked with the owners afterwards and found out we are from similar areas back in TO! I'm definitely going to come back and probably for a nice Saturday night meal so I could enjoy the live band.
