Fresh and flavourful handmade pizza's very close to Byward market. Thanks to fellow Yelpers for the reviews. I loved this place not only for the pizzas but also for patio :) Which you rarely find in Toronto. I love my pizza thin and crisp, with fresh veggies and Fiazza's pizza was just like one! The place is cute with rustic interiors and the prices are good. The sides, house wine & beer are good to choose from. I might visit the place again if I visit Ottawa next!

2 pizzas (Greek Goddess and BBQ Chicken), wings and 2 drinks combo

It is an understatement to say that this place was a complete disappointment. For a pizzeria, the options are very limited (although I do appreciate that they serve vegetarian, halal and build-your-own pizza options). My partner and I had a combo - greek goddess and bbq chicken pizzas, 10 fiery chicken wings and 2 drinks. The pizza tasted mediocre and was dry. Chicken wings were ok (taste better with sauce which by the way comes for an extra charge). It was also upsetting to realize that we were overcharged (the combo was 34.5$, or 41$ after taxes and tips but they charged us 47$). Do yourself a favour and go dine in at another place or if you are willing to take a shot then don't forget to check the bill before paying.

Was looking for a local pizza place and found this gem! It feels like a mix between fast food and sit down with their cafeteria style place. The food was amazing and they were very accommodating for any changes in toppings. I would definitely recommend Fiazza to family and friends to give it a try! The crust is very thinly and crunchy, and the toppings taste fresh and of great quality.

A friendly, pleasant setting for a fresh and tasty oven baked pizza. The pizzas are all individual sizes and comes in a choice of store preset combinations or build your own at a decent price (around the $9-12 range). I have had the owner's (Luigi) pizzas at his previous restaurant and loved them and was not disappointed. There are soups and salads on the menu. The soup comes from Les Fougères, a great restaurant in Chelsea, Québec. Two Kichessipi beers and wines are on tap. Harvey and Vern's soft drinks are sold here too. The setting is casual. You walk up to the counter, order and pay. When it is ready, they bring the food to the table. Definitely a chill place with great quality food and drinks at a decent price to check out or to hang out if you are in the market.

    'Sicilian' pizza

Wow. I'm really going against the grain here but I was really unimpressed with Fiazza. Why? A good pizza is a combination of three elements: 1) crust/dough, 2) sauce, 3) toppings. Fiazza, unfortunately, fails on the crust/dough front for two reasons: 1) their dough simply has no taste/flavour, and 2) the texture/crust is off as it a little to crisp underneath and soggy on the top. This may be due to cooking it too fast but you can get custom pizza's from Farm Boy now that are cooked equally fast and have a better crust/dough than Fiazza. Also, having had two pizza's with their 'red' sauce (a Margherita and a Sicilian) I wasn't overly impressed with the red sauce either. I'll give them that some of their pizza's may have good and flavourful toppings but 1/3 of a good pizza still isn't a good pizza in my book. (Side note: while the Sicilian was flavourful, the Margherita was not. The best in town I've had so far still is Tennessee Willems in Hintonburg). Some other details: - Prices? Prices are fair. The lowest I think is the Margherita at $7.95 and they go up to about $12. You can create your own pizza starting at $7.50. - Beer? Yes, they have beer. I think four types of tap. Full pint is $6.50-$7.00. - Patio? Yes. I think there are about 6-8 four person tables just on the side of the restaurant. - Parking? There are a few spots in a little square that Fiazza shares with surrounding restaurants, maybe 6 spots in total. But it is in the Market so likely you will park wherever you can find parking. - Service? This is essentially self-service as you put your order in like at a cafeteria and then wait for your pizza to be cooked. They say the cook times are 3 minutes and I don't think we had to wait more than 5 minutes for it to be cooked. They'll bring your pizza to you. - Other menu items: They have salads for starters and some brownies for dessert. The salad (caesar) is a bit pricey for the size that you get though. ---- So, all in all, as someone who doesn't eat a lot of bread, I try to make when I do really special so pizza is a real treat for me. Unfortunately, Fiazza doesn't give me what I want in that regard so I can't recommend it. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could but as 2 stars seems a bit harsh (even if I didn't like it), I'll give it three. Based on the number of other good reviews though my opinion is definitely not in the majority.

    Outdoor patio!

Grabbed a margherita pizza and a side salad. We really enjoyed being able to sit outside on the patio with our dog. The service was great. Food was alright -- I think we were hoping the pizza would be better. Meaning, more of the sauce and toppings at the top of the pizza. Alot of it was in the middle, making it pretty soggy and the top was all crust. Best way to eat it was probably folding it so that you get enough sauce at the top lol Overall was okay - I'd like to try the prosciutto next time to see if it's better.

Having a pizza wasn't my option to eat on thanksgiving day but my sister convinced me to go this place and this pizza got me. This place is my the best pizza restaurant in Ottawa! My favorite part is can choose whatever topping on you pizza of course some are extra charge but worth it!! Thin and crunch dough, fresh toppings, and good staff!!

Carnivore with added basil and The Great Canadian
    Andrew V.

Good wood fired pizzas with a nice view outside for people watching. The Great Canadian was meaty with a sweet finish (maple syrup drizzle), overall pretty good but definitely a novelty. The Carnivore had a delightful spiciness and was a more balanced pizza. We added fresh basil to the Carnivore which was a must have. Service was good, beer reasonably priced, and nice outside seating.

Pizza Nerds - Bank - Mushroom Pizza

I've been meaning to try this place for soo long and I finally did! And I wish I had tried it…read moresooner. It might actually be one of my favourite pizzas in the city! The restaurant is cuter inside than I thought. There are some window seats for people-watching on bank st. There are also some hanging lights by the windows. The pizza crust has the perfect crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside texture. It's so good it doesn't even need any dip. I tried both the nerd pizza and the mushroom pizza. The nerd pizza had pickled onions, black pepper molasses bacon, cheese and chili Basil honey. I loved the tangy pickled onions, with the salty-sweet bacon, and the spicy honey. The combination was just perfection. I could use a little more chili though! The mushroom pizza was a white pizza with portobello mushrooms, parm, and truffle oil. The salty parm and the meaty portebello mushrooms were a good combo, but I didn't really taste any truffle oil. I felt like this pizza was good but missing a little something to take it to the next level. Overall, the food was delicious. The drinks are reasonably priced (beer, local kombucha). However, the service was mediocre. I think they only had one or two servers working the entire area on Friday night.

I live really close by but for some reason have never tried Georgie's until recently. I got some…read moretakeout for my husband and I to share. I got a Hot Turkey sandwich platter $13.75 and a slice of Donair pizza $4. They sell pizzas by the slice, but they are not displayed so you have to ask them what kinds they have. The day I went, if I remember correctly, they had 4 types: Cheese, Pepperoni, Bacon and Donair. Slices are $4 each or $5 with a can of pop. 2 slices is $8 or $9 with a can of pop, so no discount if you buy more. However, they do have a pickup discount, which is the equivalent amount to the taxes you would pay. So essentially if you pick up, they pay the tax :) The Hot Turkey sandwich platter was really good. It came with fries and coleslaw. I liked that the coleslaw was vinegar based and not mayo based. It was mostly cabbage with a bit of carrot. I enjoyed it. The fries were just regular fries but they were crispy and good. The sandwich had real turkey breast meat in it (can you believe that I once ordered a hot turkey sandwich and it was a deli meat turkey sandwich covered in gravy?!? Obviously not at this restaurant, lol). The bread was the regular white sandwich bread, but what really set this sandwich apart was the delicious peppery gravy. Man, that stuff is really good! The pizza was good too. They put toppings under the cheese here, which is not my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The donair was thick pieces and tasted more like sausage, but it was still good. The sauce has a distinct flavour to it, which I can't pinpoint, but I liked it. The crust was crispy and even though the crust was thicker than I usually like, I still enjoyed it. I liked that the slice came in a cute cardboard box. The platter came in an aluminum container, but the lid was styrofoam. I'm not a fan of styrofoam, I would have preferred a foil-backed cardboard lid. Service was friendly and I got my food pretty quickly. The restaurant is a strip of businesses along Carling Ave just west of Churchill Ave N. There's free parking at the back of the strip. There's a sign and you have to turn in before you actually see the strip of businesses (Georgie's, Sapporo Sushi, and a few other businesses). If you turn into the parking lot after the strip, that one actually belongs to a different strip mall (the one with Markie's Smoked Meat and Mr. Sub). There are signs indicating you can only park there if you are going to a business in that strip mall. Not sure what enforcement is like, but why chance it if there's also free parking in the proper place, right? Since there's a huge median along this part of Carling Ave, you can only access the restaurant if you are driving westbound on Carling. Georgie's has its main entrance on Carling but there's also a back entrance from the parking lot.

Simply put...AWESOME PIZZA…read more I have ordered from here a few times and I'm embarrassed to say I neglected to review each time before now, I was typically so hungry I just jumped right in... alas I digress. I have had a few different types of pizzas here, in the end my favourite is the cheese. Yup, straight cheese. Seems basic, but the flavour is outstanding and the dough ball to keep the box from sticking to the cheese is a classically delicious touch. I really like the flavour combinations of the cheese with the sauce puts many other to shame. If you are in this end of the town, give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back for sure.
