As a huge pizza fan, I heard great things about this place. It was incredible and did not disappoint! We ordered two pizzas for take out , the spicy garlic & donair sauce as well as the chocolate chip cookie. The pizza was hot and fresh with a wonderfully airy crust. The spicy garlic dip was delicious! Legitimately an awesome dip!! (I personally wouldn't get the donair dip again, it was too sweet for my liking). The cookie was okay, a good dessert, but make no mistakes, the true star of the show was the pizza!! I can't wait to be back!!

Ordered takeout from here because it was highly rated. Loved the sweet and savory taste from the honey. Really thin crust.

I think this is one of my favourite pizza spots! The pizzas, then cross with just the right amount of crust, and taste as if it is baked in a stone oven The flavour profiles are truly exceptional. There is a large variety of vegetarian options which I thought was amazing. The roasted broccoli pizza was delicious and taste a lot like kale chips if that is something you enjoy. The kimchi pizza with something bad I thought I would never order, but I tried it because someone else had got it. It was truly one of the best pizza that I have had MV acidic taste of the kimchi really a nice compliment to the cheese. It is more expensive than your usual pizza, but it is well worth the money if you wanna treat yourself to a nice pizza after a long week

Love love pizza nerds/city goose !! Is my go-to place when I'm ceaving some high quality pizza . My go to is their classic margherita that is called the Queen Elizabeth , it has everything you need , so simple yet so good ! If you ever eat at this place once you open that door the smell of pizza in the oven is just amazing , I'm obssesed with that smell (but weird, but one you go you'll understand what I mean) . Staff are super nice and chill and I never had a bad time at this place . If you are planning on a date , or a chill night with pizza and wine this is definitely the place .

I've walked by this place so many times and have been wanting to try it. Luckily for me, I had a team dinner here. I think this place is also called City Goose...? I don't know sorry! Anyway, it's really chic! The interior is super cozy and the tables are all spaced out nicely. The menu is found by scanning a QR code. They had so many pizza options! Price wise, it's about $18-22 depending on the pizza you get if I remember correctly. They have some other options that aren't just pizza, but I would go for the pizza if I were you! I ordered the Pam Pam/Queen Elizabeth (Goat Cheese Pizza). As you can tell by the pictures, it was super good. The crust was AMAZING. Light, crunchy, fluffy, perfect! The flavour of the pizza was immaculate. I am a sucker for goat cheese, and when paired with honey, you can just take all of my money. It is a combination that does no wrong. Sometimes simple is better. Less is more. Pizza Nerds does that concept extremely well. None of their pizzas seem to overdue it on the toppings, they all have great flavour and crusts! My friends ordered the Donair Pizza, Jalapeño Popper Pizza, the Deluxe, etc. They all looked delicious too! I'm definitely coming back to try all their other pizzas.

Okay, so I don't really know the real difference between Pizza Nerds and City Goose, and it still confuses me why the two of them exist, but I think they're actually the same thing - same location, essentially the same menu other than different names for the pizzas (or at least that's all I've noticed). I haven't been to the restaurant and have only ordered for delivery, so not sure if there are other differences in person. *Edit: I just saw on their website that they do mention they're the same place, but it sounds like Pizza Nerds was created during the pandemic to focus on pizza, of course, whereas City Goose was/is meant to be something more. Looking forward to seeing what City Goose will offer post-pandemic. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile, but it's a bit out of the way and the delivery fee on third-party apps is quite high, in addition to the seemingly higher prices for their pizzas. I had a promotion code, so I thought this was the perfect time to give it a shot. We ordered the Gladstone - Calabrese Pizza (Arnold on the City Goose menu) and the Bank - Mushroom Pizza (Rupert on the City Goose menu), kale Caesar salad, two chili garlic dips, a bottle of lemon ginger Artizen Kombucha, and a can of grapefruit Bubly. The boxes are GreenBox pizza boxes, which are super cool. There's an eco tip on it to turn the box into plates and a storage container, with directions on the front of the box. But the pizza didn't last that long :) To our surprise, there was a third pizza box with "Bonus :) Enjoy :)" written on it. We opened it up and OMG they sent us a free pizza! My husband thought it's almost like they knew they were sending it farther and made up for it with the free pizza. Maybe that was the case, maybe not, but we were very grateful for their generosity nonetheless. My husband even said he would rather eat their pizza than go to a fancy restaurant because it was that good and even felt fancy. The pizza ended up being the Queen Elizabeth - Goat Cheese Pizza (Pam Pam on the City Goose menu), which I really wanted to try but my husband wasn't keen on it. It had local cheese, goat cheese, baked and fresh basil, and spicy honey. My husband's not a fan of honey, or even fresh basil, and is only sometimes in the mood for goat cheese, so he wasn't really into ordering it, but WOW, I'm so glad they sent it to us because it totally changed his mind! It was so good and was his second favourite of the three. The spicy honey was perfect with the goat cheese and super addictive. If you think honey on pizza is weird, just try it, especially spicy honey! My husband's choice was the Gladstone, with "slightly" spicy Calabrese sausage and fresh arugula. The sausage was in small slices rather than the crumbles that you expect "sausage" to be from other pizza places. It truly was just slightly spicy, a little crispy, and the arugula was really great as a touch of bitterness and something to balance the bit of grease in the sausage and freshen it up. The Bank was my choice, a white pizza with marinated portobello mushrooms, cracked blacked pepper, parmesan, and truffle oil. I find truffle oil can seem pretentious and people tend to add it to food to make it seem fancy, but this wasn't at all the case here. It was just tasty! Cheesy and salty, and everything I craved, though it was tied for my favourite with the Queen Elizabeth. Even though they weren't super hot when they got to our place, the pizzas were still so good and just tasted fresh and homemade. They are very thin crust, which is my preference. There's still crust, but it's light and airy. They're also only one size, I think a medium-ish? but with six slices. The chili garlic dip was really good as well. It seemed to separate, with more of the oil on top, but not sure if that's just because it took awhile to get to us. There's a mystery ingredient, but it's vegan. Not super spicy and a big punch of flavour. Went well with all of the pizzas. I'm not sure they have the kale Caesar salad anymore since I don't see it on the menu, but it was better than many of the kale salads I've had at other places. The kale was tossed in olive oil rather than plain, which I despise, so the texture wasn't as fibrous and less laborious to chew. There was a generous amount of parmesan, plenty of salty pancetta, and crunch panko breadcrumbs instead of croutons, which I really enjoyed. I love so much that instead of pop, they offer carbonated soda and local, small-batch kombucha, which also happens to be one of my favourite brands. There's also wine and beer if you're feeling extra fancy. Psst.. you may also find the "Secret Pizza" on the menu, which is a jalapeño popper pizza with tomato sauce, local and goat cheese, pickled jalapeño, and pinko breadcrumb mix for crunch, with a side of tomato dip. I was tempted to order this one, too. Next time! I could write about this place forever. Amazing. Worth the hype.

This place was highly recommended to us. The pizza and service were both excellent! I had the Gladstone/Calabrese pizza and loved it.

Very flavourful pizzas. Thin crust that is fragrant and delicious. And well paired toppings.

I live really close by but for some reason have never tried Georgie's until recently. I got some…read moretakeout for my husband and I to share. I got a Hot Turkey sandwich platter $13.75 and a slice of Donair pizza $4. They sell pizzas by the slice, but they are not displayed so you have to ask them what kinds they have. The day I went, if I remember correctly, they had 4 types: Cheese, Pepperoni, Bacon and Donair. Slices are $4 each or $5 with a can of pop. 2 slices is $8 or $9 with a can of pop, so no discount if you buy more. However, they do have a pickup discount, which is the equivalent amount to the taxes you would pay. So essentially if you pick up, they pay the tax :) The Hot Turkey sandwich platter was really good. It came with fries and coleslaw. I liked that the coleslaw was vinegar based and not mayo based. It was mostly cabbage with a bit of carrot. I enjoyed it. The fries were just regular fries but they were crispy and good. The sandwich had real turkey breast meat in it (can you believe that I once ordered a hot turkey sandwich and it was a deli meat turkey sandwich covered in gravy?!? Obviously not at this restaurant, lol). The bread was the regular white sandwich bread, but what really set this sandwich apart was the delicious peppery gravy. Man, that stuff is really good! The pizza was good too. They put toppings under the cheese here, which is not my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The donair was thick pieces and tasted more like sausage, but it was still good. The sauce has a distinct flavour to it, which I can't pinpoint, but I liked it. The crust was crispy and even though the crust was thicker than I usually like, I still enjoyed it. I liked that the slice came in a cute cardboard box. The platter came in an aluminum container, but the lid was styrofoam. I'm not a fan of styrofoam, I would have preferred a foil-backed cardboard lid. Service was friendly and I got my food pretty quickly. The restaurant is a strip of businesses along Carling Ave just west of Churchill Ave N. There's free parking at the back of the strip. There's a sign and you have to turn in before you actually see the strip of businesses (Georgie's, Sapporo Sushi, and a few other businesses). If you turn into the parking lot after the strip, that one actually belongs to a different strip mall (the one with Markie's Smoked Meat and Mr. Sub). There are signs indicating you can only park there if you are going to a business in that strip mall. Not sure what enforcement is like, but why chance it if there's also free parking in the proper place, right? Since there's a huge median along this part of Carling Ave, you can only access the restaurant if you are driving westbound on Carling. Georgie's has its main entrance on Carling but there's also a back entrance from the parking lot.

Simply put...AWESOME PIZZA…read more I have ordered from here a few times and I'm embarrassed to say I neglected to review each time before now, I was typically so hungry I just jumped right in... alas I digress. I have had a few different types of pizzas here, in the end my favourite is the cheese. Yup, straight cheese. Seems basic, but the flavour is outstanding and the dough ball to keep the box from sticking to the cheese is a classically delicious touch. I really like the flavour combinations of the cheese with the sauce puts many other to shame. If you are in this end of the town, give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back for sure.
