Made in Chicago Pizza, recently opened up in the plaza across from HomeSense and Marks Works Warehouse, where I believe the old Quizno's used to be, off Innes road. They specialize in Chicago style deep dish pizza, and also serve thin crust pizzas, and other apps like fries, wings, salads. It's NYE, so our fam decided to splurge and try out a small cheese deep dish and a large thin crust pizza with olives and onions. The hubs got a side of wings and we also got 2 garlic dipping sauces. The garlic dipping sauces are not on the menu so make sure you ask for them when placing your order. Deep dish pizza: pretty generous sizing for a small, sauce comes on top, cheese underneath. It has potential, but the cheese was not melted in the middle. It may have been our error since we did not eat it right away and went in for the the thin crust first. You can see the layers of cheese underneath, so I can imagine how gooey it would be if fully melted. Thin crust pizza: WAS AMAZING! My hubby who is not a fan of olives and onions on pizza loved it. They were generous with the cheese, and the crust was thin and flakey. It was one of the better thin crust pizzas that I have had in the city. I also enjoy how they cut the pizza in tiny squares. The toppings were placed under the cheese. I recommend the thin crust. It paired nicely with the garlic dipping sauce, that is homemade on site. Keep in mind, I did find the garlic dipping sauce more on the saltier side. The wings: I don't eat meat, but the hubby said they were amazing. He got them covered in hot sauce, and they smelled amazing. All in all, the pizzas were very filling and a nice welcome change to the neighborhood. I would def go back for a thin crust again!

The owner gave us water bottles because we were waiting in our car for the pizza to be ready. He had a water bottle for my boyfriend, myself, and my kid. It was such a kind gesture! I was disappointed because we paid by card and had no way to leave a tip that way. We don't carry cash, so we had to leave without leaving a tip. I think that the restaurant should have a tip option when paying by card. The pizza is really good! I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered one deep dish pepperoni and one thin crust cheese. Both pizzas were excellent.

I liked it. Thick, saucy, cheesy. Similar to the ones in Chicago in my opinion. Strangely the all dressed did not come with pepperoni but I can't remember if the ones in Chicago did. We like all the meat so I thought it was a good addition. Will definitely be back.

    The best Za in town!

I've been meaning to try this place for soo long and I finally did! And I wish I had tried it…read moresooner. It might actually be one of my favourite pizzas in the city! The restaurant is cuter inside than I thought. There are some window seats for people-watching on bank st. There are also some hanging lights by the windows. The pizza crust has the perfect crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside texture. It's so good it doesn't even need any dip. I tried both the nerd pizza and the mushroom pizza. The nerd pizza had pickled onions, black pepper molasses bacon, cheese and chili Basil honey. I loved the tangy pickled onions, with the salty-sweet bacon, and the spicy honey. The combination was just perfection. I could use a little more chili though! The mushroom pizza was a white pizza with portobello mushrooms, parm, and truffle oil. The salty parm and the meaty portebello mushrooms were a good combo, but I didn't really taste any truffle oil. I felt like this pizza was good but missing a little something to take it to the next level. Overall, the food was delicious. The drinks are reasonably priced (beer, local kombucha). However, the service was mediocre. I think they only had one or two servers working the entire area on Friday night.

Ordered 2 of their rotating menu pizzas tonight and was not disappointed. I'm not the type to…read moredeviate from my usual order once I find something I like, but I'm glad I did. The pizzas were light, airy and packed a lot of flavour into each bite. Super full now and I regret nothing

I live really close by but for some reason have never tried Georgie's until recently. I got some…read moretakeout for my husband and I to share. I got a Hot Turkey sandwich platter $13.75 and a slice of Donair pizza $4. They sell pizzas by the slice, but they are not displayed so you have to ask them what kinds they have. The day I went, if I remember correctly, they had 4 types: Cheese, Pepperoni, Bacon and Donair. Slices are $4 each or $5 with a can of pop. 2 slices is $8 or $9 with a can of pop, so no discount if you buy more. However, they do have a pickup discount, which is the equivalent amount to the taxes you would pay. So essentially if you pick up, they pay the tax :) The Hot Turkey sandwich platter was really good. It came with fries and coleslaw. I liked that the coleslaw was vinegar based and not mayo based. It was mostly cabbage with a bit of carrot. I enjoyed it. The fries were just regular fries but they were crispy and good. The sandwich had real turkey breast meat in it (can you believe that I once ordered a hot turkey sandwich and it was a deli meat turkey sandwich covered in gravy?!? Obviously not at this restaurant, lol). The bread was the regular white sandwich bread, but what really set this sandwich apart was the delicious peppery gravy. Man, that stuff is really good! The pizza was good too. They put toppings under the cheese here, which is not my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The donair was thick pieces and tasted more like sausage, but it was still good. The sauce has a distinct flavour to it, which I can't pinpoint, but I liked it. The crust was crispy and even though the crust was thicker than I usually like, I still enjoyed it. I liked that the slice came in a cute cardboard box. The platter came in an aluminum container, but the lid was styrofoam. I'm not a fan of styrofoam, I would have preferred a foil-backed cardboard lid. Service was friendly and I got my food pretty quickly. The restaurant is a strip of businesses along Carling Ave just west of Churchill Ave N. There's free parking at the back of the strip. There's a sign and you have to turn in before you actually see the strip of businesses (Georgie's, Sapporo Sushi, and a few other businesses). If you turn into the parking lot after the strip, that one actually belongs to a different strip mall (the one with Markie's Smoked Meat and Mr. Sub). There are signs indicating you can only park there if you are going to a business in that strip mall. Not sure what enforcement is like, but why chance it if there's also free parking in the proper place, right? Since there's a huge median along this part of Carling Ave, you can only access the restaurant if you are driving westbound on Carling. Georgie's has its main entrance on Carling but there's also a back entrance from the parking lot.

Simply put...AWESOME PIZZA…read more I have ordered from here a few times and I'm embarrassed to say I neglected to review each time before now, I was typically so hungry I just jumped right in... alas I digress. I have had a few different types of pizzas here, in the end my favourite is the cheese. Yup, straight cheese. Seems basic, but the flavour is outstanding and the dough ball to keep the box from sticking to the cheese is a classically delicious touch. I really like the flavour combinations of the cheese with the sauce puts many other to shame. If you are in this end of the town, give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back for sure.
