If you want a real, thick pizza, with lots of cheese and the old school bread bun in the middle, this place will hit the spot. The pizza was delish! Two slices, and I tapped out. It was filling. I also ordered two garlic sauces on the side, and it reminded me of that yummy garlic sauce that they put on the potatoes at shawarma joints. I can eat spoonfuls of that stuff. The thing that really stood out and made me love this place even more, is that they give you soup with your pizza! On a cold Winters day, it was very much needed. My hubby loves soup so much, so he was so happy when he found it it came with our pizza. The soup that we received was a cross between a lentil, potato and veggie soup. It was flavorful, with hints of cinnamon in it. The toddler gave it two thumbs up! Everything seemed to be made with love. Word on the street is that they grow a lot of their veggies and herbs on site. Kudos to that! This is my new fave spot in our neighborhood. I've had Tangerine Pizza on my list of places to try for a while now, due to all the positive reviews here on Yelp and also other reviewing platforms. Overall, I thought the pizza was good for thick crust very filling pizza, but my personal preference is still thin crust. So it's great for what it is, but it has not converted me into a thick crust pizza lover, lol. The pizza place is in a converted old house and admittedly looks a bit rundown. The restaurant was a bit dingy inside, and the front window had all sorts of plants by it, but not like fancy Instagrammable plants, lol, more like plants I would expect to find in my reclusive spinster great-aunt's house, if I were to have such a relative. It certainly did not look like a conventional restaurant. Nonetheless, the lady who greeted me was very friendly. I asked if they sold pizza by the slice and was advised that they did not. So I proceeded to order a small 3 toppings pizza ($15). I was told that I could pick any 3 toppings on the list for that price, but not the meats as those would cost extra. I originally wanted broccoli, zucchini and mushrooms, but was told that they didn't have any more broccoli, so I ordered green peppers instead of the broccoli. She invited me to sit down and advised me it would take about 15 minutes. They have a few couches and also a big dining room table. I sat at the corner of the dining room table. As I waited several families came in for pickup. They had apparently called in their orders because it was ready for them when they arrived. When my pizza was done, I paid and was told that I could get a free can of pop with my order. I got a Grape Crush. My pizza came with a garlic dipping sauce. The sauce is similar to the garlic sauce one would get at a shawarma place. It was very rich and creamy and had a potent garlic flavour. The pizza was very cheesy and dense. The mushrooms and green peppers were mainly underneath the cheese and the zucchini was on top of the cheese. They were generous with the toppings. The crust was thick. Although even as a thin crust pizza lover, I still enjoyed the thick crust pizza at Tangerine. I don't think I will become a regular, because it's very far from home and I still prefer thin crust pizza. However, if you like thick crust heavy cheesy pizza, Tangerine Pizza may be right up your alley ;) Free parking in the private lot in front of the restaurant. read more

WOW!!!!! At first it looked closed at i wasnt sure. But tge lady was very nice, i ordered the steak sub waited 10 min but OMG it was really worth it. Tomorrow i will come back and order pizza since i am pizza guy i will see what happens. But so far it is top knoch. So i am back for the pizza, and wow again. What make its so special is they make thier own dough, and the chef all my complements ti her. From now on this is my go to place when i am in Ottawa. Oh my... First time ordering there, by phone, we were two guys hungry as ^&*$, we took the 'extra large', which, by the way, is approx 17" in diameter. We were barely able to eat half of it! They don't skimp out on the ingredients. 1 slice had to be over 1 pound, which is good! Next time I'm weighing the whole thing :) Of note, the XL pizza comes with 3 cans of pop, 1 small soup, and 2 little cups of garlic butter. This most recent pizza came with a nice potato side dish. Superb Local Pizzeria! Tangerine is a local mom & pop pizzeria, with an incredible selection at competitive prices. The owners (a couple) are friendly and co-operative. They'll make you almost any kind of pizza within their power, and will bring it right to your door. We live close by, and will typically pick it up ourselves. We have never had a problem with the restaurant. The online ordering service they subscribe to is a little glitchy, so I recommend just calling them to place an order. Found this little gem when I was in town on business. I was a little hesitant when I walked in and it felt like I was walking into someone's house, but the friendly, personal service put me more at ease. Then, while waiting for my pizza, the cook offered me some (free) boiled potatoes-they were great. Then I got my pizza-definitely unique, in a really good way. This is my new go-to pizza joint--mostly because it's nearly outside the door, but also because it's good pizza. The pizza is super tasty, lots of cheese and toppings--if you're looking for a thin and crispy pizza, this is not for you, but if you want a filly pizza with lots of toppings then Tangerine is the place to be! The salads are more expensive than other joints, but I enjoyed them. What's really nice about Tangerine is that when you order a pizza you get other things too. First, you get a can of pop (the number of cans goes up with the size of your pizza). They actually have a pretty good selection too--not just the big three. You can get Dr. Pepper and cream soda and other things. Second, pizza comes with garlic dipping sauce, which is very garlicy and yummy, you may not want to kiss anyone right away, but it's tasty. Also, soup! Yes, pizza comes with soup, how cute is that? I also love that they put a little roll in the middle of the pizza to keep the lid from sticking to the cheese. The owners are super nice and I love that they have plants in all their windows. I've only done call ahead/take-out, but there are some tables in the restaurant and they do delivery. This pizza place is insanely good! The pizza is both overflowing with toppings and incredibly crispy. The restaurant itself is a bit dingy but it doesn't matter as the pizza more than makes up for it. I was up moving my brother into university and the hotel we are staying at is very close to this place. We ordered two medium pizzas and they were amazing. They had a nice thick crust filled with cheese. They in no way skipped out on the toppings. The cheese tastes amazing and almost everything they make they use their vegetables that they grow themselves. We walked in for a pick up and they had a smile on their face the minute we walked in. We had a very nice conversation and felt very welcome. They let you watch them cut the pizza ( because I ordered a veggie pizza he made sure to let us know they always use a freshly cleaned knife so there would be no meat on the cutter). My brother and I left with huge smiles on our faces because of how their attitude spreads they were always happy and that made us happy as well. 5 stars no doubt! This is easily the best pizza place in the Ottawa area. I love their steak pizza, which has a nice thick crust and generous toppings including green peppers and onions. Their Mexican pizza is also amazing if you prefer something a bit spicy. The pizzas do cost more than the typical Pizza Pizza, but the quality of Tangerine becomes immediately apparent when you taste that first bite. The owners are also super friendly and seem to really love what they do. This is definitely on my list of recommended places to eat in Ottawa. read more

Loved the pizza and the staff were great. Definitely going back. My one set-back was pricing confusion. They had recently taken their menu down and their pizza's were sold as combos. I ordered a large pizza, which included 3 pops and 2 dipping sauces which I did not care for. The staff were very accommodating and let me purchase just a large pizza and a dipping sauce for a lesser price. That is the customer service you get from family owned establishments, something I fully support. I hope to see a price for just a pizza without combos in the future.
