FRESHLY MADE AND YUMMY PIZZA! We dropped by Farinella for a quick lunch during last summer, and we LOVE their pizza. There were customers coming in constantly, thus although we only ordered by slices the pizza was still super fresh and hot. That day was supposed to be our "rest day" so we ordered relatively light initially. However, it was so tasty that we "had to" order a second round. There's one thing that's not ideal, that they can only serve beers to customers dining indoor (probably related to the status of their alcohol license at the time?). It was a warm and sunny day, thus it would have been perfect if we could eat outside with a drink in hand. Hopefully, I can eat and drink at their patio next time. But even if that's not the case, I'd still want to visit this place again when I'm in the area next time!

Still love this place. Went in for Suppli and slices. Delicious as always. Assortment of slices for take out daily. Staff are great. One of my favorite things is the wall of stuff. See if you can find Queen Elizabeth. Always a great place for delicious varieties of pizza.

Came here for lunch and gelato after checking out the tulip festival. We tried a slice of their pepperoni pizza, "The King" sandwich and the pistachio/bacia gelato. The pizza was fresh out of the oven so we enjoyed the hot slice which had a fairly crisp and thin crust. I would've liked a more pronounced tomato sauce base since there's a good amount of cheese that calls for some balanced freshness. Slices are weighed like they do in Rome and I think go for $3/100g and a single slice will be around $3.5. The mortadella/whipped ricotta sandwich on focaccia was a good portion but since it wasn't hot, the focaccia felt greasy and heavy. It would benefit from some fresh herbs like basil/pesto or some peppery greens to brighten up the sandwich (we went home and added pesto and crisped up the bread). Their gelato continues to be a lovely creamy texture and very satisfying on a hot day. Definitely come here instead of Stella Luna (which supports far-right white supremacy movements).

We ordered half Margherita, half Tarin-Tino and half Luciano. Please note you now have to order by phone to pick up later that day. They don't seem to be taking any walk-ins at this time. We called at 12pm when the phone lines opened and it was pretty busy. Took about 5-6 tries to get through. We ordered our pizza for pick up in the evening. Payment is taken over the phone. When we got there, the pizza was ready and it was quick to just grab it and go. However, the pizza wasn't really piping hot. Maybe it was done 10 minutes before we had arrived. Overall, I enjoyed the flavours but maybe we should have re-warmed the pizza. And the meter long pizza is quite impressive. Seems to be a great party pizza! Would definitely consider picking up from here again. In terms of price, the pizzas are a bit more pricey but they are definitely more on the fancy side.

I am so glad I finally got the chance to try Farinella's. It has been a bookmark for a while, and the hubs and I finally just went for it after a long day of cleaning and organizing. We called in for an order Sunday evening, payed over the phone, and drove down shortly after for a quick pickup. We went with the classic full meter long margherita pizza ($29.00). I did not find the price bad at all, considering local pizza shops charge around the same now for a large pizza. The pizza was amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. Fresh, crisp, and cheesy. We tried it at room temperature which was great, but also popped each slice in the oven for a minute or two and that took it to a whole 'nother level. WOW! We also purchased their homemade hot honey and chili oil, which took the pizza up another notch. The bottles were on the smaller size at six bucks each, but I think they will go a long way. We have so much left over. The hot honey was a little bit tricky to get out of the bottle and a little more on the grittier side, so I just took the cap off to pour. I may try heating it up in a bowl next for a couple of seconds to see if the texture changes. I really enjoyed this pizza. It was light and I didn't feel heavy and weighed down afterwards. I cannot wait to go back!

YUM! I've been wanting to try this for a while and was just waiting for the perfect weather to enjoy this outside. We had to call in to place the order and actually paid while on the phone as well in order to avoid more contact at the store. Place the order as soon as they open otherwise it'll sell out, you can place them even a few days in advance so def do that to save disappointment. We ended up ordering the meter long(good for 3-4) and chose to get two options. The sotto casa and the Frank Pinello (white pizza). If you're a fan of a crust that's not too thin or thick and has a great crunch this is the pizza for you. There is even instructions on the box if you want to go home and warm it up but we ended up eating it right from the box and it was still great. Both pizza's were delicious in their own way. The Sotto had a great flavour with the roasted mushrooms and whipped ricotta! The Frank Pinello was nice as well, but it's more of a flatbread taste since there's no sauce on this. Personally had there been more caramelized onion and whipped ricotta on this pizza it would've elevated it a lot more. It's a little on the pricey side $40 but if you want to treat yourself to something on the fancier side I would give it a shot They also sell gelato! Didn't get a chance to try this time but summer's here so its only a matter of time

I had been hearing about Farinella for awhile now (Meter long pizzas? Helloooo!), but the delivery fee was pretty steep and it's further away for me than I would regularly go to pick up food, so the only thing I was ever able to try was the hot honey through Burrow Shop's grocery delivery. When I spotted a deal for no delivery fee, I thought it had to be a sign. They sell meter long and half meter long pizzas and you can get two different kinds if you order the meter. The delivery menu is much smaller, but we were sure they'd still be great, so we ordered half pepperoni, half margherita. The pepperoni has raw crushed tomato sauce, Australian mozzarella, and Ontario pepperoni cups, topped with toasted fennel powder and drizzled with olive oil. The Margherita is pretty much the same, except instead of the pepperoni and fennel there was fresh basil. The pepperoni cups were a little crispier and chewier - a nice change in both texture and flavour, and they were generous with the amount they put on. We loved the addition of the toasted fennel. It was subtle, but enough to know it wasn't the regular kind of pepperoni pizza you were used to. The Margherita was very tasty as well, with large basil leaves baked on top rather than added fresh after coming out of the oven. This side got a little messed up during delivery, but it didn't make a difference. The pizza box was so long that it was awkward to bring through my door at the angle I was in, so I had to slide it in on the ground haha. The pizza is thin with an airy, chewy crust and a surprising amount of cheese considering the thickness. It was firmer than I expected and held up, though I'm not sure if that's because it wasn't as hot after being delivered to us and had the chance to cool more. We also ordered chili oil and hot honey, both made in-house and come in small reusable bottles rather than just the little sauce containers you usually get, so definitely worth the extra dollars, in my opinion. The chili oil is infused with a mix of habanero peppers and chili peppers. Red and spicy, it's pretty addictive. The husband loved it. The hot honey is made using Gibb's locally sourced honey and infused with extra hot peppers. It's not as spicy as the chili oil, but does still have a little kick. It would be great with wings, too! My husband got a can of Diet Coke and I got a can of City Seltzer. The menu item didn't say which flavour it was, but the description was for City Citrus. I should have specified the flavour in the notes, anyway, since I ended up getting Berry Whip, which I'm not super fond of. Altogether, it was pricier than what we would normally pay for pizza, sauces, and drinks, but it was worth it!

Small gelato $4.50 - sour cherry and straciatella

Love their gelato and gelato bars. The pizza is also very good. I have been a few times since they opened, and I would definitely recommend them for their gelato. In the summer, they do gelato by the scoop, whether it's in a cup or cone. In the winter, they do gelato bars and mini cones instead, which I also love. I do find the gelato by scoop is a little bit on the pricier side, more expensive than Stella Luna for less gelato. However, the quality is definitely there. The gelato bars are $5.50 each and the mini gelato cones are $1.25 each. Flavours rotate, both the gelato and the coatings. I think they should have some sort of gelato stamp card! I finally got to try their pizza, and I would recommend this as well. Again, it is a bit on the pricier side, but the concept is neat. They have a variety of different pizzas to choose from, some vegetarian and some not. It is all done by weight, with the vegetarian ones costing less per 100g than the meat ones. I like how I can have a small taste of each one if I really wanted to! I had 3 small slices of 3 of their pizzas and my total came to about $7.50 after tax. This was enough for me, as I definitely wanted to make room for dessert. They also generously provide samples if they aren't too busy, which is a huge plus for me. Since the pizzas are already made, they cut and heat up a portion for you once you order. This makes the bottom super crispy. I don't know if they qualify as Neapolitan style, but they are definitely on the thin side, which I love. Toppings are generous and match well together. I liked the Cotto (prosciutto cotto and whipped ricotta), Lucio (fennel sausage), Potato, and Rossa (tomato & garlic sauce) the most. I found Mozzarella to be a bit bland, perhaps it's a different sauce than they use for Rossa? The day we went, they also had fried risotto balls stuffed with cheese. I did see them replenishing the pizza often, so even if they aren't made to order, they are all super fresh and baked again right before you eat. They also do a variety of Italian donut-style desserts. I have had their mini bomboloni, which were cute and tasty! They did buy one get one free for these donuts once, they announce this on their Instagram. It's really casual here, with some seating inside and patio seating in the summer. There is no table service; you order, pay, and pick up your food from the front. Everyone was very friendly and nice. Street parking is available, free after 5:30 pm and on the weekends too, I believe. I will be back for sure, if not for the pizza, definitely for the gelato and gelato bars!

We have been wanting to try this pizza place in a long time.. but apparently needs a lot of planning ahead they open their phone line at 1 pm and u can pick up 4pm and up! No place to sit so we had to take and eat in the car! Super fresh crunchy and yummy! Even the kids said what awesome pizza place this is! Staff very friendly not to forget!

My wife picked up some pies on the way home from work. When I saw the size of the box, i was surprised. It reminded me of pizza we got a number of years ago, which was called a "family pizza". It was HUGE, and took our family of 4 almost a week to finish it. Not that that's a bad thing........ Flavour was nicely balanced, and satisfying as a whole. 2 pieces left me satisfied. As a bonus, they have mastered curbside pickup. Call ahead with your order, payment, and pickup time. Arrive at your time slot. They bring it to you. Done!

Farinella is all the hype and I can confirm that it is worth it. The Tarin-Tino is incredible with the whipped ricotta and be sure to get the hot honey with your pizza...it's an absolute game changer and worth every cent!

Pizza there is incredible, always so much variety to choose from, reminded me when I was back in Italy. The pizza dough is so perfectly crunchy and soft. While the toppings are out of this world; potato on pizza? Who would've thought? Came to the friend and family opening and was not let down. The new concept of you choosing the size of pizza is so refreshing. The pricing for the pizza is really reasonable as well, considering it's completely done that day. The gelato was even more incredible highly recommend the pistachio one! Even any of their fruity gelatos are excellent. Nina is the queen of gelato in my books. Hope you guys thrive in the restaurant business. Cheers

The restaurant is cuter inside than I thought. There are some window seats for people-watching on bank st. There are also some hanging lights by the windows. The pizza crust has the perfect crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside texture. It's so good it doesn't even need any dip. I tried both the nerd pizza and the mushroom pizza. The nerd pizza had pickled onions, black pepper molasses bacon, cheese and chili Basil honey. I loved the tangy pickled onions, with the salty-sweet bacon, and the spicy honey. The combination was just perfection. I could use a little more chili though! The mushroom pizza was a white pizza with portobello mushrooms, parm, and truffle oil. The salty parm and the meaty portebello mushrooms were a good combo, but I didn't really taste any truffle oil. I felt like this pizza was good but missing a little something to take it to the next level. Overall, the food was delicious. The drinks are reasonably priced (beer, local kombucha). However, the service was mediocre. I think they only had one or two servers working the entire area on Friday night.

I got a Hot Turkey sandwich platter $13.75 and a slice of Donair pizza $4. They sell pizzas by the slice, but they are not displayed so you have to ask them what kinds they have. The day I went, if I remember correctly, they had 4 types: Cheese, Pepperoni, Bacon and Donair. Slices are $4 each or $5 with a can of pop. 2 slices is $8 or $9 with a can of pop, so no discount if you buy more. However, they do have a pickup discount, which is the equivalent amount to the taxes you would pay. So essentially if you pick up, they pay the tax :) The Hot Turkey sandwich platter was really good. It came with fries and coleslaw. I liked that the coleslaw was vinegar based and not mayo based. It was mostly cabbage with a bit of carrot. I enjoyed it. The fries were just regular fries but they were crispy and good. The sandwich had real turkey breast meat in it (can you believe that I once ordered a hot turkey sandwich and it was a deli meat turkey sandwich covered in gravy?!? Obviously not at this restaurant, lol). The bread was the regular white sandwich bread, but what really set this sandwich apart was the delicious peppery gravy. Man, that stuff is really good! The pizza was good too. They put toppings under the cheese here, which is not my preference, but I still enjoyed it. The donair was thick pieces and tasted more like sausage, but it was still good. The sauce has a distinct flavour to it, which I can't pinpoint, but I liked it. The crust was crispy and even though the crust was thicker than I usually like, I still enjoyed it. I liked that the slice came in a cute cardboard box. The platter came in an aluminum container, but the lid was styrofoam. I'm not a fan of styrofoam, I would have preferred a foil-backed cardboard lid. Service was friendly and I got my food pretty quickly. The restaurant is a strip of businesses along Carling Ave just west of Churchill Ave N. There's free parking at the back of the strip. There's a sign and you have to turn in before you actually see the strip of businesses (Georgie's, Sapporo Sushi, and a few other businesses). If you turn into the parking lot after the strip, that one actually belongs to a different strip mall (the one with Markie's Smoked Meat and Mr. Sub). There are signs indicating you can only park there if you are going to a business in that strip mall. Not sure what enforcement is like, but why chance it if there's also free parking in the proper place, right? Since there's a huge median along this part of Carling Ave, you can only access the restaurant if you are driving westbound on Carling. Georgie's has its main entrance on Carling but there's also a back entrance from the parking lot.

Simply put...AWESOME PIZZA…read more I have ordered from here a few times and I'm embarrassed to say I neglected to review each time before now, I was typically so hungry I just jumped right in... alas I digress. Seems basic, but the flavour is outstanding and the dough ball to keep the box from sticking to the cheese is a classically delicious touch. I really like the flavour combinations of the cheese with the sauce puts many other to shame. If you are in this end of the town, give this place a shot, you won't be disappointed. I'll be back for sure.
