Probably the best dish we tried . Sardines were super fresh and tasty Parma di ham w melon and la selva antipasti - both pretty good La selva calzone - a calzone stickler like me had to try it out and it was faster and quite big Red house wine and a peril spritz were pretty good All in all it's a pretty popular establishment and expect to stand in line on weekends . Although that was not the best dinner compared to others. It was still very descent

The Margherita pizza is €5 and has the best flavor of any pizza we've had. We also tried the Gnocchi Pesto, a red sauce and meat pasta dish (forgot the name), 4 cheese pizza, and several other items which were good. The tiramisu is exceptional. The other desserts won't blow you away but they're super cheap. We never spent more than €40 for dinner including wine (which was on tap). The service here is incredible and very accommodating. We felt at home every time we came in and we were very sad to leave this place behind as we went home. Overall, a ton of flavor for not a ton of cash. Thank you La Selva

When it comes to pizza, I'm a snob and this place has it all. Here's the KEY--Their speciality is fried pizza. This is very unique! After making their super fresh dough, they lightly fry it. Afterward they sauce and add toppings. Then they quickly bake it in a fire oven. I promise you, it's great. This is a great pizza to share and definitely a novelty. The have a "la super" margherita-- which is a margherita pizza that is 70cm long. This is great is you have a group and it can feed about 4-6, if you get appetizers. We also had: Capri which is pizza with red sauce, basil, beefsteak tomatoes and fresh mozzarella. A traditional margherita- the best in this area. Melagianella- an eggplant dish, with basil and Parmesan. Tasty Fried Food- a mix of fresh, fried vegetables. Caponata napoletana- delicious! We got this without meat. Similar to bruschetta, just much better. Service was excellent. We enjoyed this place so much, we went twice. They do take reservations and do have outdoor and indoor seating. Please see my photos and check this place out. You won't regret it because I don't!

We did manage to throttle back and not eat all of it lol, as we wanted to still enjoy our starter and pizza. The oils provided were the perfect compliment for the bread, the salad (and the crust of the pizza). Salad was fresh and light. Pizza rolled out next and we still believe this to be the best pizza we ever had. Not heavy, but filling. The flavors were so rich and bright. Of course I had to have a local beer which paired well. The seating was outside, which was covered in an ivy like feel. It was lemon trees providing adequate sun coverage and of course looked beautiful. We would highly recommend checking out Donna Stella if you're in Amalfi.

It is kind of hidden away and looks almost like you are entering someone's property. There was a wait but they seemed to remember faces and I did get seated after about 30 minutes, though they did seem pretty busy for a Sunday night. I ordered the lemon ravioli since I had been eating a lot of pizza and read that people enjoyed it. In my opinion, the lemon ravioli didn't have as much flavor as I would have liked, it seemed a little bland and didn't really taste like there was much lemon flavor and the quantity was a little small. Cooked well though. I think I would come back again but order the pizza instead. They did have a longer wait if you didn't make a reservation. Their lemon tiramisu (8€) was definitely worth it. Very creamy and not too sweet and had more of that lemon flavor that I was looking for. I wish I had come in a group, so they I could have tried more things, but no worries that can be next time.

BEWARE! We were staying locally and wanted to spend our last night away from the crowds of Amalfi…read more This place was nearby and had good reviews, so we went. The man who sat us was also our waiter. He was very personable and asked where we were from. It turned out that his friend owns a restaurant very close to where we are at home. Small world. He keeps chatting with us and eventually moves over to our 19-year-old daughter. He tells her that she has pretty eyes and asks how old she is. Once she tells him, he asks her if he can friend request her on Facebook. He looked to be in his early 20s, so we thought it was harmless. Turns out that he is 31 YEARS OLD. We ate dinner and got ready to leave. We started to leave, use the bathroom, walk to the car, etc. When my husband and I are out of the building, he pulls my daughter towards him and moves in for the "Italian" double kiss. When she reacts, confused at why this grown man is trying to kiss her, he moves in for a real kiss (with his tongue). Again, he is 31 years old- she is 18. We head into town for gelato, and when we get out of the car she pulls me aside and tells me what just happened. I am BEYOND livid. My husband and I get back into the car (my daughter was too ashamed to go back) and we head directly back to the restaurant. I scream at him that he's a disgusting pervert, and I tell the older man who is standing by wondering why an American woman is ready to rip this pig apart what he did. He said he was sorry and that he was "playing". Couldn't tell you anything about the food because I felt so sick by then. Stay away.
