Margarita pizza and calamari a la grilla
    Luis M.

Avoided the ridiculous hotel laundering prices and instead walked next door to this restaurant to do laundry. Decided to get a bite while I waited and boy was I in for a sensationally cooked meal. The grilled calamari had a distinct slight smoky char mixed with lemon taste unbridled by any of the heavily breaded so called calamari I've ever eaten back in the states. The margarita pizza,, truly a blessing disguised as a typically pedestrian uninspiring order, boasted the organic flavors of its fresh ingredients cooked to perfection in their wood oven. Perhaps it's my Las Vegas Strip prejudices, but don't be fooled by the inelegant atmosphere or intimidated the noisy street next to the restaurant but even these potential criticisms are squelched by noting that the city street is lined with unexpected' orange trees!

    Great Pizza!!!

What a wonderful dining experience. The Marg pizza was fantastic and the pesto ravioli was to die for. It had a lemon taste the developed about 3 seconds after taking a bite. I mean Wow! This by far was the best restaurants in Sorrento for me... I can't wait for my return to Sorrento!

    cavatelli spada e scarmoza
    Luran Y.

After four hours in transit, my friends and I stopped by another restaurant for dinner. When they turned us away we came to La Fenice, who kindly let us dine even though they were about to close. Fate was surely on our side that night. Not only was the food cheaper, it was delicious!! Two of us got the cavatelli with swordfish and scarmoza. The portion was big but it was so good that we both finished it. The melted cheese and occasional bit of swordfish were a perfect pair.

    Pomodoro pasta and bolognese!

Amazing pasta...best we've had in Sorrento (and we've had a lot). Not touristy and the food had FLAVOR, something we've missed in a lot of food in Sorrento. Service was kind and the atmosphere gave local, family, and casual. We'll be returning for a second night. We had the Bolognese and the Pomodoro pasta. Would recommend!

Wow!!! The gluten free pizza is insane. Gnocchi incredible. Really good service. Friendly.

    Fruitti di Mare

This was the first Italian seafood restaurant we hit in sorrento. Portions were on the moderate. Very fresh seafood. We ordered: Fruitti di Mare: pasta with clams and mussels. Didn't blow me away like I expected. Mussels w/garlic: a nice appetizer. Simple and a nice amount of mussels. King prawns: I think my wife expected something different. It was just four big prawns in a red sauce. I think she was hoping for pasta to be served with it. Service was good like all the restaurants in Italy. A little pricey and not great bang for your (euro) buck. But decent food nonetheless.

Loved this place. The staff were the nicest I experienced in Italy. The spaghetti carbonara was perfectly spiced and the lasagna was delicate, rich and light all at the same time (I know that doesn't make sense but you have to try it to understand). I'll definitely go back next time I'm in Sorrento!

    That lasagna was sooooooo gooooood!!!!!!

We hired a driver to take us down the coast and when we asked for a good restaurant he suggested this place- and he was right!!! The lasagna was sooooo goooood! It was thick with meat and lots of cheese and just so good! The fish was hand trimmed for you at the table and was delicious in the sauce! The wine came with peaches in it- what a nice treat since I love peaches and used this as my dessert! The only bad thing is it was located near a hospital so there was a lot of sirens going by... so I do not recommend this place for a romantic evening but if your hungry you should stop in!!!

Eh. For a restaurant in a tourist town, it's fine (I give the overall experience 3 stars). I give the gnocchi with salmon 2 stars. Hard to find good places to eat in this fisherman town gone tourist...

She said her steak was disappointing. It was "dry and stringy". But for those of us who ordered fish as our main courses, it was perfection. Maybe seafood is their strength. Absolutely LOVED the Medallion of mozzarella in carrozza on tomato coulis and black olive sand. I could have made an entire meal out of that. We then had the pasta linguine with "scapece" zucchini and burrata cheese from Monti Lattari. Highly recommend. Came out beautifully. I was too impatient to eat it that I forgot to take a pic first. It was beautifully plated though. I had the Wood-smoked red snapper fillet. It had a semolina, lemon and saffron crust, and rested upon roasted potato and basil cream. Delicious. Perfectly cooked. I took a bite of the Sea bass fillet with orange sauce and capers. The oranges are grown in the Sorrento garden. I liked the sea bass even more than my own. I've been to Sorrento 4x now and this was easily my favorite meal I've ever had here.

The fried octopus appetizer was very good My wife's sea bass and my seared tuna were excellent The staff here were friendly and really appreciated their recommendations on wine. They have a good Italian wine list and knowledge of the wine. Highly recommend 86Bistro.

Such a yummy meal oh my. I ordered the Pasta di Gragnano and it was a lobster pasta that was…read moreslightly creamy and oh so flavorful, probably the most flavorful lobster dish I've ever had. The chef's starter was not my favorite, very mushy textures for the burrata esque one and the octopus one, but the potato one was fine. The bread basket with an assortment of breads is delicious. The Giglio pasta with salmon comes moving which is cool, but it was also very unique and good. The catch of the day was solid. The gnocco was great, but also my vegetarian family got the dish modified so who knows what it was supposed to taste like actually lol. The tiramisu was very different but good and the tiramisu espresso martini was out of this world tbh

Lobster- 8.5/10. Well cooked but sauces and sides were pretty flavorless…read more Beef tacos- 5/10. Not really sure why this is on the menu at all. Dish was under seasoned and both the beef filling and tortillas didn't taste that great Broccoli and eel risotto- 6/10. Couldn't taste much flavor from broccoli, eel pieces were tiny, and risotto was undercooked at the top. At the bottom it was better and I'm guessing it's because as the dish cooled, the bottom kept cooking longer. It wasn't served to me hot either. I didn't even end up finishing it. Tagliolini- 8/10. Good flavor, but nothing special. We had better pasta elsewhere that was also much cheaper. Seabass- 8.5/10. At least the cook on the seabass was good. but again nothing special Beef cheeks- 8.5/10. Same- solid but nothing I'd write home about. Overall, this has been the least impressive Michelin starred meal I've experienced in a while. The lack of flavor and unevenly and undercooked risotto was really disappointing. And the prices are way higher than what the meal is worth. Would recommend skipping this spot.
