This was our nice dinner out on our weekend trip to Boston, and I'm happy we chose Ristorante Euno. First off, you can tell as soon as you walk in from the look on the worker's faces the sense of pride they have in this restaurant. It's truly a beautiful space, with both a street level dining area and a basement dining area reminiscent of a classy wine cellar. We were seated on the main floor. The brick accents all around make for a very nice atmosphere, and the large front windows open up the space. To start, we ordered the Carciofo Euno because we're suckers for artichokes. This was a grilled artichoke, stuffed with goat cheese, and wrapped in prosciutto. The flavors came together to create a truly special dish that we both very much enjoyed. Even the bread was good to start. For mains, I got the Rigatoni Fatti in Casa, and my fiance got the Pollo ai Quattro Formaggi - a four cheese chicken parmesan. In short, both were fantastic and that's all you really need to read. My pasta was cooked right, not overdone, and the flavor was just right. I love a good pasta, and this hit the spot. The Pollo ai Quattro Formaggi was a HUGE portion and was possibly the best tasting chicken parm I've ever had. Overall, a great meal and one that we'll remember. read more

Guys I hate to give this place a bad review, because I REALLY wanted to love it... the atmosphere and the reviews were so promising, but they just fell short on almost everything - in the end, the restaurant was significantly overpriced and way under-delivered :( ATMOSPHERE - Charming in a way that only a small, North End, turn of the century building can be. The place USED to be a butcher shop a hundred years back, and you can still see the remnants of that in the basement dining room in particular. I disliked the kitschy music (the same "wanna be Italian" tracks from Sinatra, Joel, etc - music that I love any other place but an Italian restaurant because it says you're trying too hard)... SERVICE - Our server was an older gentlemen, possibly the owner, and he was charming. He had a number of recommendations, both wine and food, and we thought he was great - by far the best part about the evening... he ran up and down the stairs to serve us and another large table like a young boy, hats off to you sir! FOOD - Absolute fail... other reviews called the bolognese the best in Boston. We had 10 in our party, and 8 ordered the bolognese because of that! All 8 came out cold, flavorless meat sauce. The pasta was okay, but overcooked, and in all a true disappointment. Bucking the tradition, I went with a halibut and risotto dish... as bad as the bolognese was I wish I'd had that instead. My fish was also cold, incredibly dry, and the risotto looked like it had sat out for a week before serving (it was also dry, almost crispy?). Hard pass on coming back for any of the entrees that were served to us. As a testament, although the portions were small, none of the plates on the table were empty. VALUE - Also a fail. Entrees priced at $28 - $35 per plate should be perfect, hot, tasty, and fresh. Ours were none of these. Our party of 10 with appetizers, meals, and wine was well over $450 before tip, and no one was full or happy. If you're looking for a fantastic meal for your dollar, I'd stop elsewhere. read more

Wound up here while in town for a conference and it was hands down our favorite place we had dinner at in Boston! Someone walking down the street overheard our group contemplating a dinner place and offered us the recommendation. First of all, the oil and vinegar concoction they serve with the bread is amazing. We split 3 apps, the meatballs, the stuffed artichoke, and the caprese salad. For entrees, we had the halibut and risotto, the steak which was HUGE, and the chicken parm which easily could have fed three people!! There food was delicious. The wine was delicious. And the service was great!! Our waiter was so attentive, answered all of our questions, and let us sit and chat as long as we wanted. Would definitely recommend to anyone!! On weekends you'd need a reservation but on a Monday we would have been able to walk on it. read more

Came here with my gf for our anniversary. Wine was decent and not too pricey, but both our entrees (mushroom gnocchi and chicken parm) were kind of forgettable. My fault for getting the chicken parm, obviously - I thought it was just chicken, didn't see the breading - but the mushroom gnocchi was pretty bland for seemingly hand-made gnocchi. Loved Euno. The owners are fantastic. The food (veal, lobster ravioli, white fish, tiramisu) were absolutely great. I ordered an extra tiramisu to take home and they gave it to me for free. Their wine list is not exotic, but they have 70% of their wines by the glass. The owner said that he opens fresh bottles every day. Euno is a bit of a sleeper in the highly touristy and competitive North End restaurant landscape. Richard was splendid and the food was spot on. I had a Swordfish Special on risotto, lemon beurre bland sauce with octopus, shrimp, mussels and clams. Dish was exceptional especially the swordfish which was delicate with a nice char that went well with the beurre blanc. The risotto was perfect a tad al dente. My beautiful wife had the wild mushroom fig ravioli special in a creamy sage butteresque sauce. Perfectly Cooked. Slightly sweet with a wonderful blend of wild mushrooms. Had the special meatball appetizer, a family recipe with a beautiful bright marinara sauce that seemed freshly done. Meatballs were a mix of beef pork and veal finely ground with a nice mix of herbs. The room is intimate and reminds me of a family run in a small Italian town like Barga or Garafagna Euno will deliver a very good and very Italian meal for those looking for something a little lesser known in the North End read more

We had an excellent birthday dinner. We had the specials for the evening (meatball app, lobster ravioli, lobster fra diavolo, creme brulee) and it was all fresh, delicious, and perfectly portioned. The service was fantastic. We had Richard as our server. The owner came around to ensure everything was ok, not in an intrusive way at all, and was very nice. We had an extra limoncello as a nice birthday gesture on the house. Ambiance was what felt like a classic, old school Bostonian feel. Music was at a decent level, crowd noise was not overbearing, especially considering that it was a full room. Absolutely recommend for a nice evening that isn't "stuffy" but still a great experience. First, the appetizers: Calamari: nicely battered. The meat was tender (a sign of high quality) and matched well with the marinara sauce. Prosciutto-wrapped Artichoke stuffed with goat cheese: goat cheese stuffed with artichoke? Really? It was awesome. If you love goat cheese like I do, get this appetizer. Add the taste of the cooked prosciutto to this combo, and it's a major winner for an appetizer. Mussels cooked in a broth with tomatoes: this wasn't on the menu, but we told the server that we were in the mood for a mussels appetizer. He gladly told us that they could make us one (awesome service). The mussels were larger than what I usually have and tasted fantastic, with a sweet side to the natural flavor of the mussels. Now, the entrees: Veal Porterhouse with Asparagus and pan fried Potatoes on the side: The Veal Porterhouse was served standing vertical, immediately impressing me with the presentation. The mouth watering meat was exactly that, mouth watering, with its tenderness putting joy into my teeth. I enjoyed every bite. Flavor was perfect. The potatoes were crispy on one side of each piece, complementing the veal. White Fish with Risotto: I only had a taste, since this was my wife's dish. The fish was tender and buttery. It was either butter or olive oil. Either way, they cooked it the right way. I will get this entree the next time I eat here. Service was excellent all the way through. Enough said. Where to start....we were there on 8/28/15, Friday. My husband and I were out for a honeymoon do-over in Boston for a couple nights. I have to say I am a picky eater and don't like a lot of things. The food that was brought to us was nothing short of AMAZING. Everything we had was so, delicious..... if you have ever been so full, but you want to continue eating, because the food is so good, then you need to eat here! We started with a couple appetizers and I have to say the portions were a perfect size for two people. The first appetizer was Caprese salad. This was great. I am glad they didn't over power it with basil, we could add it as we wanted because they provided us with one huge leaf. It was very pretty thick pieces of the tomato and the mozzarella with the balsamic glaze and another type of sauce which was also very tasty. The second appetizer was the Carciofo Euno Grilled artichoke stuffed with goat cheese and wrapped in prosciutto (had to check the site for exact description). I have to say I am NOT a fan of artichoke AT ALL or goat cheese or prosciutto. My husband just asked me to try it and OMG it was a totally wonderful mouth experience. All the flavors together were nothing I was expecting. It was a salty and creamy treat. There were two of these, one for each of us. I was sad when I finished mine and there were none left. I was really excited to see what was for dinner. My husband ordered the the Lobster ravioli special. This was pretty much a whole lobster AND lobster ravioli. The presentation of this was absolutely beautiful and I am not a fan of lobster but looked very nice. He loved this dish and said "OMG this is melting in my mouth it is so good". The lobster was so easy to get out of the shells he didn't need the utensils (the lobster kit that they provided). I had the chicken parm which was called Pollo ai Quattro Formaggi Chicken Parmigiano baked with tomato sauce, Fontella, Mozaarella, Parmesan and Romano cheeses. This was Wonderful... there was so much cheese on it and a perfect amount of pasta and a huge piece of chicken that was cooked perfectly. It has been YEARS since I had a chicken parm this good, it was truly a pleasant and tasty experience. I was very sad, to not have been able to finish it, but the portion size was to big.... I am very excited about my left overs and hope the hotel doesn't lose them because we do not have a fridge in our room) When it came to dessert, we asked the Chef "Vin" to pick something for us. Everything else was so AMAZING and tasty we had complete faith he would send us something wonderful to try. It was like he knew us completely. When the dessert arrived it was literally ON FIRE!!!! He had prepared Creme Brulee and Tiramisu. This was so great....I don't eat Tiramisu but my husband does and he I love Creme Brulee so we each had our own perfect dessert. OHHH I almost forgot. I am not a big drinker.... I like my fruity strawberry daiquiris. However they only have beer and wine and where I don't drink either.... but it was a special dinner for my husband and me, I didn't want to be rude. I asked for something sweet. Hoping I could sip on it all the way through dinner and only leave a little in my glass. I was pleasantly surprised to say I have finally found a wine I can drink. My husband and I have looked for years and never found one and I am happy to say now he can finally buy me a bottle of wine. It was the Ca' Bianca Moscato d'Asti. I had my first ever 2 glasses of wine with dinner. It was so pleasant to drink and I didn't get a headache or anything after it was very nice. We went on a Friday night I highly recommend getting there about 5 before the crowd hits if you can and if not they do take reservations. Ours were for 6:30 but got there around 5 and they took us in without a problem at all. . This was truly a wonderful relaxing experience and we are looking forward to our next time in Boston. EUNO in the North End is one of my favorite restaurants in Boston. Located on Salem Street. If you like artichokes you are in for a special treat. The best artichokes you will ever taste. Besides that all the specials are incredible. First time I tried monk fish and to my surprise I loved it. Next time I went to EUNO I ordered my artichoke and was in food heaven. Tried the special of the day. HALIBUT was delicious. First time trying that fish. Loved it. Although I was stuffed with happy I could not resist the dessert menu. Bon appetite. I came here with my family a couple days after Thanksgiving to enjoy something other than turkey leftovers for dinner, and I am SO glad that we chose to come to Ristorante Euno! The atmosphere and decorations were gorgeous; we sat upstairs and were treated to a wonderful view of the open kitchen, as well as the amazing vaulted brick ceilings. The service was also wonderful, our waiter was patient, knowledgeable and attentive. I also really appreciated that they had a curtain surrounding the doorway, so that as new customers walked in the icy Boston wind didn't blow through the entire restaurant. I also noticed that guests who had to wait for their tables were given glasses of champagne while they waited! Almost makes you wish you didn't have a reservation :) The food itself was also wonderful. The pasta was homemade, and the dishes we had were incredibly tasty. Between the five of us we sampled pasta, risotto, gnocchi, veal, lamb, seafood, and the caprese salad, and all of it was to die for. I particularly loved their pesto-infused olive oil, which was served decoratively with balsamic vinaigrette on many of the dishes. The wine list was extensive and the two that we tried were also quite wonderful. It is an expensive meal, but not outrageous for the North End and not disproportionate to the quality of the food. Euno was a fun stop for dinner in the North End. My sister and I wanted to treat our dad to an early Father's Day dinner and Euno didn't disappoint. We made reservations (thankfully, because they were already turning people away at 6pm for the rest of the night) and were seated right away. The place itself is very small - typical of the North End - but the décor was rustic and made you feel like this place could have been down some backroad in Italy. Our server was phenomenal initially, very friendly and had the most authentic Italian wine pour I've ever seen in a restaurant (very generous!), but once a larger party came in we were forgotten about (just before we got our entrees). We had to flag him down a couple times for more water and to order dessert; he was even so rushed that we didn't get a dessert menu - he just recited the options to us. Other than that, everything we ate there was delicious - the bread to start was yummy, the buffalo mozzarella salad was also very good. I got the gnocchi for dinner and it didn't disappoint either. Both my dad and sister enjoyed their entrees as well. For dessert we had the crème brulee (came out still flaming!) and tiramisu, and both were on par with the rest of our meal. Overall, I really did enjoy the experience at Euno. My dad had a good celebration and that was the point of the evening. Had the service been more attentive this would have easily been a 5 star review; I'll probably stop by again, but maybe after trying a few more places in the area first. read more

It had been over 6 years since we last dined at Euno and I was hoping our scheduled visit would live up to the memories of past meals. Our recent visit exceeded the memories of the quality of dishes and had us wishing we could return soon. If at all possible try to sit in the basement of the restaurant because the fireplace, arched brick ceilings and décor add a level of coziness to the dining experience. The service is very attentive and includes a true interest in making your visit as great as possible. Plus the sense of humor is also greatly appreciated. While they have a regular menu, the variety of nightly specials is what caught my taste-buds. We started the meal off with fresh bread and a seasoned olive oil followed the chef's pasta tasting, which consisted of half portions of two pastas. Tonight's tasting included a rigatoni in a red sauce and gnocchi in a white truffle and gorgonzola sauce. While both were good, I am still thinking about the gnocchi, because it was the best I've ever eaten! For a main course I had the double cut bone in pork chop served with a reduction sauce, grilled vegetables and polenta. The chop was huge and cooked perfectly. My wife had the quarto cheese chicken cutlet (Chicken parm), which filled the plate and was delicious. Along with the bottle of vino recommended by our server our experience was wonderful! Forget the lines at the "touristy" places in the North End and eat at Euno, you will not be disappointed. read more

We waited an hour for our food, but that wasn't the issue. We had a bottle of good wine and drank it while waiting. The issue came when the owner came to apologize by telling us that he was short staffed because people are lazy, don't want to work and only want handouts. We paid $60 for a $30 bottle of wine, retail. Maybe you can pay more and get rid of the attitude and you won't have staffing issues? Entrees are around $40 but are fairly generous. Euno provides the homey, traditional feel of a true Italian restaurant (note that I'm from the Bronx where Italian restaurants are huge). From the decor to the staff, we both truly enjoyed the atmosphere. They also seem to be open later than some other places in the area as they happily agreed to seat us at 10 PM. What we loved? The menu features dishes that are in the more traditional Italian style, which can be hard to find. It had things like puttanesca, bolognese made w/ veal osso bucco, etc. We ordered gnocchi in a Gorgonzola sauce and it was incredibly light for such a rich dish. The service is also adequately attentive. Prices are fair. What could've been better? NO BREAD. How can you enjoy a saucy Italian pasta dish with no bread? That was a major bummer. Upon arriving, we also oddly got questioned by who I'm assuming is the owner and/or manager about the contents of a brown paper bag I was holding (it just had some leftover pastry in it). Euno is right up there with the North End's best dining options. What sets Euno apart from some of your other options is the atmosphere which is tiny/intimate. The menu also has a seafood tilt which really is the way a Boston restaurant can shine. To the review... The Good: The grilled artichoke appetizer was the standout. The artichoke was nice and soft and the stuffing was savory. I also was impressed with their overall seafood options on the menu, it was hard choosing one. The Room-to-Improve: The service was a little off at first. We went during the busiest time of the night, and the waiter informed us they had two large parties downstairs, but they seemed to be a bit under staffed. They also didn't have enough menus initially for all four of our party. Later in the night the service picked up. Euno was a great time. They have classic Italian food that lives up to the neighborhood's standards. Is it my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood? No. Would I go there again? Certainly. read more

All five of us were really impressed with our meals. Considering we all ordered different things, it seems like it's hard to go wrong here. I will say that the shrimp appetizer was perfectly seasoned and that the clams in the linguine were quite generous (see photo attached). Our server Richard was personable and kind. nice atmosphere - exposed brick and candle lit like most north end spots. server was very familiar with the specials (which I had him repeat so I could order the veal chop). Meatballs were tasty and with plenty of sauce, clearly not frozen, but my mothas and my own are better. calamari had a nice light fry, not brown and oily like they often come out - sauce had a chili pepper shell in there which conned us into thinking it would be spicier than the one served with its meatball counterpart, but it was not ! the papardelle with prosciutto was solid - pasta seemed homemade, but the dish lacked pizazz and the prosciutto could have (and should have) come crispy or incorporated into the dish prior to serving, made for a difficult one fork bite ! the veal chop was cooked well and not tough, but lacked seasoning (or at least enough sauce. the brunello reduction was tasty but I could have done with 3x as much) - the truffle broccoli rob + potatoes were a good pair. no bad takeaways from the tiramisu, and the crème was super creamy and not gelatinous like you often get, and while the flaming presentation was exciting, the lack of a crispy top was not lol ! (likely due to a lack of cooling time, and we DID hold off from eating it for a while just to see if it would firm up hahaha). oh yeah, and the wine list / other prices were very reasonable for the north end. read more

The food was delicious but I don't know if I'll go back. Our waiter rushed us through our meal (which was our anniversary dinner that we had made a reservation for..) We tried to order appetizers first because we hadn't decided on entrees yet and he told us he needed to put our whole order in right away because they had an "event" later. If you have an event why'd you let us make a reservation? We were watched the entire meal because they wanted to clear the plates the second we were done.
