Excellent food and friendly service, cozy atmosphere, and not too busy. I ordered the chicken parm and my partner ordered the veal parm- no skimping on sauce or portion size. Noticed other negative reviews but thankfully our experience was quite pleasant. Was advised that the drinks would be more expensive than other Italian places in the area so pre-gamed a little, so inebriated on arrival, but a lovely time all around. Very cute and cozy place, so I'm from out of town and this is where my local friend took me to one of his favorites the staff is very friendly and very attentive. I love that they serve the oil and balsamic with the bread in the bread was sliced nice and thin and I like that. We both got the penne a la vodka I got mine without protein he got his with grilled chicken it was very delicious a nice size portion and the half salad that it came with was great as well, I'd recommend the house Italian dressing. read more

Update: We took out leftovers home and bought some vodka sauce to add to the penne to eat the next day. That did the trick so it was cooked through more. The leftover chicken Parm was very tasty, although I like a more red sauce but everyone has their own preference. First experience here because we drive by it a lot so have been wanting to check it out. The service was very good. The server was very attentive and short wait for the food. The ambiance is great; nice low lighting; attractive decor. The pasta (spaghetti and penne vodka) was undercooked so not enjoyable to eat. The sauce on the chicken parmesan was watery and not a red sauce like we're used to at other Italian restaurants. It was more pinkish color. The bread was delicious and same goes for the balsamic vinegar to dip it in. We didn't say anything about the pasta, but probably should have. read more

What a disappointment, perhaps it was just an off night? I honestly have nothing positive to say about our experience. The service was average at best and the food was below average. Service-- I ordered manicotti and the waitress asked me how to spell it so she could write it down (yes it's on the menu). Also, not one dirty dish was removed until the end of the meal (empty wine glass, bread plates and salad plates), they just piled up at the end of the table. The waitress asked us if we wanted dessert before we even finished our entrees and when we said no thank you she brought the check before we were done eating. Food--not good at all. As I said I had manicotti and it was dry with no flavor. I ordered a side of meatballs and was given one small meatball (for $5). My salad had one small slice of cucumber and 2 small slices of tomato. My girlfriend's salad had lettuce only. She had the meatball Parmesan and it was ok. However her side of pasta was so under cooked it was not edible. When we asked for it to be replaced it took over 10 minutes. Giving a poor review is not something I normally do, but this was such a poor experience I felt the need. read more

We came here for dinner around 6:30 PM. The place wasn't too busy, but we noticed that they are preparing a lot of take-out orders. It's a very small place with maybe 20 tables. We ordered wine, and that came within about 5 minutes. We also ordered an appetizer, thank goodness, because we had to wait an hour and a half for our dinner. The food was very good, but we waited too long. It seemed that they cared more about the take outs rather than the people inside that are waiting for food. I wouldn't come here again. read more

I actually really love this place. The ambiance is great, staff is kind and the menu is comforting. We've been 3 times in the last few months. Bolognese, lasagna, gnocchi were all good choices. Downside is the time it takes to receive meal but everything comes out piping hot with cheese. Bread at table helps out too. Sauce is delicious, this place is ALWAYS packed. Wow wow wow! What a wonderful meal we had here tonight. We were going to another popular Italian restaurant but it was mobbed so on the recommendation of a neighbor we tried this place. What a wonderful surprise! It started with the home made bread, to die for! We ordered a small pie to try a slice as an appetizer and it was delicious. For our main course we had chicken parmigiana with salad and pasta. We both were served huge portions and everything was fresh and delicious! Then I had to try the cannolis and all I can say is fogettaboutit! Lastly the service was as wonderful as the food. All waiters and waitresses were attentive and on top of everything and everyone. I arrived 45 minutes later and my order was not ready. 8 of the 10 tables were occupied and of the 8 tables 6 of them had their meals. As of this review have been waiting for 5 minutes at the bar ! Tried this place for dinner and got there around 4:45, and waited about 25 minutes for a table. It's a small place, so understandable. We waited forever for everything after that - our dinner took over 2 hours for 2 meals, one which was sent back because the chicken parm tasted like pure oil. The service was by far the worst in the area - never got refills on drinks, other customer's empty beer was left on our table for the entire meal because the wait staff set it down to debate if we had ordered the correct salad dressing vs what her memory said, and everyone in the restaurant was waiting 30+ minutes for checks and take out containers. At the end of the meal we finally saw our waitress stop by for the first time since she gave us food and I asked for my meal and the chicken to come off the bill. She came back and let me know they still had to charge me for side salad and pasta, so I paid 2/3 of my meal tab. I think most places apologize and take off the whole meal, but I wasn't exactly shocked given how the rest of the night went. We waited another 15-20 minutes because the only one in the place who can ring out the final bill is the bar staff, who were backed up taking drink orders and handling takeout. I sincerely hope this was a one time thing, because I've heard such good things about the food - but the service is super slow and staff barely paid attention to us. I hope they can get some additional staff and figure out their billing system, as everyone in the place was clearly frustrated. read more

Staff is awesome food is great bread is to die for. I highly recommend stopping here. The only thing that was upsetting to me was the price of their cocktails. I got espresso martinis. I'm usually not one to complain about the price of items however it was a little outrageous. They were priced at $13.50 per martini. I don't think I would've been as mad had they been using top shelf vodka but they were using well vodka.... I just think that's a bit much maybe something to look into and adjust, we are in upstate New York not the city. The food was excellent and all the orders accurate and timely despite it being a busy evening. The server was not the friendliest: we were made to feel badly about menu questions and special requests. Also servers should know what each menu item is in Italian since they are listed that way on the menu, and some people will try to order their dish in Italian as it appears on the menu. One member of our party tried to do so and was given a negative reaction when the server did not understand what the person was ordering. It really made me feel as if our server was unapproachable after those experiences, I felt uncomfortable to ask any further questions or request anything further during our dinner. While the server became more friendly later in the meal, I still felt uncomfortable. I have heard that the pizza is excellent here. I might try ordering take-out pizza/other menu items but I would be hesitant to go back and have another subpar customer service experience. read more

It's a Binghamton 5... plenty of food with left overs. Quality ingredients with a unique preparation. Garlic cooked to perfection, eggplant parmigiana absolutely perfect. Arrived at 6 pm and the 4 of us were seated promptly. Waitress took our drink order and when she served them she took our food order around 6:20ish. Salads and bread came out around 6:30. At this point the restaurant was not busy. At 7:30....1 hour, 2 drinks and 2 bread servings later our order came out. 3 out of our 4 meals were horrible!!!! The shrimp scampi was good. The $25, 12 oz Ribeye was very stringy and chewy, lots of gristle. It was a strip steak not a ribeye. When I told the waitress why I only ate 1/4 of my steak...she uncaringly said...I will tell the cook! The $25 Linguini Fa Diablo was barely edible! Little pasta and a bunch of overcooked seafood!! The Risotto had a strange piece of something that was so hard to chew, it couldn't even be cut with a knife. We asked for our check, no one in management approached us!!! Nothing was said about the horrible service or horrible meal!! We will never return to this place again !! read more

Finally after 50 min our appetizer was brought out. After an hour and ten minutes of waiting and still no food, we had to leave to pick up a friend. Asked for our food to go if it was available. Food to go was brought out to go after an hour and twenty minutes. Paid $9 to have shrimp added to my salad and when I got home, there were four shrimp. Never again will we go here. Since the restaurant is small, service was spot on. The drink menu had some great choices. The ofelia drink was yummmmy. My wife praised their Tiramisu as 'this is how it should taste. Like it was from Ferraras in little Italy'. My cannoli was rich, creamy and fresh filled. Prices are reasonable. Most entrees are under $16 which include soup or salad and pasta. Overall I was very happy when I left with a belly full of yummy food and a small take home box to boot. I'd certainly recommend this place. Wow! I went here with my family just a couple of months ago and this place was running like a top! Just tonight came with family and one celebrating a birthday. Seated at table by 5:30 and NEVER served after placing our orders. By 8:00 we raised concern, by 8:15 the owner came to our table and confronted me. Staggered because I never expected this. They were clear on their message that they were short staffed and we accepted when informed that our dinners would take 45 min due to the backlog. In my experience dining in professionally run establishments, the flow of patrons is controlled relative to the level of staff to support the volume of orders. Our server was the buffer, trying to control a difficult situation, bringing out bread three times. My 84 year old mother was with us to celebrate and this so called "owner" came out and asked me to step outside. My family as my witness all agreed we should leave as we didn't trust this person handling our food. Something has changed here folks, could be new ownership. The salads were not the same, scant on ingredients such as tomatoes and cucumber and we had no way of knowing how the food was, since it never made it to our table after two hours. How embarrassing. The sisters who manage this operation clearly demonstrated a lack of leadership and empathy as all they could do was to defend their position. It's a different time folks, and this place has set the bar...the place was a disaster tonight and I am so sad it has come to this. I started loving this place, the family that ran it, and now to come to this situation is very perplexing. You be the judge. read more

I cannot state how much I love the food from this restaurant. Every time just impeccable. Was disappointed that the side salad no longer comes with delivery or take out orders but still can't rave enough, chicken park with the side of pasta (paid extra for alfredo sauce but completely worth it, best I've had thus far) was so filling it covered a full stomach and left overs. My partner got the gnocchi, which I personally never a fan of the dish or would ever order but I tasted it and it was good not enough to change my mind on the dish. Fresh bread is always good to! If you do delivery service I suggest not accepting any orders from here. I've been here 4 different times and every time I wait at least half an hour past the pickup times. They tell me every 5 minutes it'll be 10 more minutes. And the extremely large woman that works the bar will hit the "order is ready" button when the stated pickup time comes around. My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere and the amazing food. It was top notch, fresh ingredients. Our waitress was spot on. Friendly and attentive. Our only complaint is that they charge per fountain drink. I always object to that. Fountain drinks are inexpensive as well as convenient to access and serve. This practice is always a huge turn off and makes me feel as a customer that they are struggling with income and I am being nickel and dime'd. I no longer feel like a guest. Went to this restaurant last evening around six O'clock with friends and we were impressed. We were seated almost immediately at a booth that had ample room for four adults. I had the delmonico steak and so did my friend. I like my steaks lightly seared and rare, my friend likes his medium rare, both steaks were done perfectly. My wife had the haddock stuffed with crabmeat with a side of risotto and again perfect. My friends wife had the grilled salmon and again perfect. This is a small family owned restaurant and I give it five stars and we will return soon to try one of the Italian specialties. It is family oriented with a nice Italian atmosphere. read more

My husband and I went today at about 11:30 AM. We ordered a large pizza extra sauce, well done, and an Italian sub. We liked the portion size, the fresh ingredients , and the flavor of everything. We were impressed with the food and the place. It is small with only four booths and seven assorted size tables. It does have a small bar. The place filled up fast. It is all new, and very clean, including the bathroom. The only reason I did not give it five stars was they are still trying to work out issues with servers, which is to be expected as it just opened.
