Our food was delicious and waitress was awesome! We will definitely return again. The taco salad was best I have ever had had!

Can honestly say the food isn't good here- you'd probably like the waffles they were fine but small in portion size, the servers don't write down your order so if you have any specifics like don't add xyz good fucking luck with that cuz they do not write anything down, sent back the first dish because it was incorrect and then the second which I ordered something different tasted like nothing and over spiced up mushy meat, that cow didn't die to be mutilated in such a horrible way. As they say it's a red flag when u walk into a restaurant and there's too many seats and not enough asses to fill them. And then my fiance his chicken he said tasted sour, I hope he didn't get sick like I did right after I feel like throwing up just writing this. As my mother would probably say "this tastes trouble" but unfortunately my fiance is too introverted to say anything, thank fuck we didn't order any appetizers too, wouldn't want more food to go to waste in this establishment. Oh can I mention the bugs too? There were ants on our table, ants, they probably got worse and the bathrooms soap pump doesn't work so they had to put another whole bottle separately on the sink for people to use. And guess what.. the manager still charged us for the dish that tasted like nothing even tho I only tasted a small bit of it, for that, you can go fuck yourself. As for our server, hun, when a customer is trying to be nice and understanding u don't say "ok" dismissively multiple times, you need to learn how to be a good server and learn how to serve your customers.. and for that, yes I left that no tip on purpose. I tip very well usually but when a service is absolutely horrible like that and the manager just decides to be petty? You won't be getting anything from us at all. Save the time and effort, drive somewhere else.. this place will never be worth it, besides you'll be stuck at the entrance for about 5 mins or so before a server gives a shit about ya anyways. read more

Would give this a zero if possible. There were very few people in the restaurant and yet we waited an extremely long time for the food to come. When we simply asked when we would be served, the waitress started arguing with us and disputing the wait time. She came back with the food in a couple minutes and started arguing again, and then again when we asked for the check. Will never go back. read more

So this place is new as of less than a month ago... and within 15 min of my house so I was really looking forward to the opening. We wanted to go eat there for our first visit but it didn't work out so instead we ordered takeout. As other reviews on Google have mentioned, the French fries were really good. We also ordered a Philly Cheesesteak which my wife enjoyed & I had the ultimate BLT. In my opinion it was a little heavy on the bacon, which I can't imagine anyone would think is a bad thing. Now being takeout, these sandwiches sat in to-go containers for about 20 min before I got home and opened them... and they were still rather tasty. Fresh out of the kitchen can only be even better. The restaurant itself is nice looking and the wait staff seem really friendly. The pictures of the inside that I posted were not long after they opened for the day so there were only a few people there. The food is very good, though sometimes lukewarm. The service is quite lacking. We've gone twice and both times there was a single waitress doing everything front of house. She was very good at it just couldn't keep up with the tables. Waited over a hour for our food the first time and almost an hour the second time. read more

I had chowder (NE), and a cheese steak and fries. Wifey had batter fried cod. The soup was really good ($9.00?). And her fish was ok too but very small. Both our fries were cool maybe close to warm but not fresh. My cheesesteak was cheeseless chucks of beef with very few peppers and onions. Terrible rendition of a cheese steak. Servers were nice, place is clean... I would have weeded the flower beds to spruce up a bit outside and painted that ugly sign out front. Nothing screaming at me that I can't wait to get back. We love Chef Stanley's! Our only complaint is the length of time it takes for the food to be served. The staff is amazing, and the food (especially the fried fish and chips) is so yummy!!! Give it a try, just make sure you have plenty of time to relax and enjoy your company or a good book. read more

This is our 4th time in a month. We love the food, the owners and the prices are reasonable. I always get the Spicey Tai soup and my husband has been happy with the potato soup and the NE clam chowder. First time for lunch. Service was slow and the food was okay. They seemed to be short staffed. I had shrimp po boy. The shrimp was good but served on a huge roll. Queso dip and complimentary chips were a nice touch but it was soupy. read more

I was excited to try this restaurant. But ultimately the experience was lackluster. The food was ok, but definitely not great. The service was good but the wrong food came out. The ambiance was odd, the menu gives vibes of fine dining, but very little was changed from when it was Perkins which gives a more casual family restaurant vibe. I've seen the way they treat customers and employees and it was disheartening. If I was in a pinch we may go back, but not likely with the other options available. read more

Two friends and I went to Chef Stanley's for dinner last night to celebrate my birthday. We all had been wanting to try someplace new. The restaurant was very clean and the hostess and server were very welcoming. I ordered the shrimp linguine, which was very good. I expected it to be served in a light wine sauce, but it was more of an alfredo sauce, much richer sauce than expected. My friends had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken and the mushroom swiss burger, which they both enjoyed. After we were finished eating, the server asked if I would like a birthday dessert. I ordered the chocolate cake which was delicious!! When the check was brought to the table, I was very surprised to see that I had been charged for the slice of cake. I was under the (false) impression that the dessert would be complimentary, as has been the case in other restaurants I have gone to to celebrate my birthday, and in the way the server asked me. I didn't think to ask if I would be charged for it--lesson learned. So word to the wise, if you are out celebrating a birthday with friends and your server asks if you would like a birthday dessert, you might want to ask if it is complimentary. Otherwise, you might end up buying it for yourself. read more

A relatively new addition to Apalachin-Vestal-Owego dining options, Chef Stanley's (the correct spelling) is definitely worth visiting. My wife and I have eaten there three times in the past 6 weeks and find it most satisfying. The service is welcoming and efficient and the menu expansive--but not expensive. We've had fish and chips, six rib plate, beef stir fry and a couple other dishes; will be trying one of their numerous Tex-Mex offerings soon. Stanley's can't be characterized as having a particular type of menu since they offer specialties of every sort: American, Tex-Mex, Asian, Italian and almost any other you can think of. The seafood is excellent and well-prepared and they have complimentary cheese dip (excellent!!) and chips (or bread) for openers while you read the menu. Typically, they have multiple soup offerings on any given day and they are delicious (although uncharacteristically, somewhat pricey). Portions are generous in the extreme, always enough left over for a take home meal. I recommend Stanley's for convenient, quality dining. Come hungry. read more

This was my third visit to this new restaurant. I decided to order the T-Bone steak as it was priced fairly and I haven't ordered a steak dinner for awhile. well, I wish I would have ordered something else. the Tbone came with all the meat sliced off the bone and cut into small pieces, like they were checking for doneness? I have ordered many TBones at various places and even grilled many myself and never had anyone serve me a premium steak cut off the bone! They did knock off 5 dollars from the bill, but they could also see, I barely ate any of it either. To me, the only reason to do this is they either substituted the meat for a cheaper cut, or they had no idea how to cook a steak. The staff seemed to be short of help, as it took awhile to get seated (no one else was waiting in front of us) and they rarely checked on us.
