Last time I went here I got a filet that was very good! They stuff the garlic inside of the filet while they cook and that just adds to the flavor of it. The service was very good and they were always asking us if we were ok. The vibe was very chill and fancy. read more

My husband and I just had our worst, and last, dinner from this restaurant. We have been frequent customers for many years, dating back to their old location in Waverly with eating in and take out. This evening, my husband's fish fry was limp, barely battered and tasteless while my broiled haddock lacked any flakiness, flavor, or color. Their food has not been consistent in flavor or serving amount. It has been spiraling down in quality, to the point of literally throwing it in the garbage after one bite tonight. Good food and strong drink. Great service too. The whole menu is good. I have a hard time straying from the fillet mignon but the few times I have tried other entrees I was impressed. You can't go wrong with Yanuzzis. Sometimes on a weekend the service is a little slow and our young kids would get impatient but for adults just order another drink and enjoy the time with your friends and family. Worse food ever. Tasteless crap. I ordered the shrimp scampi and the shrimp was not deveined and the pasta was tasteless. My husband ordered the rolled steak, it arrived looking like rolled turd in a bloody sauce and the beef tasted spoiled. Normally when you go into a restaurant a good indication is when you can smell the beautiful aroma of food throughout the restaurant , not with this place and as busy as it was on a Saturday evening it should have. What an amazing restaurant. Family owned for around 100 years. Seriously. Everything is from scratch and homemade. Nothing is "from a jar". First, their sauce/gravy. You can tell it's been slow simmered for hours to develop that rich flavor and color. It's very simple and yet so delicious. And it's the star of the show for so many of the meals here. I got the Italian sampler. Come hungry! It had a medium sized meatball (homemade), Italian sausage (from a local producer), rolled steak, veal parm, and a side (I got spaghetti). That meatball was awesome. Beefy and tender and just enough seasoning. I'd like the recipe! The sausage was really good as well. The veal was super tender and you could tell hand breaded. The rolled beef was tasty but I think I'd rather have another meatball or two ;) Finally the spaghetti with sauce filled it all out. Oh and it came with soup and salad too. I didn't finish! My only improvement recommendation is to partner with a local bakery and get some amazing Italian bread. A must eat for the area. read more

It has been 3 years since our last visit. Food is as good as it has always been. The 3 eggplant parmesan patties were tasty as well as the veal marsala. The tomato sauce on the pasta is exceptional, and I believe home made. Unfortunately, one huge party and several other large ones slowed serving time down for the rest of us quite a bit. After the salad was served it took 45 minutes to get our entrees. Not a problem for us since unlike the next table, we were not going to the 630 movie around the corner. The only disappointment was they didn't know how to make veal piccata. What!?!?!? Their veal scallopini was an unbreaded filet smothered in tomato sauce and chunks of mixed vegetables including peas. PEAS !?!?!? I told the waitress that the owner needs to take a day trip to Little Italy in NYC or the Bronx. Although I was curious, I didn't want to take a chance. The PEAS were the deal breaker. LOL Definitely a casual family dining place, but also suitable for special occasions. In the past we have had their steaks and filets. Quality was hit and miss. Great Italian restaurant! Prices are low, portions are big and if you order a glass of wine, you get a generous pour. Service was prompt and delightful. I love their marinara which is quite tart as it should be. I've been here 3 times in the past year and keep forgetting to forego the appetizer. I always bring food home and you won't leave hungry. The bar area has a very nice ambiance, the rest of the place is somewhat industrial. All in all it's always a great experience. Not fine dining but it doesn't pretend to be either. Valentines Day is typically busy as we eat here every year for this "holiday". Last night was extremely busy with waitresses being pulled every which way. Huge thank you to the Stephen Yanuzzi for getting us drinks when we were seated and for getting us boxes when we were ready to go. They truly treat you like family and want you to have the best experience when sitting in their establishment. Yanuzzi's Restraunt has recently re-opened. My father chose it for his birthday dinner. I've never been there before, it smells like an authentic Italian restaurant from the parking lot. Best place to park is in the back (not along the street). Hostess station is actually in the rear of the building. Interior is very large. Lots of tables and a separate bar area. Food was very good. I had the special, which was Eggplant Parm. My entire party enjoyed their meal and the prices were more than fair! Garlic bread was excellent. read more

Was told this is best food in town. No one in restaurant but myself. Waitress took order and disappeared for 30 minutes. Ceasar salad and 2 meatballs should be quick. No. Ceasar salad was on the menu but Other than lettuce and coutons, had no idea what else went it. Served it with grated parm cheese and vinaigrette dressing. Seriously! When it took so long I asked if they had to go buy the dressing and they said they did. They bought kens ceasar vinaigrette dressing. Just had dinner tonight . The food is good. Service not the best . They appeared to have plenty of help but Our waitress was extremely slow. The section of the restaurant we were seated was cold and we had to wear our coats during dinner. At least three times I asked our waitress to please turn on the heat but our request were ignored. Waited fifteen minutes for our check.Never came. Finally decided to find someone to pay our bill. I believe it was the host or someone who appeared to be in charge and told him about or dilemma. He apologized and told us he was never told about our situation. They appeared to be oblivious to the patrons dining with their coats on and the cold baseboards around the room. Yanuzzi's has been a staple here in the valley for as long as I have lived here which is over 40 years. If you want a decent meal at a great price you can't beat Yanuzzi's. The menu is simple and offers a great choice of area specific Italian food. They offer homemade spaghetti which is really good. Their salads are very basic but if you order one get the Italian dressing which is their own secret mix and you won't be disappointed. It's light and tasty and will still leave room for the main course. They serve bread with your meal which is just Italian sliced bread but it is good bread. You can get all plain, all garlic toasted, or half and half. You get 2 slices per person but more is just a request away. They have a nice bar area and very good drinks. I don't drink anymore but when I did I was never disappointed with their libations. Again the prices can't be beat. For example an order of homemade spaghetti and meatballs, an order of homemade spaghetti and pepperoni, two salads, and 2 diet sodas with refill the bill was $21 and change. You leave with a full stomach and a full wallet :). So if your in this area and want a safe sit down meal you can't go wrong here. Closed on Sundays though.. read more

Mamma Mia! You'll think your on Mulberry Street in the City. The first thing you'll notice is the aroma of good Italian food. I ordered the basic, homemade spaghetti and meatballs. It was a generous portion with enough pasta to satisfy my large appetite without needing to take any home. The spaghetti was cooked perfectly al dente, topped with the most savory tomato sauce and two large meatballs. I know good homemade pasta and the taste of this took me back to my aunt's kitchen, it was that good. Oh, and the large plate with garlic bread was under $10. read more

Lets start by saying the good was extremely greasy( unchanged oil). The salads were soggy. The server was pleasant but extremely overworked. After dropping over $100 on less the mediocre foot, the guy behind the bar ( next to where we were sitting) yelled at us that we needed to wear masks to leave. Meanwhile the governors orders had been deemed unconstitutional and his mask was down well below his nose and he had been serving people standing shoulder to shoulder at the bar. First time in the new location. Service was very slow. Was never asked of I wanted a drink refill. Friend had fried scallops that were cold and raw in the middle. This is the second time this happen. Very disappointed they had advertised open for lunch at first so when we went to go last week the doors were open no one in the room no signage on the door about hours and when we called out no one came from kitchen poked head in to ask and was told not open so asked why door open if they are not and was told very rudely that they were waiting for delivery.
