Excellent food, and reasonably priced. Also liked the ambiance, and everyone was friendly. Interesting decor as well, with the framed jigsaw puzzles. Highly recommend! read more

Lisa's place is situated on a quiet strip. My fiancé and I stopped on our way back home to CT and boy are we glad we did. It doesn't look like much on the inside, but Lisa's Place has great homemade cooking and generous portions. My favorite kind of place to find! We both got bacon cheeseburgers, which were absolutely phenomenal. You could tell that the ingredients were fresh, and the patty was homemade. Our meals also came with a healthy portion of fries, which we were pleasantly surprised by. The price is right at Lisa's and should definitely be added to your list if traveling through NY. We will definitely be back! read more

Drove hours to drop off a puppy we sold. Decided to stay in sayre, ny. Drove to nearby small town waverly. Tried this red building called Lisa's diner that had good reviews. Honestly from the outside looks pretty sketchy. Walked in and it has some old puzzles hanging on the wall and some old vinyl records also . Seems clean and much nicer inside. I ordered the couch potato and my wife ordered Brooke's burger. She got a side salad also. The salad was shredded lettuce and probably wouldn't get again. The server was high energy and very attentive. Got the burgers and what the freaking heck!!! They are crazy good. Just dripping in juice , cooked to perfection. Fresh cut fries are good. What a great hidden gem. Will be coming here 100% for sure next time I'm in the area. Ok, I'm back. Took home a peanut butter brownie. Holy Moses it's good. That is all, goodbye read more

Waited over an hour for burgers and fries. Waitress told us our order was on the grill. Waited fifteen more minutes and walked.

I gave up on this place long time ago, as their wait times can be absolutely ridiculous despite the decent food. I've recently given them another chance, and they gave me an hour wait on the sandwiches I ordered for my girlfriend and I, and we were fine with the wait and could plan our dinner break from work accordingly. The food was 20 minutes late and really screwed up our break, forcing us to eat as fast as we could so we could get back to work on time. The cashier wouldn't let me pay at the counter when we ordered, which I thought was weird, but figured out why after my meal. My bill came to $44, I gave her 3 $20 bills to allow for a decent tip, and turned to go back to my table, and she starts yelling about me still owing her $4. My 3 $20 bills that were on the counter before I turned my back suddenly turned into 2 $20 bills. I knew I was sitting directly under the camera, so I gave them more money and contacted the owner. She said she would check the cameras for me ASAP. She never got back to me, which you would think she would defend her employee if she didn't steal from me. But complete radio silence for a week now. Kinda telling on yourself. Maybe pay your employees more so they don't have to steal from your customers. I'll never go back, and from here on out I will urge anyone I can to not go there either. So much for trying to support local businesses. read more

Great place to eat and have fun with the staff greatest in New York will always get my burger and cheese fries

Always a pleasure to visit here and enjoy the delicious many options of foods. Great environment with happy, cheerful employees

Terrible service, like 45 minutes for two burgers. Left out of frustration. Save yourself.

I'll say it again!! Beyond best!! Service is amazing!! Yes, I had a wait time, but not a problem. Busy is good!!! Cheesesteak...no words. Beyond filling, tasty, I could actually see meat, and definitely leftovers. Mushrooms? Crisp, delicious and again, plenty leftovers. I've known Lisa for years and she never disappoints!! I love she takes time out of her busy night to at least say a few words to you. Keep up the fantastic work. Price is great and the vibe is perfect!! Very welcoming. read more

This place is great. Honestly the best sandwiches in the Valley. Everything we have had, has been stellar. The only drawback is, it's quite small, but it's take out is quick, nothing seems to suffer from it. We are working our way through the menu, and have yet to find anything..Anything that isn't great. The Cheese steaks are huge and the best in the Valley. The fries are fresh cut and plentiful. If find yourself in the Valley, stop by, best before or after the noon hour, if you are looking to sit. Call ahead for take out. read more

We were on our way to Buffalo from NJ and stopped for lunch. Food was delicious and everyone was so kind. Wish we had a place near us like this! read more

Brooo. Words cannot do this place justice. By far one of the best places to grab a burger and fries. The 1/2 pound burger is always cooked to perfection, juicy and absolutely delicious. The fries are fresh cut and deep fried to an art form. I tried two different burgers on two different occasions and found nothing to complain about, food wise. I really wanted to give this place 4 stars, due to the lack of heat and how cold it was inside the building, but couldn't because the burgers are SO damn good. If you find something besides that to gripe about, that's on you. Enjoy! read more

My wife and I eat here for the second time the other day. It is so good. We both had burgers and onion rings. The burger has to be the best one I have ever had anywhere. It is not fast food by any means but it is really really good food. Worth the wait. Absolutely we will go again. Great place read more

The food they severe is always so good and comes in good portions and they even have special days like wing Wednesday when a dozen wing is only 8.00$ and on Tuesday they have a burger special and the service is always amazing too Lisa the owner always comes and asks how was our food and how was our day was. Also their ambiance is so nice with workers and hopefully one day I hope I can work their too after high school read more

If I could give zero stars I would. The kitchen area looks disgusting, the staff is nonchalant. We waited over an hour for a grilled cheese and meatball sub. I asked if it was almost ready because I had to get to work, she said "he will be starting it soon". When I reviewed on Facebook the owner was nasty and rude. read more

Bright red building. Specialize in burgers and hand cut fresh fries. I had the Blue n Bacon and it was very nice. Fresh meat. Well cooked. Only negative was it was served on an supermarket potato roll which wasn't really sturdy enough to contain the juicy. 3 people for lunch....$24. got some of their peanut butter brownies to go. They were delicious. Not much else in the area but and easy off and back on to the highway. Small place but there are a few other tasty looking restaurants in the area if Lisa's is full. read more

Great food at a reasonable price and excellent service. The ambiance was country music and Elvis. Pretty cool!

Call when I left Walmart she answered I was asked to hold pulled in front of the restaurant still on hold watch for few minutes . 6 people walked out a lady cleaned a tabled and I'm still on hold . I watched the owner deliver food , take a order. So I walked in she cashed some one out then came to me and asked what I wanted I kidley said you might want to take the phone call on hold they have been waiting over 9 minutes. She got loud and said I have been busy I said well your other waitress could of taken the order she said we don't have one that was a customer cleaning if a table so she can sit down. I said sorry didn't know . She said what would you like I said 2 burgers she then got nasty and said and hour and half . I said really 1 1/2 for 2 burgers. I said I will go somewheres else. I'm sorry but if your that busy hire extra help. So glad they did not get the rail house they would never be able to keep up. read more

Love this restaurant, very good food but they are very busy and cannot answer the phone sometimes to give an order but totally worth the food and price if you can get through. The staff is very nice and apologetic about wait times. Definitely recommend it! read more

Nice red brick building on main street in Waverly. Some extra parking on the west side of the building. It's pretty small inside with about 5 tables, but the food is excellent. I've been there twice now, and I'm greatly impressed with their sandwiches. The best texas hot in town. It's a 1/4 pound Nathans split and flat grilled with meat sauce onions and a toasted bun. One and done, a bargain at under $4. The cheese steaks are large and fabulous. The place is clean and service is efficient, and prices are about right. We plan on trying more of the menu. There are some great sandwich places in the Valley, this is certainly one of them. read more

We were staying in Waverly for work and the photo of the Loaded Fries caught our eye. Came on in, and boy those fries did not disappoint. Wings and chicken cheesesteak were also delicious.
