He had it John Wayne style, which means chili and cheese on top. It was quite large and excellent. I ordered their blueberry pancakes with a slice of ham. Also, very large and tasty. They make their own iced tea--no soda fountain tea here!! It was very dark and rich. My husband said that they also have very good coffee. One thing I noted was how quickly the food came after our order. We were not unique. I noticed many were also served quickly. Service is great. I don't usually like syrup on pancakes and when I asked, they gave me something else other than syrup. We talked with some of our friends who come to Becky's almost daily and they said that the diner starts their order as soon as they sit down (because it doesn't change very often), and it comes out within a few minutes of sitting down. There are lots of booths along the walls and tables in the center. Vinyl tablecloths are used. Very practical. They have indoor and outdoor seating, which is really nice in the summer and fall. They are open for breakfast and lunch. The owner keeps a food pantry outside the door. I think this is one of the best breakfast places around. 5 stars as it is everything you'd expect in a breakfast/lunch diner plus great service and friendly atmosphere.

We had a great table on the water. It was a busy Saturday afternoon, and the place was packed. The staff did a great job managing the work flow. Clearly an experienced group of people. We ordered the top item on the menu, the cheese steak sandwich, added some peppers. It was quite good. The fries here are and definitely get an order. The problem happened when I ordered the house burger- another top menu item. I asked for "medium rare", which should have a hot center but some pink left. What I got was well done- and dry as the desert. I had to drink a lot of water to wash it down. Normally-if this was a steak, I'd send it back. But- it was a burger and the kitchen was already jammed, so I choked it down- I was really hungry. I would not order the steak here- pretty sure a 6 ounce filet would end badly. Other dishes being served at other tables looked great. I would come back here. It's a great place. Thus- 5 stars.

When you're putting shrimp on a skewer next to a steak for example, yeah I can definitely see leaving the tails on but when you incorporate shrimp into a pasta dish or a rice dish like risotto, to have to take the time as the custer to cut the tails off or reach your fingers into your food and pull them off... Personally I would like to see that down in the kitchen before the dish is served. It was still very tasty, just that one that'll detail that I personally would change if it were my decision to make. For drinks the wife had a blue Hawaiian and I had their red edition of a Long Island iced tea. My wife doesn't like the taste of alcohol in her alcohol sold a blue Hawaiian worked pretty well. Had a really good coconut flavor, and my iced tea in my opinion was a little strong. I'm not saying that's a bad thing overall however it didn't taste as good as Long Island's in other restaurants. I might be a little outside of the normal here but when I order a mixed drink, unlike 30 years ago when my goal was to get hammered, I don't necessarily like it stronger I look these days more toward the flavor of the drink. Sat near the maître d' podium. The inside door of the foyer kept sticking open. Had to get up to close several times as it was about 5 degrees outside. Not a huge issue but should not have been an issue at all. Slightly more annoying was the noise level. The restaurant was full and very noisy. It was a bit challenging to have a conversation at our location. It eventually quieted down and all was well. Definitely something that needs improvement though.
