I walked in and the gentleman behind the counter asked what he could get for me, and I replied that I didn't really know (as I was planning on asking him for recommendations) He looked at me and said "then what the hell are you doing here?" (with kind of a grin on his face). I'm not saying that comment would have been accepted by everybody however my interpretation was that he read me pretty well and he was correct in the fact that I thought it was funny. But anyway, I told him what I was thinking about doing and he recommended some bay scallops and shrimp... I got home and made my alfredo sauce, some pasta, added the seafood and oh my gosh. The quality of this seafood was off the chart. I thought I was doing pretty well with for example the shrimp I was purchasing at my usual supermarket however after tasting this, I will be a regular customer. The place is rather small, and they don't have an excessive amount of anything as far as I could tell, however they have a little bit of everything. I'm quite sure they have more in the back at least what little space there is in the back, and I did read reviews in other places (or maybe even on here I can't remember) that apparently you can get on their email list and therefore you will know when the truck comes in if you really want fresh seafood. So anyway, definitely a place I would recommend to anybody that's in the Elmira New York area. You will not be disappointed.

For the main courses, we enjoyed a seafood risotto and a rather large chicken pot pie. (Yeah I know, getting chicken pot pie at a steakhouse is kind of unordinary but it's one of my weaknesses) The pot pie was pretty good. The crust was really good but the filling was standard with others that I've had (not those nasty ones from grocery stores either, but other restaurants). My wife had the risotto, I of course tried some the seafood flavoring throughout the rice itself was done perfectly. The seafood that was in it was also prepared exceptionally well, with one small detail that I would have done different. When you're putting shrimp on a skewer next to a steak for example, yeah I can definitely see leaving the tails on but when you incorporate shrimp into a pasta dish or a rice dish like risotto, to have to take the time as the custer to cut the tails off or reach your fingers into your food and pull them off... Personally I would like to see that down in the kitchen before the dish is served. It was still very tasty, just that one that'll detail that I personally would change if it were my decision to make. For drinks the wife had a blue Hawaiian and I had their red edition of a Long Island iced tea. My wife doesn't like the taste of alcohol in her alcohol sold a blue Hawaiian worked pretty well. Had a really good coconut flavor, and my iced tea in my opinion was a little strong. I'm not saying that's a bad thing overall however it didn't taste as good as Long Island's in other restaurants. I might be a little outside of the normal here but when I order a mixed drink, unlike 30 years ago when my goal was to get hammered, I don't necessarily like it stronger I look these days more toward the flavor of the drink. My husband got the cheesecake and there was a dried up chunk of something that fell off another dessert!? Nope...his cheesecake was dried out...literally to the point that I could lift it up by the sides and set it back down without my fingers having anything on them--still dry. So I tried my peanut butter pie. Also so dry that I could lift it by the cut sides and thump it on the plate and it didn't even fall apart!!! Shame. On. Them!! The server explained that they were probably in the fridge for "a day or two"...I think possibly more??
