I was very surprised and impressed to see a brewery in downtown Endicott I think when I had first visited that they were still brand spankin' new, but they already had good beers and a great atmosphere. Flash forward 4 years and I had the opportunity to return. Still the only brewery in town, but they've stepped up their game with some additional decor, an outdoor seating area on the sidewalk and digital menu boards. Oh, and they continue to produce great beer. Really liked how they're also canning their beet now too. On my last visit, I had the opportunity to chat with the owners for a little bit. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Hope to make it back to the area soon to visit again!

The owners and bartenders came right up to introduce themselves and get to know us. They gave us some complimentary samples of beer from another brewery they love, which I've never seen, but appreciated. Overall, it's worth the trip, and I'm glad we were able to meet the guys who run it!

We'd arrived on a Friday morning, about an hour after they opened, and we were the only ones. When we walked in, we were instantly greeted by the brewery dog: a large, calm girl. While we drank, she lounged around. There's only one picnic-sized table, and no seats at the bar. So we stood by the bar to grab a flight- and since there wasn't any "real" food, we grabbed a bag of pretzels and chips to snack on. Eight beers on tap and five per flight, so we opted to try the White IPA, DIPA, Belgian style ale, azacca IPA, and the hard apple cider. Everything looked, tasted, and smelled great! The bartender was friendly and helpful throughout, and answered all of our questions. There's nowhere to eat in the area and not much other reason to be in the area, but if you happen to be passing through then this place is certainly worth a moment of your time.

The beers are always very well balanced, always gentle with a very distinct flavor (if you can imagine that), and always served with a smile. Try the Belgian Peach, if they have it. Or the midnight lager, which is a similar darkness to a Guinness, but you don't have to chew it. The (forgive me, I've forgotten what they named it) jalapeño beer is most definitely worth your time, if you're into that slight burn in your throat and belly. I've heard they to some excellent hard seltzers, too, but I'm always too excited to try the new beers to actually drink any seltzer. And when you're ready to eat, 2 Dogz has partnered with a BBQ joint worthy of being served with the best brewery in the area: Red Rock. Definitely try out their chicken, it will change your life (especially after a few of those midnight lagers). The staff adores dogs, so bonus points! There's a treat jar behind the bar, and they will absolutely coo over your pooch and bribe them with treats. If you're passing through or in the area and trying to find something interesting to put in your mouth, definitely try 2 Dogz. They're worth every penny.

I have to admit I'm becoming ever so loyal to the smaller "labor of love" breweries. The owners are in the brewery and you can tell the pride they have in the brewery. The location is great. It's in an old Endicott Johnson firehouse. The bar is wood from the floor of the defunct Brandywine Bowl. First time I ever drank off a bowling lane. The set up was intimate with about 4-5 wrought iron barstools and several tables and 2 leather chairs. The beers were all good and we were so happy we came back the following night. Met some great people at the bar and felt like we were among old friends. They don't serve food but you can BYOF (bring your own food). Interesting place that will just keep getting better over time. I had to change the headcount twice, confirmed the reservation multiple times because of the size of the group, and they even moved us into the beer hall to accommodate everyone. Communication leading up to the event was excellent. Unfortunately, about 30 minutes before our reservation, I received a call that the kitchen had been shut down due to an emergency plumbing issue. I completely understand that emergencies happen and don't fault the restaurant for something outside of their control. We were offered the option to delay our reservation by 30-45 minutes while they waited for an update, but there was no guarantee the kitchen would reopen. After discussing it with the group, we had to scramble to find another location. I appreciate that someone called rather than having us show up and receive the news, but with a party of this size, I wish there had been more proactive communication, the GM thought she had called me but totally understood when dealing with an emergency. Chicken was dry and had no flavor. Chips were way too salty and inedible. Really disappointed, the quality continues to go down while the prices go up. At some point the "our operating costs are going up" spin will only get you so far while the overall taste and quality of the food continues to decline.
