I organized a team dinner for 36 people after a softball day, and Beer Tree Brew made the reservation process incredibly easy. I had to change the headcount twice, confirmed the reservation multiple times because of the size of the group, and they even moved us into the beer hall to accommodate everyone. Communication leading up to the event was excellent. Unfortunately, about 30 minutes before our reservation, I received a call that the kitchen had been shut down due to an emergency plumbing issue. I completely understand that emergencies happen and don't fault the restaurant for something outside of their control. We were offered the option to delay our reservation by 30-45 minutes while they waited for an update, but there was no guarantee the kitchen would reopen. After discussing it with the group, we had to scramble to find another location. I appreciate that someone called rather than having us show up and receive the news, but with a party of this size, I wish there had been more proactive communication, the GM thought she had called me but totally understood when dealing with an emergency. The reservation process itself was outstanding and talking with Jessica about options at their other location was great. Hopefully we can try the Factory if we are ever back in town. read more

We love Beer Tree. We have been going there pretty much since they opened. While the beer has remained exceptional the food has taken a serious hit in quality. Went to Factory last night and ordered the fiesta bowl and was highly disappointed. Over cooked rice, barely any corn or beans and the chicken was lacking in flavor. Overall the taste was pretty bland had to get extra sauce to put on it just so I could eat it. Someone else got the chicken caprese and there was one basil leaf on the entire sandwich! Chicken was dry and had no flavor. Chips were way too salty and inedible. Really disappointed, the quality continues to go down while the prices go up. At some point the "our operating costs are going up" spin will only get you so far while the overall taste and quality of the food continues to decline. read more

Amazing beer and food experience. The milk oat stout was good and s'mores taste appealed to my fiancé. I liked it but it was a tad sweet for me. The medium wings were spot on and the black and blue pizza was the best! However DO NOT leave without an order of garlic parm fries which were probably the best I ever had! The service and great, attentive but not too much. The ambience was good with a good choice on music, not too overwhelming. A definite must return when in the area! read more

My wife and kids do like this place. we went there bc of the outdoor seating and it being dog friendly. There were five of us plus our corgi but I was on a special diet and brought my own food but immediately our server said you cannot eat that here. It was my idea to try this restaurant in the first place. Well they got service for 4 of us and tbh we won't be back b/c they cannot accommodate my special diet by allowing me to eat my own food. if you want to be strict like that then so be it. I personally would not patronize this location next time. do the math, we got 5 people, four ordering and me not ordering but I did get a beer. oh you cannot bring in any outside food. If I known (which I honestly didnt bc I thought beer tree would be chill like Resto La Muse in Drummondville Ca) we definitely would have patronized another establishment. so unfortunate bc I thought with the spacious outdoor seating this would be go to for our corgi and my special diet. Oh well, not going back. read more

I went back here despite my better judgment because an old friend I hadn't seen in a while desired to go here for some drinks and food and to catch up. We sat outside because we had one of the few nice days around here where it didn't rain. The food was good but the shameful part here is the servers and atmosphere. During our meal, they decided to deliver hops or something to their silo outside the building but right outside the seating area. It was horrendously loud to the point of being uncomfortable with a scratching rattling noise that was terrible. We had to shout. After about 10-15 minutes of this, we complained to our server who said there wasn't anything that could be done but it should be over soon. Not long afterwards, it started to quiet down and everyone on the patio started clapping and cheering and THEN IT STARTED BACK UP. Slightly less loud, but still requiring shouting back and forth at our small table. This went on for another 30 minutes. I asked for the manager, who again said there was nothing she could do and then gave us "free drink" chips we could redeem for a free drink on another visit. We dropped over $80 for the two of us on this visit and were nearly hoarse when done talking. Then, as we are leaving, we look at the chips that we were given for our "free drink" and it's for a COFFEE on the house!! Not even a real drink. Good grief. I may have said this last time, but if at all possible, I'll never come here again. The price/atmosphere equation is radically out of balance here. read more

Unforgettable staff serving up amazing brews and bites! This spot has become a family favorite for milestone birthday celebrations. We gathered together for Mom's 80th birthday and everyone left full and happy. To start, we ordered the brewers bites (mini pretzels with a side of cheese dip), cellarmen fries and brussel sprouts with an IPA honey glaze. While we had no issues demolishing all of the above with our table of 6, but recommend pacing yourself if you are also imbibing and plan to order a main course. We all ended up grabbing take-away boxes because we were over-full by the end! I ordered the steak sandwich and was very pleased with the local beef. My partner had the Cobb salad with blackened salmon and it was also incredible. **Shout out to our super-rad server, Trevor, who has been at the Factory location since it's opening. He was incredibly attentive and friendly. It is because of the Factory's amazing crew that we keep returning! read more

We were blown away by how good this brewery was. It was pretty big and looked super cool. It had a little bit of everything for anyone. It was a nice casual place. We've had their beers at bars back home and we're always impressed. They don't do traditional flights but 5 oz pours. I had basically all of their sours, which were fantastic. My husband loved their Oktoberfest. The food was also great. My husband had a burger which was good. My turkey melt was fantastic. I typically will only eat half a sandwich, but I couldn't stop. Our server was great. We're stuck in town for the night because our event got cancelled last minute due to weather. She gave us recommendations. read more

First visit to the Factory by Beer Tree. Love what they did to this part of the mall that used to be a Sears. The patio is huge and is great to enjoy on a nice day. My husband and I aren't huge beer fans so we had Blackberry and Lime cider from Awestruck and the Kentucky Buck cocktail. Both delicious. Chicken wings were big but could have been crispier. The IPA honey glaze was a little flavorless. No complaints about our entrees though. The chicken pesto pizza and the salmon salad. read more

Made reservations for Brunch on Easter Sunday. When my party arrived they wanted to seat us at the high top tables which are awkward to sit at, the seats seem to be too short for the tables. The restaurant was maybe 40% full at most, why sit a family with reservations at a high top designed for overflow? Next, the food was meh at best. I ordered the steak and eggs, eggs were burnt on one side and looked like my 10 year old made them. The chicken and waffles had absolutely no flavor, frozen waffles have more flavor. Ordered coffees and when asked for regular milk, not non-dairy creamer they gave, the waiter wasn't sure how to bring it out to us. Going back to the high-tops, an elderly couple came in after us and they were seated at the high-tops. neither person was able to get up on the seats and yet the staff did not offer to seat them at any of the 4 empty 2 person tables near us. Overall it was a huge disappointment. read more

This is a great spot if you're looking for quality food in the Binghamton area. They have a wide selection of craft beers, cocktails and wine. The space is large and is able to host big groups. I'm most impressed with the food. Usually breweries will have small snacks or subpar food. Here, everything is made fresh and you can definitely tell the quality is top notch. They also cater to different dietary needs, such as gluten free or vegan diets. The last time I was here, I ordered the veggie napoleon sandwich because I didn't feel like eating meat. I was prepared to chew on stale bread, but was shocked how light and airy their chibatta was. It literally came out of their pizza oven. The sandwich was so tasty for a vegan option. Definitely check this place out when in the area! read more

Stopped in a Monday the downstairs was closed (that area looked more inviting) sat at the bar upstairs near the pizza oven. They were out of specials so just decided on the brewers bites the best part was the cheese dip the bites were nothing like pretzels they were very dense biscuits and very dry. The quinoa bowl was ok some flavor. I was hoping for more it looks so nice as I have driven by for years but the atmosphere was not very welcoming and felt more like a take out place than dine in. I saw a lot of orders go out the door in my short time there. Was just hoping for more read more

The Beer Tree franchise (Farm and Factory) used to have amazing food. While the beer is still excellent, the food is getting worse and more expensive every time I eat there. Factory used to have genuine Neapolitan pizza, best around. Now it is no better than frozen. Yesterday - $17 cheeseburger - clearly frozen premade. One star for the food, 5 for the beer, 4 for ambience. Guys - please stop cutting corners and milking your loyal customers for every dollar you can. Go back to serving quality food that we all used to rave about. Please. read more

This place never disappoints! I have been here several times. The food and service are always consistently good. They offer a large menu with many good choices, even salads. When it comes to drinks, they offer more than beer. There are some decent wines to choose from and they also offer some craft cocktails. I have never had to wait for a table, even when it is busy there. It can be loud in there depending on how busy it is or if there is an event going on, but it's never been intolerable. Parking is easy. I love this place and look forward to continuing to return. read more

Great spot for American brunch and drinks in a large open space. I got the Brunch Burrito ($13), which was very tasty - it had a bit of a spicy kick with farm fresh veggies/eggs and came with a potato and sweet potato combo. It was also quite a filling portion size for the price. To drink, I tried the Raspberry Shandy ($8), which had a sweet raspberry flavor, but was too light with seemingly minimal alcohol. The restaurant has a huge dining area, both indoor and outdoor on a nice deck with umbrellas. You can also see where they brew their beer on the ground floor. Our waiter was super friendly and attentive. The service speed was okay. Overall, Factory by Beer Tree Brew offers solid food and drinks in a nice open environment, and would be a great restaurant choice, especially on a day with nice weather for sitting on the outdoor deck. read more

Amazing beer, food, service, indoor/ outdoor space, and ambiance! Stopped here for lunch on a rainy and windy day and while we couldn't enjoy the outdoor lawn chair area, we had a fantastic time indoors. I love their lunch specials and varied food menu (sandwiches, pizza, burgers, salads). They have wine, cider, and creative cocktails to complement their vast draught beer menu. Two levels of seating means they can definitely accommodate a lot of people. I'll be back! read more

Disappointed because I had been to other locations and they were great. Gluten free pizza was inedible. The crust was soggy and thick. Cornmeal taste. Salmon salad was literally a piece of salmon on greens with some canned corn and black beans on top. Gross. Noticed others complaining to waitress too about their order. One table left their food almost uneaten. Only saving grace was the kind waitress who took food allergies seriously. The food was just not good. read more

Initial visit and tried the bleau burger and replied just medium when asked. Opted for the French fries. Unsweetened iced tea to accompany. The service was good and attentive. The downsides, the burger was over cooked and ketchup container was so sticky and gross. The upsides, fries crisp and lightly seasoned. The iced tea wasn't instant. I will try them again for a dinner and try some beers. Lunch time was not an appropriate time for beer. read more

Beer tree, Factory or Farm are must stops if you're in Binghamton. Great food, beers and ciders.

Good things: food, atmosphere, seating, menu options. Bad things: service. The servers rush you, do not check in, and confidently put the wrong things in front of you. They do not seem interested in their customers and just want a turnover. Our appetizers came out with our entrees and we had to ask for plates. We asked about their drink menu and the server did not explain or care. Everyone seemed unsure. read more

If you've never been to Beer Tree you're missing out. The Factory has an industrial feel to it, and is very large, with outdoor seating (if you can find a suitable day in Upstate NY). The staff is friendly and attentive. If you've never been I highly recommend stopping by. read more

First timers here and we will be back! Lots of low and high tables spread out with clear dividers for the larger tables. Beer selection is great, especially the blueberry beer! Pretzel bites were excellent and the beer cheese is delicious - next time we will ask for extra! The burger was perfectly cooked and did not need any added condiments. The Buffalo Cauliflower flavor was on point but they could have been crunchier. The batter was a bit soggy. For 3 beers, 2 apps, and 1 burger our bill came to $55 without tip. Service was attentive and quick! We really enjoyed ourselves and can't wait to come back! read more

This place is a little gem that keep reinventing itself . Adding the batch coffee shop etc.. we recently had a team brunch celebration on a Sunday, all homemade muffins and scones and croissants along with delicious French toast - amazing French toast! Bacon that was super thick, eggs and other treats . Service was top notch as the wait staff was very attentive to our needs and very organized . The place has that cool "factory" finish where it has polished concrete floors , huge brewing room, and high top tables. Always lots of noise and chatter and customers generally are very comfortable and happy dining there read more

I've been a fan of beer tree since they first opened the first location. It was a beautiful location but a little far from the Binghamton downtown area. This location is great and I love that they're serving food inside instead of having to juggle your drinks and tacos from the bar to your table to the taco truck. This Johnson City location is great and close to the Wegmans. I ordered the salmon kale salad, which was one of the specials for the night. The salmon was perfectly cooked and it a super balanced salad. I tried the pizza as well and it was delicious. I love the variety of beer they have here! Great ambiance, great beer, and amazing food! Absolutely terrible. 10-15 minute wait for a table, despite several being open. Ordered two of the worst beers we've had at the bar. Another 15 minute wait for a waiter once seated, overlooking an old parking lot. Loaded fries were the saltiest I've ever had. Two salads took so long that we said, forget it -- put them right into a box and we'll take the check. Won't be back. read more

I've only been here a few times, but I've been consistently delighted by both the Factory and the Downtown facility. The beers are interesting and varied (always happy to get a black lager -- not many places brew 'em). I won't claim to have a particularly sophisticated palate, but the beers taste great, and they seem to taste like the descriptions. I love the wide variety of sours. The menus are full of fun stuff -- we were delighted, on our last visit, to get dill pickle pizza. If you're the kind of person who'd order something like that (clearly, my partner and I am) then you'll be delighted with it. Our only complaint is that we wish there was more dill on the pie. I was blown away by the small wild grain bowl side, which was both an amazingly generous serving, and deliciously savory. I can only imagine how big the entree is, and how good it is with a bunch more stuff thrown in. Usually folks add stuff like vegan entrees as an after-thought, but this was awesome. The mac and cheese was not quite as amazing -- the beer cheese sauce didn't rock my world -- but it was still solid. On past visits, I've been delighted by the fries and poutine, and, looking over the rest of the menu, there's lots of stuff I'd like to try. We've lucked out (reading the other reviews) and generally had pretty solid service. I don't know that anybody wants to be my new best friend (and I don't know that I want them to be), but we haven't ever starved. We just waltzed into one of the last tables at the Factory this last visit, but I seem to recall waiting a bit on a previous visit. Similarly, we had quite a wait for a spot at the bar on a busy night Downtown, but once we were seated, both the bar staff and the other patrons were pretty cool. I can recommend this place unreservedly -- either of the two Beer Tree facilities I've been to were worth the trip, and I'm anxious to check out the Farm. read more
