I'm new to the Pasadena area, so I've been trying to find a threading salon that also does waxing. I'm very happy to have found this spot in Temple City that is close by, affordable, and always does a great job! I like the check in system that they have with their tablet, makes it easy and you also get rewards points! Both the girls I've had there so far have been very good and listen to exactly what I want (since I'm incredibly specific when it comes to my eyebrows). Sometimes it gets a little busy when there's only one girl working, so make sure you have some time to wait around in case there's a couple of people ahead of you. This used to be a place that has different people working who were absolutely the sweetest. Now the people there seem as if they don't want to be there. It's $7 for eyebrow threading but in the shop, they have a couple posters that promote getting a $1 off if you check in for Yelp, which I did. When I showed it to the woman who did my eyebrows, she looked mad and her whole attitude changed, which I thought was a bit aggressive. They also do tend to thread on the thin side so make sure to be clear that you just want them to clean it up instead of reshaping your brow if all you need is a clean. read more

I have been to Rising Threading twice with different employees. The quality of the threading is excellent, though they never asked me how thick or thin I wanted my eyebrows. Pricing is very competitive. Check-in is stress free because you don't have to remember who is in front of you. There is a kiosk where you can enter your phone number upon arrival. This would have been a five star review except for the most recent experience I had. I checked-in Yelp upon arrival and after 25 minutes of waiting, had clicked on the pop up coupon by mistake. I wasn't able to check in again, but the alert indicated that I had already checked-in (and therefore, couldn't check-in again within 4 hours). Sumarita would not apply $1 coupon towards the service because the pop up coupon had disappeared, even though it was clear that I had checked-in. There is no code to scan in --- so as far as I know, there wasn't anything preventing the $1 discount to be applied. Understandably $1 is no big deal overall, but I am annoyed by the inflexibility in customer service. read more

Sarita is great! I knew I could trust this woman because her own eyebrows were beautifully kept. I got my whole face threaded. Sarita was patient and removed all the fine hair on my face, and I left the shop glowing afterward! The store is very clean, and she really took her time to provide thorough service. I did my whole face and it was only $25! My face feels so soft! Threading does leave you a little sensitive, but I think it is worth it. It helps my skin absorb my skincare products much better, and also makes my face look a lot brighter and cleaner!! Cannot recommend Sarita enough. My eyebrows look great too !! She even offered to put witch hazel toner on my face afterward to help my skin calm down. I was wearing makeup so I passed up the offer. I came here with a friend, and she got her eyebrows done. She told me the next day she got a small pimple where she was threaded. I told her this was normal. This has happened to me many times before when I got threaded (luckily not this time). I think something about pulling the hair out from the face causes minor irritation. These kinda of blemishes usually do not last long and will leave in a few days if left alone. I've been here multiple times. I have always had a great experience. Normally, the girls go fast so there is minimal pain. Unfortunately, this last time I came it the girl did it very slowly which caused a lot more pain than necessary. Next time I will make sure not to go to her. This is by far the best consistent threading I've experienced. I've been to a couple of different places and have even tried eyebrow waxing a few times but won't be doing that anymore. Luckily for me, I found Rising Threading, and all of the workers here have been amazing with my eyebrows! I personally like Sarita's threading best. She's very friendly, and she's probably the one consistent person I see each time. I once came in after having my eyebrows waxed several weeks before at another salon. I knew that my eyebrows were messed up because of it (I'll never return to that shop). The worker at Rising Threading, upon looking at my eyebrows, immediately asked if I had gotten it waxed because they were almost perfectly UNeven. Wow, she knew. And she fixed it!! Glorious. Got my eyebrows and upper lip done by Kalpana today. She was very friendly and also gentle as she was working on me. She was thorough and took her time cleaning up and shaping my brows. I've been to the Monrovia location of RT and absolutely loved the service, so I was excited to see that they were opening up a location here! I like that they now have a digital system that keeps track of your visits. This is replacing the stamp card they used to hand out in Monrovia. Once you've reached 10 visits, you earn a free eyebrow threading. I go every two to three weeks so it's easy to rack up visits and earn your freebie. This is a nice little place that does threading. There are plenty of seats inside the facility, and last time I went, there were 2 people working. It is located in the same plaza as Kmart, so there's a good amount of parking throughout the parking lot. The lady who did my eyebrows was very nice and she took her time doing my eyebrows. She asked me if I liked it and if there was anything else I wanted her to change, and she happily did as I asked. She massaged witch hazel afterwards which was very nice and soothing. I really enjoyed my experience here! I just went in and came out in 15 minutes! The lady who did my eyebrows & my sister's was gentle when we had let her know that my sister had sensitive skin and as a result, she did not have any irritated skin around her brows in the end! It was our first tome getting our brows threaded so we were nervous about it, but we were pleased with the results as our brows ended up looking slightly fuller and darker than before. I really liked this place the first time I tried it but when I came in the afternoon as a walk-in the second time because I had time between errands, I waited for an hour and received no acknowledgement from the person working. I understand she had appointments prior but the least she could do is let me know that I would have to wait longer. She finally let me sit down in the threading seat after waiting an hour and then told me that she said called my name by accident. She said I had to go back to the waiting area and wait there while she worked on someone that came in 45 min after me and admitted she was a walk-in who signed in after me. That was not cool.
