There has been quite a few comments about the Asian lady names Rhonda who works here and I'm here to add to them. I came to visit my family in the area for the holidays and needed a quick threading. Rhonda not only was super... I mean SUPER aggressive with my eyebrows and grabbing my hands and face very harshly, but she burned the skin off my nose and left it so red. I've never had a more painful and aggressive eyebrow threading experience. It was horrible and I can tolerate pain haha. Rhonda needs to be talked to by the owner. I went in to get my eyebrows done and some creep said something that was very disturbing to me as I sat down to get my eyebrows done Maya was very sweet and tried to comfort me by making conversation, this place is my go to place to get my eyebrows done! As for Covid precautions, 2-3 people inside at a time, chairs are 6ft apart And they clean and sanitize the chairs. The last two times I've been here I've gotten the same girl Rhoda I believe is her name, she is really rude and messed up my eyebrows. She is really harsh and when she tilts my head she does it in a rude and kind of aggressive manner and when she was threading the bottom part of my eyebrows she kept going all the way down to my eyelids so harshly. I was shopping across the street and just so happened to find this place on Yelp and I needed my eye brows done before I went to dinner so it was perfect. Bad News: the photos of the place are not what it looks like REAL LIFE. I walked in the girls stared at me and didn't even say anything so I decided to say I'm here for eyebrows like they never seen a man get threaded before. They had no customers inside for a Saturday that's weird but whatever. I came here for threading for eyebrows and I loved how it turned out. It's only $4.99 and I found that the workers take their time and are very careful to give you the type of brows you would like. Sometimes when I go to other threading places they are zipping through and seem to be very rushed, but not here and I was very happy. My only complaint is the the area is a bit sketch. I always come to this place for the great deals. I pay $8 for both lip and eyebrow threading. They typically clean my eyebrows, but keep the thickness. I went in today and she kept making them thinner and thinner to make them even. I told her I did not want them thin, I only wanted them cleaned. After looking in the mirror I told her they were too thin, yet she asked me if I wanted to make them more even. I told her no, they were already extremely thin. The check-in offer clearly states $2.99 for eyebrow treading. When I presented my coupon at the register, the woman looked at me as if I was crazy & claimed she was unaware of such an offer. She then hollered to the other worker & asked if she knew about the coupon. She also didn't know, but insisted it was only $2.99 off of the eyebrow threading. If this is the case, why doesn't it say $2.99 OFF, instead of $2.99 for eyebrow threading??? Trying to use the coupon was a huge hassle. Everyone sitting down waiting was staring at me, and whispering. It was a very embarrassing experience. All workers should be aware of the discounts and specials they offer to avoid putting their customers in uncomfortable situations such as the one I went through. Given that there is no "0" option on stars, I will give 1. Not by choice. It had been about 2 months since the last time I had my eyebrows threaded. I had waxing before but once I discovered threading, I decided to stick with that. Normally I get my eyebrows done somewhere else, but given that there were local shops and had a few people "rave" about how good this place was. I gave it a try. I went from full thick eyebrows with medium size arch (with hairs growing since it had been 2 months) to super thin eyebrows, with no arch. The young lady that assisted me had taken about 10 minutes. She did my right eyebrow first. Which looked nice and full with the arch. She handed me the mirror to look. I told her it looked good and so she proceeded to doing the other eyebrow. What normally takes about 5 minutes when I go somewhere else, took about 15 minutes or more here!!! As shes doing the left eyebrow, she would thread, stop, thread, stop and so on. It got to the point where I felt was too much. She finally tells me shes done. So I pick up my head before she hands me the hand mirror. I look over at the Vanity mirror in front of me and right away I noticed how one eyebrow was up higher than the other. Totally uneven. When I told her, she acted like nothing was wrong. I continued to tell her how it was really obvious how one was up and the other down. Not to mention, THIN!!!! She then proceeded to speaking to another beautician [to avoid me understanding them, she communicated with her in another language other than English----VERY PROFESSIONAL!!] Another young lady came over to see my eyebrows, asked me to once again sit up up up...practically having my head off the chair. Then asked if it was ok to fix them. I told her yes! [obviously Im not going to walk around with one higher than the other] I told her to please not make them any more thinner than what they were! She threaded, fixed, cut, threaded and so on. Until what appeared to be "decent" eyebrows. I left. Not very happy, wanting to cry of how bad my eyebrows were left. Not to mention, the 2nd lady that had "fixed" them had asked me "do you wax them?" I told her no, how I only do threading. Then tells me "oh yes, they messed them up here, see?" I tell her once again, NO! I normally go to Z!ba and the last time was 2 months ago. I came here with my eyebrows fine, just needed some cleaning up and this happens!" At least if you mess up, own up to it! No I'm sorry or anything. Rather they wanted to blame Z!ba for messing up my eyebrows that had fully grown out in the last 2 months!!!! Horrible place! Ok, I am giving it 1 star because I can't give zero. Came here because I was in the neighborhood, and it was the worst decision...of the day! Liked the eyebrows when I left, but now, there is just regret. I have a rash on my neck and parts of my face! Yes, with threading! I have done this countless time, and this is the first time it's ever happened. I don't know if it's the thread they use, or the fact the lady puts it in her mouth and then threads your face. I noticed at the end that she was putting it there, and then threading me! Gross! And on top of that, her breath smelled... I don't even want to say, but sure wasn't pleasant. She was breathing on me! Isn't she supposed to wear a face mask? The place I often go to does that. Rising Threading might look clean when you walk in, but the ladies aren't, at least the one that thread my face. Don't like to trash places, in fact, this is the first time I write something like this. If I review a place, it's to express how great it is, but this...this was too much. They try to find the perfect shape without having to thin them out too much, and they work fast. Sometimes there is a longer wait time especially on a weekend but it well worth it. I went in to get my face threaded & ended up with horrible misshaped eyebrows. I didn't catch the lady's name, but she was the older of the two there. She did a horrible job & hurt my face. When finished & I told her she ruined my eyebrows, she insisted on fixing them by threading even more!!! I've been coming here for about a two years and sadly to say I will be going to a different spot. I use to love the way the ladies would do my eye brows. But the last two months they've been coming out very iffy, not as shaped as they use to be, the reason for that is because they've been getting new girls. For some reason the same girls who were here before aren't there anymore. I have been a regular customer for about a year now, I go in every 2 or 3 weeks and tip from $5-10 each time I go in, all the lady's know me by face and know what I usually get done, a couple nights ago, I got there around 6:20, and waited 15-20 min, for it to be my turn, when it was I got turned down very rudely, with an eye roll and everything because it was 15 min till closing, I have gone in 5 min before closing, and they would take me no problem, I don't understand why they wouldn't take me this time or tell me at the door when I went in that they wouldn't be able to, at least then I would have enough time to call different places and not be in a rush,or late for dinner with my family, never the less I will be going back but not with that same lady that turned me down read more
