JJ Nails - Deep French tip - Nail Salons Near Me - El Monte, California

My cousin recommended this place to me and I live in Brea and I wanted to try it out I went to Jasmine and she is so helpful and so sweet. The service there is absolutely amazing. This will be my third time going to this place. Love the service and the people. 10/10 recommend. read more

I decided to give this place a try after seeing the good reviews and reasonable prices, but I left extremely disappointed. I got a fill and the work was extremely messy... I had so much acrylic flooded around my cuticles and my nails were filed crooked. I originally wanted a deep maroon color, but the acrylic fill was so bumpy and terribly done that I had to change it to a natural color so it wouldn't stand out. I told the nail tech multiple times but I was limited on time and just accepted her work was not good. They did an extension on my toe nail and it came out extremely crooked and the paint work was super sloppy. You truly get what you pay for. I am giving 2 stars despite the terrible work because everyone was overall nice and kind. read more

Pedicure. Water was not warm. In fact. Kinda cold. No scrub done. But it was semi cheap. And no paper slippers. So I had to wait longer just to dry so I could put my tennis shoes back on read more

Wouldn't recommend getting lashes here. Staff was too quick took less than 2hr. Eyelashes were poking my eyes and made me have an eye infection even if I was cleaning them everyday. Lashes were too close to my water line. I have had eyelashes done before and never made my eyes hurt and felt pressure. Definitely would not recommend here. Also they were forcing to give a big tip even tho my lashes weren't done properly. Please save your money and go somewhere else. I had to go after to someone else for them to remove my lashes...... they stated she put them right on my waterline. read more

I've been coming here for a few years to do my pedicure with Mandy, I don't do my nails very often but when I do I go with Jasmine. Today though, I did the hair and scalp treatment, it was absolutely worth every penny. It was relaxing, my hair feels awesome, like always Jasmine did an excellent job. I signed up for the membership so I just had to pay the upgrade to get the Signature treatment. Overall a great experience. read more

wouldn't recommend at all, over priced. usually like coming to get my nails done i enjoy the process but for an over price set of 150 dollars for short nails ANDDD basic ones? yeah no, do i have the money for it? yes but not to spend 150 on short basic nails.. sorry read more

Look at the edges of the nails I just got them done they are horrible the lady who did them her name is Jasmin I believe. Its the first and last time I go she was such in a hurry and did not do a good job at all. The other lady who did my pedicure also left my toe nails ugly the paint is all bumpy I will not be coming back. I dont know the lady's name who did my eyebrows but she did a really good job so the 1 star goes to the lady who did my eyebrows. Do not go here I should've listened to the reviews. read more

2 out of the 3 I've done my nails here they break or lift. I think the products they use are cheap. I would give 1 star for nails, 4 stars for pedicure and 5 stars for lashes. The lashes are soooo good and inexpensive. I really wanted to like it here since I moved even further away from my nail lady. This is the LAST time cheat on her. Wasted my time, my money and was just a very unpleasant experience. The nail tech Sun is really nice and fixed my nails on 2 occasions but the point is for them to last and not need to be fixed. I'm not hard on my nails at all I don't even wash dishes. My nails should last at least 2 week. Very disappointed. read more

Went Friday to go do my nails for a wedding Saturday. The lady suggested I do gelx but little did I know she did not know how to properly apply them. The day of the wedding I am missing 4 nails. Also two are very loose already lifting just a day after getting them done. I was going to fix them but had no time due to the wedding being early. Would not recommend coming here especially for special events. Had them done by someone in the last table with long hair and a bit of highlights. Have not done anything for my nails to break. read more

Just tried this spot for the first time and OMG it was horrible! I was there for 2 hours!!!! I had a feeling the girl Mandy didn't know what she was doing because it took her FOREVER to apply the powder. sure enough she applied it so UNEVEN that when she polished it you can see all the uneven powder through the gel polish! Looked so bad, I wanted to cry! What a waste of my time! I'm upset I even paid $40 for this shit when I have to go tomorrow to another place for them to fix my nails all over again!!! Apparently the girl "Jasmine" is the only one that knows how to do nails. I don't know why only have 1 person that does good and the others are horrible... read more

Was not happy with the service or how my nails and pedi turned out. The place is dirty and I had to put my fresh pedicure feet on dirty floor to get to nail table. They dont offer sandals fyi. Also, for the amounts of money you spend, they use the basic at home pedicure basin. I would stay clear. read more

I am appalled! I just can't believe these lazy and mediocre nail technicians... Sunday, June 4, 2017 I came here for a fill, gel color and to repair a nail that broke off. Sonny was his name, I asked him to cut my cuticles and without hesitation shook his head and said no... I said excuse me? He said I didn't need it, which is never the case when I go to get my nails done. I have alot and thick cuticles, but whatever I let it be. I was the last customer, obviously he was in rushed to finish. There was gunks of top coat polish all over my cuticles (which I cleaned up back home), my left thumb polish was totally uneven on the bottom and when I asked him to fix it Sonny said your cuticle is uneven, I proceeded to say well if you had cleaned or pushed back my cuticles this wouldn't be a problem and he said I would have been cutting your skin. 'Whatever bro, I can live with uneven polish, like it's not the end of the world' Never mind all that though, yesterday Monday I noticed a gap between my natural nail and the acrylic nail. Hell no I do not want fungus, so hey I'd thought I'd go back so they can fix it. Sonny was off and the owner APPARENTLY, with the ronchi rainbow highlights told me to come back tomorrow. For one nail!!!! If not I have to wait 2 HOURS. Is this a JOKE? What is one nail vs. 8 customers requiring full services?!!!!! I asked for a refund on my gel color, since I will have to go elsewhere to reapply that one nail, I would have to get a whole gel polish change because obviously they won't be able to match the exact polish. So she answered this is not retail, we don't give refunds.... She took no responsibility of her technicians mistake and gave no fucks. Lesson learned, their hours were convenient, but I will never again step into one of these cheap nail salons. read more

Just visited this place today looking for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. I ended up paying $34. Which is definitely reasonable.... if the work had been good. My pedicure looks nice but she didn't really massage the lotion in just kinda.. put it on my legs and feet with no pressure behind it. My nails however... the lady took her time but it seemed as if she was very unconfident in her skills. I'm not happy with how the manicure came out at all sadly. read more

Super friendly and reasonable prices for a mani pedi. I especially love when they polish my nails they polish the whole nail! I'm SUPER picky about my nails, but I am fully satisfied with Son's work. The shop is on the smaller side and don't have pedicure massage chairs with attached feet tubs (?)... and two Yelp pictures of customers' acrylics freaked me out a little, I'm not gonna lie... but LOOK at this fresh set! I stopped by because one of my girlfriends recommended Son, and I'm so glad I did. The other ladies I spoke with were so sweet as well. Great nail shops with workers that speak fluent English are so hard to come by. I love that I can converse comfortably with the technicians!! Definitely made the time fly by. Thank you and see you again soon! PS: Don't forget to tip Son fat- he has five kids and a wife at home!! Hahaha read more

Jasmine for eyelash extensions! She was attentive, efficient, and extremely skilled. My lashes are weightless and almost invisible to the feel! I got the set lashes instead of the single ones and look like I make the effort to put falsies on every morning. For $35 - I highly recommend y'all see Jasmine! I will try the single lashes when I can splurge $50! Also the entire process only took Jasmine 1 hr - 40 minutes to design and attach and 20 mins to dry and set. 2 week has passed - lashes are surviving showers, eye rubs and more. Just one side detached but still looks fine and natural. It's how you upkeep them. Tip: don't have the lashes extend too close to your inner eye corners and you really won't feel them! read more

I called in and came in here on Saturday night of Valentine's Day weekend around 6:45pm and it was empty..usually I know it would be busy but everyone was long gone for their dinner.. Mine was not until the next day so I got lucky! Anyways, came in for classic dark red coffin acrylic nails and Jade did an amazing job!!! Ahh I LOVE them! I've been getting so many compliments from it! She knew exactly what I wanted. Also, really friendly and fast.. I was out of there within 45 minutes! The other places I've been to can't compare..I know I'll definitely be coming back. I recommend getting your nails done by her..you won't regret it! Pricings were super affordable for quality nails and parking was really easy to find. You can park in the front or the back.. They do validations! Also, very clean and nice ambiance. They also do eyelash/eyebrow extensions so definitely make sure to book appointments for those! read more

Lan is my girl. I swear she fixed my nails twice already from mishaps from another shop. I'm impatient and when theres a wait i tend to look elsewhere. But no more! she knows the shape of my nails and makes them look slender instead of it being all wide and big. Lan is so good. I really like the way she did the ombre tip. It actually looks like its gradient instead of one blotch and some more glitter above it. The shop is super cute and clean. She has a ton of colors and they have this special file for stiletto shape nails. I havent seen it at other shops so i know shes on it when it comes to making sure her customers get the best service. Shes super cool too. Lan, girl you're the MVP nail queen. LOL. Will be coming back and next time im bringing my sister! read more

I got my gel manicure by Mandy and she did great. She was so gentle and really in it when going over with the polish and cleaning up my nails. I don't know the name of the person who did my toes, but she was also great! She was also incredibly gentle with my toes and the callus scrub and I've been to places where the leave my toes sore from the pulling and the cleanup around the nail beds but both ladies did an amazing job!
