That said, I do have some concerns about sanitation, which I noticed and have also seen mentioned in other reviews. They handle cash and cards and then touch your face without cleaning or sanitizing their hands, which can be a health concern. If you come between the hours of 1030am-145pm there isn't much wait. I checked in and was out within 10 minutes. I got my brows threaded and there was no one inside. It did go up in price. A great and affordable eyebrow threading shop in the SGV area. It's pretty standard with minimal to no decorations inside. It's very much a quick stop to get eyebrows threaded done. Arrived in the afternoon on a Friday and there was a waitlist. So be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes during the busy hours. Knocked down a few stars for sanitation. The person helping me handled cash from the previous client then proceeded straight to preparing the thread to start my eyebrows. I kindly asked her to use hand sanitizer before beginning and she quickly did. There's little to no communication because it doesn't seem like English is the staff's primary language. Never asked how I wanted my eyebrows to be shaped or checked in on my satisfaction, just went straight into getting the job done. So depending on your preference, this could be an efficient experience for nice brows or uncomfortable with the seemingly lacking customer service. Despite the signage inside, they don't offer the yelp check-in discount anymore. With all this in mind, I would still visit again. A woman who arrived after me questioned the wait time and was taken before me, even though I had been waiting over 30 minutes. This is my go-to spot for threading in SoCal. Affordable prices and quality work! Eyebrow threading is $9 (excluding tip) and they're usually pretty quick. I have pretty sensitive skin but the pain level is very tolerable here. I will say there seemed to be a newer worker and I wasn't as big of a fan of her threading results. That being said, I was being pretty nitpicky in my judgement and they still came out quite even. Be sure to communicate what you want clearly or show pictures to make sure you get more of the results you want! read more

I've been coming here since 2017, and have mainly been walking in. Sometimes when they're busy, it could take 10-25 minutes, but most of the time, I've only waited for a few seconds-3 minutes. Unfortunately, the price for upper eyebrow is $10, whole the upper lip is $6, while in the previous years it was $12-$13 for the total 2 services. Service: It's quick, and the staff is friendly. Sometimes a bit hard to hear due to volume, but they'll ask how your day is, and sometimes ask if I was doing okay after one eyebrow was done. They will show you the results using a mirror. That's when you'll have to make sure they shape your brows the way you want it to look. I usually just go for a clean-cut but this time, one of the staff suggested to smoothen the natural arch that I had, and only went at it once I approved, and it ended up complimenting my face shape. In the end, I was asked if I wanted some Aloe Vera, and they would add a good amount on the places where the hairs were threaded. read more

I've been coming here for the past few years and generally have really great experiences. My last visit was earlier today, 12/21/2022 at around noon and boy was it busy! Which is a good thing for their business - it means that they have a lot of repeat customers, who trust them with their threading needs. However, just keep in mind that there might be a wait when it's busy (prob because of the holiday season) and I waited like 30-40 minutes before it was my turn. I haven't been back in some time since I've moved to another city but walking in was like a breath of familiarity lol. So same drill, you walk in and check in on their iPad. You put your name, phone number, what service(s) you want, and which staffer- Jina or Sarita, or whoever is available first. I usually will pick Jina because she is the sweetest! She's not only gentle but also thorough in her work and takes her time. You never feel like she's rushing with you. I've also had Sarita helped me.. like today when I had her do my brows and upper lip! She is also nice but also fast/efficient in her work. Awful experience today! I walked in & one of the employees gave me the nastiest glare. Then, I showed her how I wanted to have my brows done & she did them completely wrong. What makes it even worse is that she didn't seem to want to fix it & when I finally got her to do it... she completely threaded off a portion of my eyebrow. High quality eyebrow threading at an affordable price! I was looking for a new eyebrow threading salon after moving back to the 626. Given the high ratings on yelp, I figured I would check Rising Threading out. It is located in a large plaza (used to be Kmart back in the day for the OG 626ers) with plenty of parking. There is an iPad to sign in with your name, phone number, which service you want, and which stylist (optional). You sit down and wait for your name to be called (which is always a good sign to see other people waiting). I did an eyebrow threading clean up ($9) and it was great. I was very pleased with my brows. I believe they do accept card/Apple Pay but I always try to pay and tip in cash. No "hi welcome" "is this your first time" "check in is at the iPad. Nothing After I check in I figured it wouldn't notify one of them we sad and then I had to get up and ask her if we need to wait after check or how it works. It's a little hidden as it's also right next to where Kmart used to be, and as Kmart is no longer there, the plaza on that side is rather quiet. I got my eyebrows and upper lip done for under $20. Located in the Kmart plaza, there's plenty of parking! You enter and check in on an iPad. You put your name, phone number to be on their rewards program, pick what you want done (ex: eyebrows $6, upper lip $4, etc.), and you can add guests too if you're their with a friend. I just got my eyebrows threaded and they were very thorough. My eyebrows are quite unmanageable and wild sometimes but they look so nice and sleek now. The lady really spent her time to make sure my brows were even and nicely shaped. She also did what felt like my entire forehead because I have so many mini hair lol She asked if I wanted to do my upper lips bc I have some fuzz on the top of my lips, but I once broke out really badly from upper lip threading that I've kind of been scarred from it. They also ask if you want olive oil gel and of course I said yes. Someone told me it's to stop you from breaking out so ya I want that. I've been here twice and brought my sister and we both agreed she's awesome. Our brows came out perfectly even, neat, and just as we desired. I believe we've found our consistent brow girl! Process Check-in on tablet at front desk. Select your person (Jina or Sarah), then select your services. Brows is $5 and upper lip is $8. Full face is $15 I believe? Jina alcohol/sanitizes the chair between each customer. Both times I've been here it's only been Jina. So I don't know how Sarah works. Each person takes about 15 mins. So if you have two persons ahead of you it can take up to 45mins. I recommend coming during lull / weekdays. I usually come after lunchtime on a weekday and there's usually only 1 other customer around. Parking is ample in a quiet Rosemead blvd parking lot. Covid safe precautions. Chairs socially distanced and Jina sanitizes chair between customers. She also sanitizers her hands and is double masked. Appreciate the care they take. There is never more than 4-5 customers in the shop. P.S. There's a yelp check in deal for first timers for $1 off! read more
