The only negative thing I'll say about this place is that it isn't as sanitary as it should be. I've noticed that clients sit one after another without the chairs being wiped down, and I don't see hand sanitizer being used between customers. That said, I've been a loyal customer here for almost seven years, and I've never trusted anyone else with my eyebrows. I'm extremely picky when it comes to grooming, so I completely understand those of you scrolling through reviews, trying to decide if this place is worth it. For me, the answer is a resounding yes, and here's why: The woman at chair #1 is amazing. She's been shaping my eyebrows since I was in middle school, and I'm always beyond satisfied with her work. If it's your first visit, I highly recommend requesting her by asking for chair #1. You can even call ahead to check if she's available. One of the most important things when getting your brows done is communication. Be clear about what you want, what you don't want, and even bring a reference photo if needed. I think a lot of people skip this step and end up disappointed. That said, I can't personally vouch for the other staff members, as I've only ever gone to the woman at chair #1. Without fail I always breakout around my eyebrows after threading here. Unfortunately, I've never seen any associate sanitize between clients/after handling cash. I usually ignore the minor acne that sprouts after a visit here but most recently my right eyebrow received an infection that I now have to treat :( ..not worth the cheap rate! read more

This is probably the only location I will ever go to after hearing the bad experiences my sister had at the other location in Alhambra. Although my sister always prefers station #1 when I come here with her, I don't personally have a preference as long as I come out with fleek af eyebrows. I usually get the eyebrows ($8.99) and the occasional lip. Before I go, I like to leave my eyebrows a bit unkempt just so they have more they can work with in terms of shaping and cleaning up the brows. When I initially came, they did cut me a bit but overtime, I think my brows got used to this type of service and became less sensitive. There are usually two people working and it has been the same two ladies every time I come here. Cash only. Plenty of parking (it is in large plaza). The only thing I will say about cleanliness is that they really don't care for it. None of the tools are sanitized after each customer, none of the chairs are wiped down, and they don't wipe off the eyebrow hair off your face post service... highly recommend you wash your face/shower after coming here. Overall, if you want some inexpensive threading done and you don't care too much about them cleaning the tools (brush, scissors, chair) after each use, then this is the place to be! read more

This place sucks now. When they first opened they were really good. Station 1 was really good back then, then she relocate to Oceanside. The new station 1 lady took over, she used to be good. I went to her for very long time now. Since last year, I am not sure what happened but she stopped threading fully. She half @ss her job. She used to take her time and thread around the brows. When I get my lip thread, she would thread around it. Now she does it so fast and it doesn't even look good or clean. I kept going to her all last year. The more I go the worse she get. Not sure why I continue to give them the benefit of the doubt. Station 5 seems to be the one who also butchers my eyebrows. No matter how nice or how much I've tipped it never fails. Still try to be as cordial as can be with her, she gives me the worst possible feedback and blames me for having a gap on my eyebrows. DON'T COME HERE. I feel completely ripped off paying them to basically shave my eyebrows off. Came in to get me and my husband's eyebrows cleaned up for our wedding shoot. They ended up basically cutting ALL of my eyebrow hair off while my husband's eyebrows are uneven and way too short. One eyebrow's thicker than the other and the tail ends too short. Wtf. Absolutely horrible job. I'm so pissed and upset. I have micro-bladed eyebrows and came in just to clean up around the edges. There's literally a stencil of where my eyebrows should end and they still fucked up and over threaded them. They also didn't ask or confirm and just went ahead with cutting off my natural hair with scissors to shorten their length. Now my eyebrows look blotched. The tails have NO hair and my front to mid brow is patchy AF. I'm so upset at how they could do that. It's like they wanted the eyebrows to look worse. I wish I had a before picture to show how bad they ended up. Im literally in tears. Save your eyebrows!! Protect them at all fucking costs and I don't recommend this location at all. This is a hit and miss, depending on who you go with. I've been here several times and they usually do a good job. The last visit got me looking like I got into a cat fight. I've been coming here for years to the time and never had an issue with my eyebrows. This is a threading studio that uses some type of yarn to take off unwanted hair. I'm such a loyal customer to this store, for about 2-3 years I've always been happy with the results of my eyebrows after threading because I'm overly selective about my eyebrows just like anyone is. There's usually an sweet old lady who does the best job on my brows but today, there was a new employee there that seemed in a rush and completely ruined my eyebrows. It has been a long time since I have had my face threaded. Ever since the pandemic and having to wear a mask, I have only had my eyebrows threaded. Now that I have received both of my Moderna vaccinations, I am not as fearful about going to public places. I noticed that there were a lot of hits and misses regarding the person that does the threading in station 1. When they first opened, I always asked to have the person at station 1 (Nira?) do my eyebrows. Then she moved to the one in Alhambra. I started going to Alhambra. She is no longer in Alhambra. So I thought about trying this location again. I had a very pleasant experience with the person at Station 1. She told me her name, but I can't imagine myself trying to pronounce her name. I believe she gave me her nickname of Pima(?) or Piba(?). I just remember that she seemed older than the person at Station 2. I'll definitely be coming back here. I'll be requesting for the person at Station 1. There were 2 people that waited for her to finish my threading. They wanted her, instead of the person at Station 2. Who knows? Maybe the person at Station 2 awesomely threads eyebrows. Since most of the reviews talk about the person at Station 1, that's who most of us ask for. I got my eyebrows threaded with the lady who does station 1 and when I went to pay I gave her $10 and she proceeded to stop and tell me I gave her $10 and I apologized because I thought I had enough for the tip but I didn't and someone claiming to be her cousin got upset and was yelling thinking I was walking off without paying even though the worker clearly stated I gave her $10 and mind you the price is $9.99 and the cousin started yelling and recording saying that I was leaving without paying the tip. After I clearly stated to the "cousin" that I did in fact pay for the service and wasn't just walking off without paying at all. I've been coming here for years and I always tip each time even if the service isn't great and they fuck up my eyebrows sometimes but I always tip and I've always been loyal to this establishment and the one time I didn't i get accused and stopped. I used to pay $50+ to wax my brows. I was never really satisfied because they always looked uneven. Until I noticed that one brow is higher than the other. I expressed that to my brow stylist but over time she stopped caring. So I stopped getting them done. I have been touching up my own brows for the last 6 months and they finally grew out to where they were unmanageable. I was so nervous to get my brows done, I felt nauseous. My eyebrows ended up super thin and crooked. I have plenty of eyebrows so not sure how they messed it up so bad. Maybe it's a gloves and thread but, I will no longer be coming back. I've never needed to specify how I want my eyebrows the past. They have always done it just fine. Sometimes a bit too thin but not as bad as this. I went to chair #1. $7 eyebrow threading is truly a steal -- having lived in SF for the past 2 years, I've seen threading places charge $20 just for EYEBROWS. *shook* Kaya gets the job done if you want to get your eyebrows cleaned-up, but aren't always super-detailed so you might have to pull the extra strands of hair yourself. However, they always show you how your brows look like afterwards, so feel free to voice to them any spots that need fixing. During COVID, they require you to keep your mask on and there's hand sanitizers available at each station.
