The simple design and color palette were beautiful, and my coworker loved it. She chose chocolate ganache with lilikoi buttercream, and the lilikoi flavor was especially lovely; subtle but bright and balanced, and it really tied everything together. Texture-wise, the cake was a little drier than traditional cakes and had a slightly different aftertaste, but that's understandable given the dietary restrictions. It actually grew on me, and most importantly, my coworker was able to enjoy it safely and loved it.
