I went today with a couple of friends, we ordered arroz chaufa, ceviche mixto and mondonguito a la italiana. The arroz chaufa was ok, good flavour, looks fresh....the mondonguito a la italiana was horrible, they put bell peppers and square onions, no flavour at all and the ceviche was disgusting, no flavour, choclo over cooked! I hate to do this to a small business, but we won't be back. The food was ok-nothing special-to me. My Peruvian boyfriend hated it & even got a stomach ache. My issue was with cleanliness. No one greeted us when we arrived so we chose a table that would accommodate us & his kids. I saw that the table was still dirty & a young woman came over to wipe it down. But, rather than having us get up so she could properly wet it down, she sprayed a tiny bit on a cloth & got the top level of just parts of the table. So, I had everyone use some hand sanitizer, hoping that would help. But, then the kids ordered finger food & they brought out nearly empty ketchup & mustard bottles which were disgustingly dirty after being handled by who knows how many people. I only realized this when I had to help one of the kids with the mustard. I felt the filth. Shouldn't a restaurant be giving us little to-go cups of condiments and not their entire (empty) bottles? I thought this was Covid 101. Before I could get more hand sani on the girls' hands, they were picking up their food with their fingers. Too late. They're both under 12, so not vaxxed yet, like their father & I. If I could go back in time & get us to leave, I would. Maybe take out would've been a better experience. There was also one server with her mask pulled down the entire time, so who knows what's happening in the kitchen. Luckily, our waitress was masked. Driving by this place caught my eye (wife is Peruvian), so we thought we would try it. We decided to do take out so I cannot rate the service except to say that the waitress was welcoming. We decided to try a few items. We had the lomo saltado and the tallarin saltado along wit the ceviche. For appetizers we had the papa a la huancaina and platano frito. The ceviche and both saltados were very tasty and you won't go wrong. The beef in the lomo saltado was very tender and well seasoned. The platano frito was nice and pretty much how I would expect just the right amount of sweetness. Now for the papa a la huancaina. I need to start by saying I always compare to how my mother-in-law makes it, so maybe this skews my review a bit. Overall it was just maybe so so. The sauce had the perfect consistency I like (I've had it like water at other places), but the flavor could have been taken up a notch. Maybe more aji , but who knows. The best Peruvian food spot in the valley. Their ceviche de Mariscos is 10/10 . Highly recommend

The lomo saltado had great flavor, but the experience was just ok. The ratio of meat to fries was like 25/75 so it missed the mark and did not look like the picture in the menu. The white rice that came with it was a bit hard and not cooked thoroughly. I guess I was expecting a bit more for a plate that was more than $15 bucks. We also ordered a "pescado frito" plate, but it came without a slice of lemon or the onion salad that was part of the description. We had to ask for everything as the lack of detail was very apparent, which was kind of disappointing. I am not sure that I will be back. read more

This is the first time I have ever been to this location and I all I want to say is that their Pollo Saltado was great! I do have to agree with an old post someone here mentioned which is, that they do serve more fries/potato than meat. I think they can improve their serving size since it felt like I had barely any chicken on order. Their food was overall tasty and delicious. Prices is fair which is a given. read more

I just got out of this place and while the food was good the portions where really small. I had shrimp and lomo saltado and only got 4 shrimps with 6 slices of meat loaded with potatoes. The napkins where counted 2 to be exact and the bread before the entree was limited as well 2 to be exact. I will never visit again. read more

Visited this place today for the first time, and it will not be the last. Service started a little bit slow, but they did have a huge party and there was only one server. We ordered the fish ceviche and the cielo, mar y tierra (3 meats) Salteado and Maracuyas to drink. Lets start with the ceviche. Super fresh and so tasty! Literally the flavors bursted in your mouth, seasoned to perfection. Then we get the Salteado, again, meat, chicken and shrimp flamed and cooked to perfection. The wait, and less than stellar Maracuya, all but forgotten with the then excellent service and food. They deliver through GrubHub which is a plus and the serve your food fast, a plus when you are super hungry! read more

Just ate here for the 1st time and food was good!! We had the usual pollo saltado and tallarin verde. Genoveva, our server was so nice and helpful, even let us sample the 2 staple Peruvian drinks..the maracuya and chicha.... the chef Willy was so cool.. he even showed my daughter and I the Peruvian style of cooking over the high flame! Best ceviche de pescado ever! Fresh, the right taste, right amount of spicyness and actual canchita. Super authentic. Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance is traditional Peruvian restaurant in the states, not too fancy but also no skimping out on the music, decorations and the red and white. Felt like home and was super satisfied with the food and service. It was so good I went twice in a row. One night for dinner and the next day for lunch. The papa a la huancaina was legit and they even had the actual Botija olives which some sad restaurants try to trick non-Peruvians with the kalamata olives. But not this place. I was in the area looking to try a new Peruvian restaurant. So, I yelped to see which one was the closes and the with the better reviews, this small Mom and pops restaurant popped up. Nice and well kept facility. Had the bisteck a lo pobre. Was not dissappointed. I would say, they're quality of meat wasn't too good. They gave me a meat that was very chewy and thin. Service was very good, food wise was mediocre. Also, ordered an Aji de gallina and tallarines verdes. My wife and kids weren't too happy with their food. This is the best Peruvian restaurant in the Valley. Like most good restaurant's, the food is cooked to order, so expect to wait for your meal. We had the Papa a la Huancaina while we waited for our main dish: it was excellent and the portion was generous. The aji was just right (I don't like it too hot) and complemented the food very well. My buddy and I ordered the Seco de Cordero (Lamb Stew) because we came late for lunch and they had just ran out of Seco de Carne (Beef Stew), and it was the best I've had in the States. The meat tender and tasty and the beans were cooked just right. My buddy, a gringo who enjoys Peruvian food as much as I do, said it was the best he's ever had. My son ordered Lomo Saltado, his favorite Peruvian dish, and he said that he didn't remember having any better Lomo, he said the meat was tasty and tender and the Lomo's flavor was excellent, although he said he would've preferred a little more meat. Went in today and had a great experience. I am not sure of the gentleman's name that helped us but he was amazing. He explained every dish to my non-Peruvian brother in law and even brought out a little sample of the Ocopa (which was delicious). We all got a cheviche tradicional and lomo saltados. The cheviche was delicious. The lomo saltado had so much flavor. The portions were great. The prices were great as well. The place was also very nicely decorated. I was here last weekend and had the tallarines verdes with steak. They were very good and authentic. The rest of my group had a Ceviche Giovannita and they loved it! I don't eat seafood but this came with about 4-5 different items and they absolutely loved every item on that plate and thought the portions were great. Very good Peruvian food here! read more
