We called last minute and the owners (adorable couple) were so accommodating to us! My friend and I wanted to share a fun experience to celebrate our kiddos turning twelve. They are a boy and a girl and it gets harder to find things together they will enjoy. They loved this! We had to be the drivers but they loved tooling around all over on these fun little rides! We didn't venture off too far as it was a bit chilly (no one's fault but the weather!) so we stayed close in the area of the pier and harbor. If warmer we would have done two hours and rolled down to Carlsbad and back. What a fun time, recommend to everyone who's looking for some fun!! read more

I just rented a bike today. What an awesome experience!! These lil e bikes got some kick to them! Way fun and a great conversation piece!!

We had a great time riding these bikes! The couple who owns this shop made us feel very comfortable with riding before sending us out. The fat tire bikes are incredibly comfortable and rates are reasonable. I would definitely recommend renting for a nice ride to Oceanside harbor. Bring a jacket for overcast days as the wind whipping through your hair will also chill your skin :). 5/5 read more

Such a fun experience! The owners are awesome and we had the beat time riding along The Strand and to the harbor. Definitely recommend, and we will be back! read more

My boyfriend and I were able to rent the fat scooters here yesterday for an hour. They had a short safety course that took about 10 minutes and then they rode us out to the strand to make sure we were comfortable(which I really appreciated). From there we were free to go on our own. The scooters were almost like riding a motorcycle and it was so much fun! Definitely will come here again next time we're in town. read more

Surprised my hubby on his birthday with the 3 hour bike + helicopter ride! Both were great experiences‼We cruised all over Oceanside, to the airport & back, made a few stops... It was super fun! Crystal was fantastic. She returned my call quickly & when she found out it was a surprise, we did everything via text so my husband wouldn't know what I was planning. Whether you're a local or visiting the town, I highly recommend heading over to Ride Oside and hopping on one of their fun rides! read more

Everyone one at ride oside was helpful and friendly. Everything was explained to me extremely well. The bike gets me to and from work and saves me money on gas. Highly recommend to go down and look around. read more

This place and its owners were both amazing! I had a great time exploring around oceanside without having to deal with parking or traffic. Can go anywhere a bike can go, which gives you unlimited options in a beach town. They go about 20 mph on high setting, but can be dialed down to 8 mph if needed. Super easy to ride and they give you a quick safety course and instructions before you head out so everyone is informed. Well worth the price and the experience. read more

Came to Oceanside to visit our friend Casey and we saw everyone on these electrical bikes so we went to go check them out! So happy we did cuz they were totally worth it! We rode along the ocean to Carlsbad and back in a hour, which was a beautiful view. Crystal and her husband are awesome, great customer service. Go ride one:) read more

A PERFECT 10!!!! I had family visiting from out of state for one day only and had to figure out how to best show off our beautiful city! I had been wanting to check out Ride Oside for some time now and saw this as the perfect opportunity. We were able to cruise from Wisconson to the Harbor and everywhere in between though you can travel further if desired. Crystal and her husband are an amazing team! They provide helmets and a great safety lesson prior to you taking off on your own so that you feel very comfortable. It really was a perfect way to show off Oceanside read more

Four of us went to Ride Oceanside electric scooters yesterday. It took us over half an hour to fill out the required paperwork. Then another 10+ minutes for the training course. We were surprised there was insurance option to cover damage as is common when you rent a car or boat. If there is a scratch or damage you just have to pay out of your deposit. The big tire scooters were fun but clumsy to turn. Around the harbor was good but riding along the beach was weird because only the access at the North end was allowed by Ride Oceanside. This meant we had to ride illegally against one way traffic for a good stretch since really no bike lane. The manager was rude and we almost canceled before we got going based on his remarks. read more

What a great time my wife and I had cruising through Oceanside and Carlsbad on their electric scooters. The owner/operators were local and cool, helped us with everything you would need. Scooters were fast, probably go 30 mph or more. Nice Bluetooth speakers and light. We rode solid for two hours and only used less than half of battery life. Good prices too, I'll be doing it again soon. Also, they send you a pic via text of you on the scooters for free. Do it read more

My family and I had such a great experience here. The owners were fantastic and the scooters were beyond fun. We will DEFINITELY do this again when we are back in town. I recommend this to anyone who is looking for an exciting adventure read more

My husband and I rented scooters from Ride O'side. I was very nervous and asked to sit on one of the bikes before we rented. They made sure I was comfortable allowed me to try different bikes. They were great. Super friendly and attentive. My buddies and I were down in Oceanside for a Bachelor Party weekend and decided to check them out! The scooters were great, they even pulled out a brand new one for me with the hopes of it working better (I'm a bigger dude, 6'4 , 250 pounds) and it was excellent. We were all especially glad to show them our support and give them our business during the era of COVID. Overall, great experience with them and riding around Oceanside. read more

Such a fun and unique experience riding around Oceanside! Going 20mph was fast enough not to slow down cars on the road and also take in the beautiful scenery all around us! I would definitely recommend going and spending an hour or two on the bikes. If I lived in Oceanside, I would buy one as my preferred mode of transportation. The owners were so friendly and easy to talk to. They definitely made us feel safe before we left the property. read more

Ride Oside don't treat you like customers from our experience, they treat you like good old friends. Crystal went as far as offering a sweater on a cold afternoon for my girlfriend and they were super nice people. Everyone there had a good welcoming vibe and it was nice meeting such chill people. We were really happy on the time we were on the scooters we went far along the coast and enjoyed a nice sunset. If you're looking for a good time I highly recommend coming to Ride Oside! read more

From the moment we walked in we were met by Crystal the owner. She has an extremely positive attitude and assured us we would have a great time on the scooters. Her husband did an excellent job of explaining how to ride safely and gave us thorough instructions without leaving the parking lot. Once all our questions were answered, he led us to the intersection where the strand begins. The scooters are easy to ride and stable. I am 68 years old and had a blast! The 1 hour time is sufficient to ride the strand both ways and over to the harbor with a few minutes left over. Definitely will be back and might even buy one!! read more

The scooters are a blast (look like something out of Batman). Easy to ride...I wanted to buy one 10 minutes into the ride. Highly recommend for anyone local or visiting. We rode throughout the harbor, buzzed all over downtown Oceanside, and made our way into Carlsbad. We've also rented for large groups...too much fun! read more

Crystal and Teddy( the owners) of this shop are great! After countless hours reviewing E bikes online and at other local shops with little to no customer service I walked into their shop to find two of the friendliest and helpful people in the electric bike business. Not only did they take me on a test ride they explained the pro's and cons of different e bike features and pointed out that they only carry brands with a reputation for customer service and good warranties. After helping me make a decision they did not have the color and options I wanted in stock. I told them I really didn't want to wait for an ordered bike and wanted to call around to other EBC dealers in So-Cal to find one ready to go. They completely understood and wished me the best of luck finding what I wanted. I did find one at another shop, but after talking with a very rude owner that found out he had what I was looking for he added a $200 over retail fee for as he put it not having to wait. I was so put off by his attitude not to mention the 4 hours of driving to go there and back I decided to spend my money at Ride Oside. Not only did they order me the exact bike I wanted they only asked for 70% down until it arrived. They were extremely helpful and I was glad to support a local shop run by such caring and friendly people. Do yourself a favor and go see them before making the mistake of buying a junk bike or dealing with other people that only want your money with no concern for your satisfaction. read more

Our family of 6 rented these awesome fat tire electric scooters for two hours and had a total blast. We had two single scooters and two double rider scooters. After a thorough safety instruction by Teddy, including a guided ride to The Strand to make sure everyone was comfortable, we were on our way! We went to Carlsbad, had some ice cream, then cruised around Oceanside, including the Harbor. Crystal was so friendly and took some fun pictures of our family and texted to them us. My husband loved it so much he wanted to buy one on the spot! Too bad we live in Washington. read more

SOOO MUCH FUN!!! In all honesty, I wasn't sure if I'd like these scooters or not. I had friends in town from Texas and the 16 yr old wanted to rent scooters. I live in Carlsbad so this was close and convenient. We only rented for 1 hour, just to be sure it was fun and worth it. Well it was more than worth it. There were 4 of us, my friend, her 16 yr old and me and my 12 yr old son. My son and I rode on a 2 seater, they rode on their own. The scooters were super easy to ride and very stable. We could have easily rode for 2-3 hrs. 1 hour seemed to go way too fast. My 12 yr old was not excited, since he couldn't drive his own but in the end he said he had a blast and would do it again. I totally feel the same way. The owners were also very friendly and helpful. All around good people! Next time I'll rent for 2-3 hours so we can explore more area. If you couldn't tell from my review, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND RENTING THESE SCOOTERS!! FUN! FUN! FUN!!! read more
