We had a great time with the EV bikes. They had a limited supple but we got what we needed for a fun ride along the beach. The bikes are maintained so that there isn't a problem during your ride. My friend even purchased a bike and loves it! Great location for the bike shop. Only a few blocks away from the beach. We had a group of 4 of us. The Yelp coupon helped make it affordable for everyone to rent a bike. We spent a few hours riding and even stopped at a bar to watch a live band while sipping an overpriced margaritas. It's a family owned company. They're super sweet and very knowledgeable. They have a large selection of safe bikes and helmets The first time we rode we rented the leisure 3 wheeler because our littlest ones couldn't ride bikes yet. We took the bike path to sea legs on the beach. They rode in back and had a blast. We had such a good time that we ended up buying it. They don't usually sell the used ones at the beginning of summer but Tony the owner saw what smiles it put on our kids faces and wanted them to enjoy it all summer. We could fit our family of four on the whole bike. We had it for about two summers then we grew out of it and decided to get two of the scooters. One adult and kid on the back of each. I purchased a bike there about a year ago. Love the bike! It's fun to ride and saves us a ton of money (has more than paid for itself) on gas. The family here are super friendly and helpful. I've had some brake issues in the past and they fix it right away. Have since purchased accessories as well (2 helmets and a bike lock) and they've been super friendly every time. I was trying to find something fun for my wife and I to do on a Saturday at the beach. I grew up in Huntington but moved away for work and military. I miss the area as it has changed a lot. The new main street as well as the surrounding area is totally different than i remember it so many years ago. All the familiar places i knew as a kid are now sadly gone. I thought about renting bikes and just cruising the boardwalk area so I looked at yelp for some places i could rent from. EV Rideables was a new business and based on the two reviews I was not sure if it would be a good fit for me. What caught my eye was the fact that they rent electric bikes. I went on to their website and saw so many cool looking bikes. I saw the HOG and knew I wanted to ride that. I showed the wife the selection and she opted to try the mini HOG bike. I called on a Monday and spoke to the owner (sorry name escaped me) who was very friendly and gave me a rundown of all the rentals. I reserved to of the bikes for Saturday morning. Upon our arrival we me the son of the Family business who was great and gave us a great lowdown of the bikes. He even let us demo a few bikes to make sure it was what we wanted. They have a huge parking lot in the rear which allows first timers to try before they rent. We had a blast on the bikes and had so many people ask us about the bikes. We explained that they were rentals and where they could get them. It was an awesome day out and we cruised from the pier up to newport and back to bolsa chica beach. My HOG had plenty of power and seemed like I could do the whole ride over again on the original charge. Unfortunately my wifes Mini HOG died right at Dog Beach. I didnt have any rope to tow her back so I called up the shop and spoke to the son again (sorry again with the name) He said he would be right there to bring us a new charged bike!!!! Now that is Service !! My wife and I were so grateful for him helping us out to continue our day. We returned the bikes later and were able to use the parking lot which charges 15 bucks and not pay a dime because we were customers, another great perk, We here able to hang out in downtown HB and have a great day. I highly recommend EV Rideables to anyone else who wants to just cruise, they even have electric bikes you can peddle if you want some extra exercise. The prices were fair and they have a special with yelp which you can buy a 75 dollar credit with a 50 dollar coupon you can buy thru yelp. I plan to return in the near future and rent again. We have been dealing with these guys for 2 months now. We bought 2 scooters back in May. We took one that day and we had one shipped to our house. FIRST off it was supposed to go out 2 days after we went home. Never showed up had to call at least 5 times. We were told on two separate occasions it had been shipped. Not the case. Finally received it 3 weeks later Box damaged. Pulled it out of box, had to put some things together, ok No problem. Charged it, and of course it dosent work. So we call again, Tell them box damaged and scooter does not work, and then DOUG says, " Well it worked when it left the shop" Are you kidding me?? it was completely wrapped up in saran wrap and the original packaging, from China I'm guessing, NO One tried it before it left the shop. They lost credibility at that point for sure for that BS blow off. So then my husband sends a picture of it as DOUG asked and says they are shipping out the new part over night.....el, we are over a week now....and nothing. The owner is never there to take our calls, atleast thats what we are told by DOUG. They have our 300$ and we still have a non-working scooter. We bought 2 from them And our friends bought 2 from them that day as well! if you are the owner and you see this message .....it would be nice to talk to you!! read more

Came in on the 3rd of July to reserve some bikes Was told it's a deposit , I offered to pay deposit then was told don't worry about deposit to come early on the 4th So I did I was there at 7:30 am first one there to only be ignored by both employees and the told come back in few hours that weren't anything available for me ! We are on our honeymoon and searched high and low for an electric scooter rental place. We happened to stumble on this place and they were absolutely awesome!! They let us test ride the big hog and the smaller one. Of course they showed us how to use both. We went with the smaller and absolutely loved it. I had a few buddies in from AZ wanted to give them a tour of the coast on electric bikes down to Balboa for lunch and back, I've used Pedigo in the past without incident, but decided to try changing it up. Big mistake. One scooter battery went dead half way back and had to call for roadside assistance from Ryan. He blamed how my buddy drove the electric scooter for why the battery died... Say What?!? I guess I should have seen the red flag, when he bragged about how they will come Service your scooter if you have a problem, like it's a regular thing...! We have been here several times and each time was such a great experience. We rented e-bikes and tootled into Newport Beach and Balboa for lunch. We've also taken the bikes onto the river trail and had a blast. It's hard not to feel like a kid again on these bikes! The quality is good and they care. The first time we went there, they were so helpful and took their time explaining the various functions of the bike and how to use the varying degrees of pedal assist. We went back several more times for e-bike rentals and had nothing but great service. One time out, we had an issue with one of the bikes, but we called them and they bent over backwards to drive a new bike to us and took the other one away. Things happen, no biggie. What a fabulous experience. Tony and his staff (I think Ryan but forgot his name), were beyond helpful in getting us on the ideal ride and taking time to help us w thorough training. We have been looking for a way to get my 17 year old autistic son out on a safe beach ride and EV Rideables has a great 2 or 3 seater electric ride. It was safe and comfortable and I have not seen so much joy from my son in a while. It was affordable, clean safe and fun for all of us.
