Came back today to buy a third bike after my friend told me about the gnarly sale they were having. The deal was even better than what we had just gotten a couple weeks ago. I knew exactly what I wanted and Dorothy was quick to help. We bought the RadExpand 5 Plus in blue/grey. They included for FREE the bike rack valued at $500 and a FREE accessory. Couldn't pass that up. They told us the bike would be done in a couple hours. We went to lunch and got the call it was done maybe 1.5 hours later. Great experience. Awesome service. Can't complain.

    The perfect E-Bike

If you're in the market for an E-Bike look no further than Rad Power Bikes. After a ton of research I decided to stop in and explore my options. I was looking for an E-bike as a gift for my wife. They had an incredible selection to choose from and the entire staff was awesome and so helpful in assessing my needs and showing me the best options. They were professional, and polite, never pushy or trying to close a sale. After comparing a couple options they allowed me to test drive the one we determined was the best fit for my wife. I'm so incredibly grateful for their help and I left with the right bike and some really cool accessories. Everyone there was super cool and "rad"! This is the place to go!

We appreciate this store for the quality of Rad bikes and their accessories. Staff is very nice and knowledgeable. Expect to pay a couple hundred more than sticker price if you want to bring it home professionally built and want accessories like fenders, mirror, and wheel lock, etc... The back comes with a rack but you have option of adding a basket (front and/or back) and other attachments. We opted to not get baskets. The rack holds a backpack or violin with bungee straps. So our $1399 price tag was more like $1800+ with the build, mirror, fender and install, wheel lock, and second folding lock. It's a great bike (Rad Runner2). Daughter has been using daily for 2 months with no issues at all. Battery stays charged for like 2 weeks (or 1 + week if only using throttle no pedal 25 miles) before needing a recharge.

The crew at HB rad power bikes,is stellar! Helped me pick out a bike I can ride around with my son until he gets old enough to ride a E bike to keep up!!! I love the million ways you can customize these bikes to fit your needs so much value in the price!

Rad Mission-truly a game changer if you want to commute to work!

Was very interested in getting a commuter e bike and came here to do a test ride. We ride the Rad Mission and loved it! The throttle on the right allows you that extra energy to ride when coming from a complete stop. Handles and brakes well. It's the lightest of bikes and for about $800-900 depending on if you get other accessories. We were sold and purchased one online since none were in stock. Delivery was quick and installment easy. We also took it to a local bike shop for a brake adjustment just to make sure we installed it right! Took it for a practice run of my commute and it really is a game changer! Although I got exercise it didn't leave me sweating too much which is what I need for commuting purposes. Let's all start bike commuting!!! Thanks for making a quality and affordable and light e-bike!

They are only nice when selling. For repair, they will just turn you away. We were told to find another repair shop.

We went home with the RadExpand 5, and are totally stoked for this bike and hope to get a couple more this summer.

Five stars--hands down. Anyone who would give a negative rating must be the perfect sole-proprietor…read moreof a small business themselves with no bad days or just a pretentious silver spoon snob... anyways Kevin at HB Cycles is the real deal cyclist. I first rolled in over a year ago needing a derailleur adjustment and a crank. He guaranteed his work and adjusted it without charge when I messed it up a few weeks later... Over the year he has become not only my only singular bike mechanic but a genuine friend. He has helped me countless times; I cannot say enough good things about him and his skill sets. No up-sell, no attitude--just straight-up help. Hanging out in the shop or by talking with neighbors who have had the same experience; I've watched ( and heard via word of mouth) him do the same for half the neighborhood: local guys on cruisers, kids on e-bikes, I've even seen him give bikes away to those in need. Even those not in need but just dig bikes like myself lol He's patient, knows every bike like it's his own, and actually cares if you're out there pedaling instead of sitting on your couch. Actually every bike I've pointed out as being eye catching and visually stunning have been custom bikes built by Kevin the owner/operator. This place isn't just a shop--it's keeping Huntington Beach moving! Fresh air, sore legs, stupid grins--Kevin gets it. If you ride, go see him. You'll leave faster, happier, and confident that the best bike guy in town torqued your wheels down properly :)

An unfortunate decline in customer service and workmanship over the years, under new ownership…read more When guys like Tim, Elliott, and Cameron worked here, this was one of the best bike shop's around. Unfortunately, the new owner seems overworked, overwhelmed, and not all that interested in the customer service aspect. We used to take our bikes here for the whole family, and no matter the issue it would be resolved. Now, we are finding rude behavior from the owner, who seems to be the only one working there, and sloppy workmanship. We've recently brought in two bikes, both of which we paid to have repaired but the problems have not been resolved and the workmanship has been lacking professionalism. Twice now, we have been given back bikes with a DIY approach rather than a professional bike mechanic. If I want something jimmy-rigged together, I'll do it myself, not pay someone else to do it. And, when you ask the new owner about these things, he gets defensive and upset, and rather than addressing the issue, says he's too busy and pushes customers out the door. I hope to update this review someday with a change in attitude, but truthfully, I don't think we'll be going back. This very unfortunate for a local business that should be thriving on local and loyal customers. Be nice. Be kind. Be honest. It goes a long ways.
