Showed up on the day to rent bikes and they allowed us to try a few before deciding. The bikes could be in better condition, most of the fleet were showing significant wear. One of our e-bikes had low battery charge and even though someone was able to bike out to where we were to delivery another battery, the replacement was also low and wouldn't be enough for the time we rented. We also lost time waiting for the other battery. However, kudos to the staff and owner because they made it right for us when we returned the bikes. Spot has good staff and a great location. Refreshing the bikes with newer models would bump it to 5 stars.

I got two scoops, Rocky Road and pecan, both were delicious. They got really cool wooden Picnic tables too. On hot days especially, this place will be extremely popular. The owner is extremely cool. He mentioned that he's bringing back the Doheny Paddle Fest this summer too. He has a passion for thrifty ice cream, paddle boards, the community, Dana point, he's been in business for decades, I remember coming here as a teen. Additionally, The employees were all chill. At the moment, this is the only place that I know of that serves thrifty ice cream here in Orange County. So I was willing to pay a lot. - but didn't have to because all the prices were great. Not worthy, they did everything correctly, such as using the special thrifty brand scooper, wearing gloves, they had all the right cones. Multiple flavors too. It was all perfectly done. This was our first time renting a house through Newport Beach Rentals. Our family has been renting…read morewith various property managers for years in Newport Beach. Traci at the rental agency was very helpful at first. She explained the rental we picked was old and outdated but clean. She assured me of that twice. When our extended family of 19 arrived at our house, we were shocked at the filthy conditions of the house. Hair in the downstairs refrigerator, filthy on the outside of both upstairs and downstairs refrigerators. Stove upstairs covered in grease and food. Upstairs dishwasher filled with 2 inches of very gross smelling stagnant water. Bathtubs so dirty we had to put beach towels in them to bathe the babies. The downstairs bedrooms smell very damp and like cat pee. I called the property manager Traci immediately before we even got unpacked. She agreed to send the cleaning lady over the next morning. The lady came with an attitude, didn't seem to think much was wrong. Took one swipe at the kitchen counter, sprayed some bleach spray in toilets and snuck out within 15 minutes without going downstairs. I reported it to Traci, but never heard from them again. We really didn't have a choice but to stay, so made the most of it. We actually left the house cleaner than we found it! A week after returning home, we received our deposit check,minus the cleaning deposit which I thought was pretty bold since the place was a disaster. My attempts at talking with anyone at Newport Beach rentals have been in vain. The address of this particular home is 124 28th street units A and B. **DONT rent this house!

Nice young lady took my information, verified my C card, and pulled out a tank, wetsuit, buoyancy compensator, wetsuit, weights, and regulator for me. Tried on the wetsuit and placed the weights into the bc, paid the $65 for the rental and loaded it all up into my car. Fairly quick and easy. Made my dive, returned the rental equipment, and was on my way. I'll be back the next time I need to rent dive gear.

I have no idea why it took so much longer than expected. No one from the Dana Point location ever called me about a delay or offered an explanation. Take your business to the Laguna Beach location...the staff at the Dana Point location haven't a clue.

Mike was fantastic--super knowledgeable and passionate about what he does. He gave a thorough lesson on land, making sure my daughter was comfortable before hitting the water. I hear her saying..."he was such a good instructor" right now. What really stood out was the extra care he provided. He had a shaded tent set up for us with water and fresh fruit, which was such a thoughtful touch. I brought my new 300 for it's first service and the owner told me he couldn't work on my scooter and to come pick it up because I asked him what type of oil did he plan to use for the service. This guy is extremely rude and doesn't want to hear any opinion other than his own. I'm a petroleum engineer so oil is kind of my thing and for me to ask such a basic question and be asked to pick up the scooter after I dropped it off without working on it is why you can read so many poor reviews from so many people.
