I was told a quick response time, maybe 2-3 days. 8 days go by with no updates. I called yesterday and they didn't say anything about the splice wire, just recommended a new controller, which they don't have in stock. I had someone pick up the bike today and the shop forget to attach my old controller back on the bike, they didn't even have the controller with the bike so I have to go back and get it. This shop is just a joke. No communication on when projects will be completed, mechanic appears to only work on weekends. I never once got a phone call from them with updates. Then they forget to include my controller when I pick it up. Super unorganized company with no accountability towards servicing customers like you would get anywhere else.

Showed up on the day to rent bikes and they allowed us to try a few before deciding. The bikes could be in better condition, most of the fleet were showing significant wear. One of our e-bikes had low battery charge and even though someone was able to bike out to where we were to delivery another battery, the replacement was also low and wouldn't be enough for the time we rented. We also lost time waiting for the other battery. However, kudos to the staff and owner because they made it right for us when we returned the bikes. Spot has good staff and a great location. Refreshing the bikes with newer models would bump it to 5 stars.

I'm on the petite side about 5'3" and some frames were a bit large for me so he showed us the Lectric XP-4 Step -Through. Perfect bike for me and Laguna's hills. It also folds!!!! He also had the company ship us the parts that weren't in the store but came with the bike. Ex. Top Tube bag etc. They do have other brands besides Lectric. Complete indifference to a problem he helped create…read more My experience similar to many below. Called twice before I went to see if he could help me with a bad tube in my fat tire bike. No one answered. When we bought a few hundred dollars of accessories from him for our e bikes he expressed his disdain for fat tire bikes. Since I could get to Kevin's shop with my slow leak I went there. He was just sitting staring at a computer screen. He looked at my bike, made it clear he didn't like it, and said he would check the valve stem. In the process he greatly worsened the crack and the tire lost all air. He attempted to fill it but it wouldn't accept any air. Left with the prospect of pushing my bike home I asked him if he would order the tube (said he doesn't carry fat tire tubes). He said he didn't want to and if he did, it would be at least a week and a half to get to fixing a flat tire. Should he have said if he touched the tube it could lose all the air and be unrideable, I think so. Since he was trying to help me am I ok with what happened. Yes. Not at all ok with him watching me push my bike up the steep hill behind his shop after he let the air out of the tire. This to a local who has spent a few hundred dollars there.

Of course, electric bikes have changed the game and really made this a full on touring experience if you want it to be that way. They also have regular beach cruisers too, if that is more your style. The path is relatively flat and paved, so it's super easy either way. We've taken the whole crew on multiple rides down to Dana Point harbor, and Doheny State Beach. You can also ride south to the San Clemente Pier (pictured). The rental prices were reasonable and not too expensive. Staff was responsive and reasonably friendly. Overall it's a very entertaining afternoon activity, especially when the weather is nice.
