I'm on the petite side about 5'3" and some frames were a bit large for me so he showed us the Lectric XP-4 Step -Through. Perfect bike for me and Laguna's hills. It also folds!!!! He also had the company ship us the parts that weren't in the store but came with the bike. Ex. Top Tube bag etc. They do have other brands besides Lectric. Nice looking bike shop. I have an 11y/o special needs child who loves tandem or cargo bikes. Called early in the morning asking to reserve a bike and the guy said they have cargo bikes. I said well would we be fine if we came in to rent in a few hours and he said it would be okay. Nic picked out bikes for my grown kids and me (my kids went with the medium width tires and I got the big fat tires!), showed us how to use the bikes, and gave us an idea of where to go, including a map! We rode to San Clemente, had lunch at a cute pizza place, then rode back. We met Shawn, the owner of Synaptic Cycle, after the ride, and he is a pleasure. These guys saved me on a Sunday late afternoon when I had a flat and all other bike shops were closed. I had already tried my spare tube and it pinched so was about to walk down the hill as Uber with a bike is tricky but fortunately got a recommendation from a local hardware store to find this place. So glad I did. Not only were they open but they welcomed this tired biker and performed my repair of the repair I tried (pinched tube). They also sold me a replacement tube and CO2 cartridge so I could feel confident on the ride home. Looks like a great shop with a ton of modern rentals. Can't thank these guys enough.
