So thankful to have discovered them. I was on a 'bucket list' bike ride up the California Coastline! I started to panic when I was hearing some awhile sounds coming from my rear wheel/gears. They essentially diagnosed an issue I was having with my bike & got me back on the road - at no charge at all! This is what small business is all about. I took my new Tazer in needing a new derailleur & an issue with my free wheel. Before my bike was even out of my hands a mechanic was looking at it. By the time the new part was ordered the mystery free wheel issue was resolved. What a gem of a shop! Called in looking to replace the shifter cable on my mountain bike. They replaced my shifter cable, adjusted my derailleur, and adjusted the suspension for me in 20 minutes. All this for an extremely fair price. Other shops were quoting me at least 3 days to get this service done! I will 100% be back. read more

Yesterday I would of given them a one star rating. I took my RadCity bike because of a flat tire and decided to have them also to do a full maintenance on it which included cleaning my chain mechanism. I was able to pick it up yesterday which was 9 days later and understandable because the bike shops are busy and plus parts are hard to come by. Thinking my bill would be around $150 maybe a bit more. The cost was $235. I took a ride this morning and in certain gears it was slipping so returned it back this morning. Shawn the manager took my bike in and when I called back later he informed me that the 7 speed free wheel should of been replaced with the chain needles to say this part couldn't be found and it would of cost me even more. After awhile I went in mad/upset but just stated the facts of if this is true why didn't they replace it or why didn't they even call me about all the added cost? Well after understanding me he in turn gave me a $70 credit back and used and 8 speed free wheel and discontinued the 8th one so that I could have my bike back without waiting for a part that could of taken a month. This is my local bike shop and I don't plan to change that. These guys know their stuff and are super friendly and reasonable. They usually have the best stock of higher end mountain bikes and parts to match. Sean, Bill and Eric are always helpful and work with each customer to make sure you are stoked out when you walk out that door. I've now purchased 2 bikes from here and a plethora of parts over the years. I also bring my bikes here anytime they need service that's beyond my mechanical abilities. Rebuilding dropper posts, wheel trueing, etc, they got you covered. Definitely stop in for anything mountain bike and you won't be sorry! read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have no idea how they have good reviews because some of these guys are complete jerks. Just flat-out, in-your-face rude people. Possibly they're paying people to write reviews?? Anyways... a few months ago I bought an e-Bike and brought it in to their shop in Dana Point to have my brakes serviced. Before I came in, I called and asked an estimate. A man told me $25. I brought the bike in the next day and said in addition to the brakes, if they could just see if there's anything wrong but please don't fix it - more so a general glance over to make sure nothing is crazy wrong. I figured it wouldn't be too expensive to add that. The guy at the shop told me Tuesday. I dropped it off on a Friday. I called the next Monday afternoon and asked what time on Tuesday it should be done. The man I spoke with was EXTREMELYYY rude to me. I thought I was trippin because of how rude this guy was - for literally no reason. He also quoted me two different prices than what I was first told, each one higher in value than the last. He ended up saying $75 and I said "woah woah. I was told $25 for brakes and all I asked in addition was for a simple glance over to see if anything else is wrong. How it that $50?" And he went on to tell me they did lotsss of repairs to my bike because it was messed up. I asked him "why did you guys do stuff to my bike when I didn't ask you to? I'm not paying for something I didn't ask for..." He kept changing his story every time I asked what exactly was done to my bike - "I don't know what was done" or "nothing was done" or "we did a lot of things." Every time a different answer. This guy kept cutting me off, talking to me in a really aggressive tone, and also not giving me a straight-forward answer on what was done to my bike and when it would be ready. Eventually I hung up on him because of how rude he was being. I called back and immediately asked for the owner - whoever I spoke to tried to avoid giving me the owner's contact info but I said that's all I needed. The store called me back about 30-45 min later and "apologized" and "explained what the mishap was." They ended up performing all of these fixes on my bike that I NEVER ASKED FOR. But they still only charged me $25 because they were in the wrong. I contacted the owner by email but he never responded to me. The main reason I'm writing this is because now, months after my experience, I find out my roomate's boyfriend had the EXACT same experience with these people a few days ago. What's even worse is the man he spoke to cursed at him and hung up on him - all because they were doing things to his bike he never asked for and they were 3 weeks behind his original pickup date. I wasn't there when he went to pickup his bike, but apparently most of the people there were trying to defend the man's actions and they still charged him for the work he never asked for. Complete lack of customer service. Complete lack of communication with themselves and customers. This place is ridiculous and I'm not sure why there aren't more negative reviews on here because it can't be a coincidence that it only happened to me and my friend. I love supporting local businesses. I live around the corner from this place. But I will never recommend this place to anyone because of how poorly you all seem to treat those who ask questions or won't pay for something they didn't request. Do better. read more

This is an awesome bike shop. Brian in the maintenance department is top notch and from what I have seen all of their mechanics are incredible. Taken my bike's there multiple times and had the issues fixed right away. They do this crazy thing there and actually ride around on your bike and test it to make sure they fixed the issue. Crazy! If you have been burned multiple times by other bigger name chain bike stores in South OC like I have, do yourself a favor and go here for your next tuneup. read more

I called Tuesday took my bike in on Saturday to replace a cable, they fixed the cable AND put the upside down back to front brake pads in correctly and fixed my brake hoods so they are horizontal. Very cool place! It's so nice to go to a bike shop and talk to people that know their stuff. The last two nearby shops I went to didn't have anything in stock and would have had to order it or they had no idea what I was talking about. I'm not that technical of a person, but if I can stump a mechanic you know something is wrong. I was pleasantly surprised that they had all the basic things I needed in stock here, i.e. Brake pads, chain, cassette etc. and more so that they dialed my bike in on the spot. I hate to bash other shops, but it would have been at least a week there which in bicycle years is an eternity. Thanks for the help and you have a customer for life. Keep up the good work. read more
