About one year and half ago I bought a Trustmade e bike from powerhouse for $1,000. About three months ago the bike stopped working. I was unable to power the bike. I called Powerhouse and told them about the problem. I was more than happy to pay for the repair. They informed me that there was nothing they could do. They said I would have to contact the manufacturer, order the part that needed replacing and take it to a shop that does repairs to fix it. Basically it was my problem to deal with. I emailed the manufacturer numerous times. I got no response. I tried calling them at various numbers I found on the internet and I couldn't get a hold of anyone. I left messages and no one responded. So I basically bought a bike for $1,000 that lasted 18 months. Like I said the staff were friendly and the price was reasonable. But in retrospect I should have bought the bike from a store that offers some kind of support and help when things go wrong. If you buy a bike from here just know that if anything goes wrong you're on your own.

Several of the bikes had different issues, including unusual noises while riding and pedaling, rough shifting, worn-out handlebar tape, and loud disc brakes. I couldn't even determine where some of the noises were coming from. Juan carefully inspected every bike, performed complete tune-ups, identified the sources of the noises, and made all the necessary adjustments and repairs. After the service, all five bikes ride smoothly and feel like new again. The shop usually needs a couple of days to complete the work, which is completely reasonable considering the care and attention given to each bike. The prices are also very reasonable. I highly recommend CyclePro and Juan to anyone looking for an experienced, honest, and trustworthy bicycle mechanic!

Better communication and clearer documentation of the requested service would have avoided this misunderstanding. Unfortunately, I left feeling that I paid $200 without receiving the service I was actually seeking. That review is factual, fair, and difficult for the business to dismiss. If the owner after reading the review contacts me and offers to refund part of the $200, I would consider accepting it and updating the review to reflect that they made an effort to resolve the issue. Businesses that respond constructively deserve credit for that, even if the original experience was disappointing.
