It's truly tough when navigating through uncharted territory with parents. I found this store randomly after searching online and was happy to see their inventory selection when I walked in. I was also given a recommendation to someone who was willing to come from Costa Mesa to put bars in my mom's bathroom. Amazon is great but being able to walk in and test the items is invaluable. I highly recommend. You may pay a bit more but let's support these smaller establishments that value their clientele. read more

We rented a lightweight wheelchair for a vacation. The staff couldn't be nicer and the equipment was wonderful and the cost was extremely reasonable. Would recommend this business! read more

We just had another great visit to Adapt2it in Laguna Hills. Every time I go in this store I am treated with sincere kindness and all of the staff are very helpful. This time, Adrian (Store Mgr) helped me get everything I was looking for in regard to my mother. He also suggested some other items that I honestly did not consider that we really needed, but that helped us to find solutions for other issues. He was extremely patient and friendly. Thank you, Adrian! Stephen S. read more

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! When my husband broke his leg, I had no idea where to turn for the medical supplies we suddenly needed. I am beyond grateful that I found Get Used 2 It on El Toro Road. From the moment I walked in, I felt cared for and supported. Leslie, the owner, is absolutely dedicated to helping people in need. You can tell right away that this business is her passion, not just a job. She truly goes above and beyond for her customers and makes what could be a stressful situation feel manageable. Adrian was fantastic as well--so knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He walked me through all the options and helped me find exactly what I needed without feeling overwhelmed. His expertise and caring attitude made all the difference during a tough time. This store is a real gem in our community. If you ever find yourself needing medical supplies, don't waste time anywhere else--come here. You'll leave with not just what you need, but also peace of mind. Thank you, Leslie and Adrian, for everything you do! read more

Well, I found their listing on yelp and they have two listings on yelp one for Laguna Hills and one for Newport and I was calling for the Newport one. I was ready to drop up to $1000 on a wheelchair today for my mother and these people haven't updated their listing on yelp Google or Apple Maps and when I called them and explain to them that they need to fix it they Leslie me that was insulting. And I explained to her I'm not trying to insult you. I'm trying to help your business out because I myself rent a business and it's not hard to contact Yelp or I found their Newport listing and update the address. It literally takes five minutes or less.. and I was being very frank with her explaining to her that I'm not trying to give her bad reviews. I'm trying to help her out and it's aggravating because it's a Friday and I'm at work and I sent my disabled parents to go over there and they were very upset and my mom had a stroke not recommended! read more

Before buying medical equipment you'll only need for a short time, check Adapt 2 It. I was able to rent a knee scooter while recovering from achilles surgery. The staff was helpful and accommodation, and rental fees were fair. It's definitely worth checking at Adapt 2 It before going to the expense of purchasing something you may not need later. read more

My mom lost a handle/screw to her walker and I brought another one I removed to get the exact replacement part and they found one and charged me zero. I can tell you this will be the first place I go to when I need medical equipment. read more

We recently went to Adapt 2 it to shop for a walker for my mom. These are the important points: 1. Great selection 2. Expert in assessing my mom's needs 3. Fast delivery My mom is only 5 ft tall 105 lbs and she has Parkinson's. Adrian quickly figured out which walker would be suitable for my mom and explained the features of the walkers for us. If we had try to purchase one from Amazon, we wouldn't be able to get the exact model that my mom needs. We got a solid walker that's easy to operate. read more

My husband was desperate. He had open heart surgery and couldn't sleep for over a month. He decided he needed a lift chair, with zero gravity w dual head and foot controls. My mom referred us to Adapt 2 in Laguna Woods because she rented a chair after her knee surgery. Lori helped him find the perfect chair for his height & weight and went out of her way to have delivery done today when originally delivery was supposed to be Monday! Lori and Adapt 2 provided excellent customer service. My husband will get his sleep tonight every night over the next month to aid in his rehabilitation and healing. Thank you Adapt 2! read more

I was in a pickle and needed a device to help me with my broken foot while supporting my kids at a huge swim meet. I found a knee scooter that could get me around the venue to make everything less stressful, and it was a lifesaver. When renting the item, it was a really easy process, as was the return. If you end up hurt, and need to rent an assistance item this is definitely good place to go. read more

CHECK Amazon first!!! Just took my wife to buy compression socks form a little surgery. I paid over $100.00 My wife put them on after a few hours the started coming down on her leg. Brought the back and the exchanged them. My wife put on the second pair and did the same thing. Found a pair on Amazon for $43.00 with a ribbed lining which held up the stocking. Called the store speaking to a very unhelpful person who refused to refund. After a while she said to come in and talk lol. Why come in either you give me me a refund or not .. what she sounded like she wasn't going to refund so she put me on hold for over 20 minutes till I hung up. Looking on Amazon again, the stockings that she sold me only cost $23.00 So that means they must of paid around $10.00 ( my guess). What a mark up .. This is what I get for supporting local business and not going to amazon.. Looked on Amazon was $43.00 tomorrow delivery. There cost must've been around $25.00 or less with no return policy. This place has a huge mark up . Thief's if you ask me read more

Steve and Butch are great! They built a sturdy custom ramp for my mom at a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend Adapt 2 It for your medical supply needs! read more

Helpful, courteous and friendly place. They were also $10 less than another local medical supply shop.

I went into this store looking for a certain type of screw for my 97 year old Grandma's walker. They told me they had several different types and I had to bring the walker in before they would sell me the screw. I explained to them that I was more than willing to pay for several different types of screws but they still refused to sell me the screws. I believe they wanted me to bring it in so they could sell her a better walker. Will not go back to them, for anything. This is the second time this store has disappointed me, their service stinks! Beware.....go somewhere else, they are not the only game in town. So much for supporting local businesses. read more

I was referred to this place from Villa Valencia Skilled Nursing as my mother needed an item they carried. Because I work in Newport Beach until 5pm, I wasn't sure I could get there in time. I arrived right before they closed, but they were kind enough to stay open and help me find exactly what I was looking for. While it may have just seemed like a small sale at the end of a long day, I was able to take the item to my mother a day early and for this I am grateful. I will be back for any other items that my mother needs. Thank you! read more

Just called this place to ask some questions about wheelchairs, when they picked up they immediately put me on hold. I understand it can get busy so I listened to the hold music for a couple minutes. Then they picked up again and I could hear them talking to someone and then they hung up the phone on me. Terrible customer service from the start. Can't recommend them. read more

I recently needed to be fitted with new compression clothing and was referred to Adapt 2 It by my physical therapist at Saddleback Memorial. Fortunately, once there in person, Leslie spent considerable time with me in making sure we had just the right size & set up. She is delightful, by the way with no sense of oversell. I noticed another reviewer mentioned the store as being cluttered. Well, I guess it's in the eyes of the beholder/customer. Were there nice long sleek shelves and wide aisles with little inventory to choose from, that might fill the bill for a jewelry store or fashion boutiques. With medical needs, however, having inventory on hand may give the image of being full but it also can add considerably to your selection and possibly save you a return trip or two, not to mention cutting time for those of us in pain since you're going home with whatever it is you need that day. Btw, honest, no one asked me to give this review. I just think Adapt 2 It deserves it and would hate to see a couple of bad reviews stop anyone from giving them a visit ! Asked for compression stockings. Described exactly what I wanted--20-30 open-toe compression stockings that go around your waist. The owner, I later learned, seemed really... confused. About everything. Then she measured the circumference of my ankle, walked over to the JOBST wall, and picked a pair of 10-15 thigh-highs to hand to me. I restated that I wanted open-toed stockings 20-30mm. She stared at and consulted with the wall for a really long time even though it was already obvious that there weren't any stockings at all. Still confused, she asked me if I wanted to order them to the store, so I said yes. At this point it's after hours, registers closed, which also seemed confusing to her, so she wrote my name, number, and order down and said she would do it on Monday. Monday came and went. I called on Wednesday to ask about my stockings. It wasn't surprising that nobody knew what I was talking about. Thank you, next. read more

The store's unconscionable prize gouging especially on masks at this time of crisis is totally disgusting and morally reprehensible. Leslie quoted me $83 .00 for a box of 50 mask. I told her that they were costing about 18$ on line and she said yeah but you are going to pay 200$ for shipping. They should not be in the business of selling medical supplies. What a disgrace especially to the Senior community they are supposed to be serving. read more

Tired folks. Cluttered. All sales final and watch out If you make error. They will not explain why all sales final on stock items. For a place that is supposed to help one "Adapt 2 it" and live with debilitating diseases, this place is hostile and unwelcoming to say the least. Leslie, one of the owners, is the most atrocious and repulsive person that my family has ever come in contact with on our journey of helping my mom adapt to her life with ALS. Leslie is callous, unsympathetic, inpatient, heartless, and discourteous. I could use many other negative terms, but we will leave it at that. Additionally, all of the employees are just downright awful, except for Butch. He is kind and always willing to go out of his way to problem solve. However, it does not make up for the lack of professionalism and customer service of all the others. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere as they are not deserving of staying in this field of helping others who are living with debilitating conditions. read more

12/2019. I had a very positive experience at Adapt To It. Was assisted by "Butch" at store who took time to explain story's policies and helped me choose appropriate equipment. I was desperate to find ankle and leg braces to assist me with drop foot and polyneuropathy. The hospital had given me metal supports that were so uncomfortable that I could not even wear them. Then I discovered Adapt 2 It in Laguna Woods. Not only did they have braces that were light weight but comfortable and lifted my feet so that I would not trip with drop foot. Adapt 2 It is the only store that I have found to carry these European made braces. Leslie and her staff were wonderful in assisting me and adjusting the straps so they fit me exactly. I can not say enough about their great service. I now live by the motto of this medical supply provider: "If you can not change it, adapt 2 it". read more

We accidentally found this Gem of a store!! I am disabled and I had a manual wheelchair, but as my condition was making my body deteriorated faster then the insurance would allow me to get a new chair. I was stuck being a prisoner of my own home because I couldn't push my chair anymore. My husband and I stumbled on this shop, from the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like family. They answered ALL of my questions and helped me not only get a powered wheelchair that was PERFECT for me but also a special brace for my foot!! The owner, Leslie, is so sweet, but so are the entire staff. If you are looking for ANYTHING to help get you or a family member medical supplies, mobility aids, anything.... Love this place! It's next door to Starbucks off El Toro. Make a left BEFORE you see the SBUX if traveling away from the 5 fwy otherwise u head into Leisure World and turning around is a PITA. I needed a waterproof boot thingy to cover my leg after surgery. My insurance said to use a trash bag and rubber band. HA! My insurance claimed they had never heard of a waterproof cover for casts on arms or legs so they tried not to pay for it. After I called, the dude who answered knew exactly what I needed and knew that if my doctor wrote a prescription for what I needed, they did not have to charge me sales tax, PLUS they accept Medical/Flexible spending (FSA) cards. So you can use your FSA card if your employers Ins provides them, meaning ZERO out of pocket, TAX FREE purchases and, in my case, my insurance has to reimburse me for the full cost I paid. Nice place to rent a scooter if grandma needs a break for DisneyLand. It's a lifesaver so grammy doesn't have to walk in/out of the par read more

I've been a customer for a long time getting something here and there. Went in December 31, 2020 to get a box of disposable masks. While there, an employee was not properly wearing his mask, the counter wasn't sanitized after customer in front of me, and when I asked for signature screen to be cleaned before signing with my finger (it was filthy) the employee and his counterpart laughed. Also the screen was so wet I just scribbled something and left. Won't be going back anymore. read more
