Amazing place and service! We were in desperate need of a wheelchair for my 7-year old after he fractured his leg so he could return to school. Our insurance was taking too long to get us one so after a few searches, homedical came up as the closest place to me so I stopped by and luckily they had a child wheelchair for me. The WORST unprofessional service. My sons diapers are ALWAYS late. I have called the last couple of times to remind them to send my sons diapers on time and somehow they are never on time. I was told they are supposed to be shipped on the 12th of each month by the lady in charge of diapers. (Confirmed by Herb) This month, I called on Monday, April 17, 2023 to remind them once again. It is Friday, April 21, 2023 and there was NO DIAPER DELIVERY this week. I am beyond frustrated. Herb has been kind but this needs to be fixed ASAP. Even with my calls and reminders, they fail to send them. Every single month I am having to buy my son diapers out of pocket. Diapers that barely fit him due to his age & size. I understand there is some delays at times, but every single month? Unbelievable. Whoever is in charge of my sons diaper order is absolutely terrible at her job. It is not my job to be calling multiple times a week in order for the diapers to be sent. I have been very patient since my son has been receiving diapers from them for a long time. I have mixed reactions about this place, which I thought was an outlet to purchase medical items but it turned out to basically be an office that horded medical supplies. Nothing is for sale, it's all through insurance companies, so the pictures posted her are completely useless. I hired a guy to pick up supplies, and he told me they only accept insurance and the office looked messy. The lady working there didn't expect anyone to show up, and it took 10 minutes to get a key to open the front door. She asked him if he had insurance (he wasn't hired to share his insurance) so he told her no and left. This was a big waste of time, make it clear that you only deal with insurance instead of pretending you sell these items. Nothing is for sale here, this is a 'Shipping and Receiving' place for an insurance company. Meaning you have to apply for insurance (don't know which, don't care to promote it) and after you qualify this is the place that delivers your goods to your front door, it's not a store. No wonder they don't even have a website. read more

God/Jesus USED Joe from Homemedical, to really Go On and Above to obtain (on phone, getting auth. talking to whom he needed to get this for my mom) My Mom's Blood Pressure Monitor *THAT CAN DETECT AFib.. THANK GOT WE RECEIVED YESTERDAY.. (It took a few weeks [was not urgent to obtain & we were patient to wait] BUT WE RECEIVED IT! *Thank God for Joe for REALLY going above & beyond to obtaining this BP Monitor w/AFib indicator for my mom. (My mom has had 7 heart procedure, & PRAISE JESUS she is doing better! BUT Dr. wanted for my mom to have this BP Monitor w/AFib indicator because every so often I need to be checking her BP ect. I am a bit sad to have to write a poor review because for the most part everyone I have spoken to here when I have called (numerous times every month) over the 2024 year has been kind. Unfortuantely they were extremely unreliable when it came to my sons monthly incontinence order. Every month required numerous calls to ask if/when they would be shipped. Every month there were different reasons/excuses for the delay. My favorite being our company card has been compromised so we havet to wait for a new one. It did start to feel condenscending when I would call for the 5th time in a week and be told, "don't worry mom, we got you." My son is special needs and 13 so delays made things difficult since he is too big for typical store pull ups and too small for the adult incontience products. If you need something "one off" they seem great but if you need to rely on a monthly shipment.....don't hold your breath. read more

Let me start with the positive: I got to know four great individuals here. Now, unfortunately, the negative. This past week or so, our doctor's office faxed a reauthroization to Homedical's listed fax number. Supplied never arrived, so I called Homedical and learned they never received the fax. According to our doctor's office, the fax had been sent. Doctor's office had the day and time it was sent and the correct number (from the fax receipt). Then I walked there, physically stood in the Homedical office, and demanded they call our doctor's office right now and find out who doesn't know how to fax. So I stood and overheard, Homedical's side helpfully dictated to the doctor's office exactly what should have been in order and stayed on the line while the doctor's office faxed it (again...!) and I saw it show up on Homedical's printer. They checked out what they received and told me everything would be fine. I left. Supplies arrived with errors. (One item wrong size, the other item missing.) I called Homedical. Now I was told the order from my doctor's office was wrong - N.B., this is the order they dictated to my doctor's office on the phone, and they knew what the supplies should have been. But oh well, the order Homedical asked for was wrong. Now I was told Homedical could do nothing more to solve that problem. I was told the solution was to hang up and speak to my doctor's office and have a corrected order sent. Send the order for the third time, I asked? She was serious. Unfortunately this story, or a variation of it, played out like clockwork year after year while I tried to get my son's supplies through Homedical. The order was a standing order. It was the same items across the years, changing only the size very occasionally as my son grew. It always took a half-dozen phone calls to make the order happen correctly, year after year. I am telling it on Yelp now because I am tired of the, I'm sorry to say, perpertual incompetence. During these years Homedical hired two additional, nice staff members but getting up to competence just never happened yet. Today I am checking if my doctor's office route this order somewhere else besides Homedical, if they can. Or if they can't, then I feel like my last recourse is to just start telling Yelp what happens each time it happens, in which case, I expect by now that I'll be coming back here to post more of these incompetence stories. Until things improve, but when? EDIT: I got a call from my doctor's office just now, because Homedical had reached out to them seeking to solve the problem. I have nothing but issues with his company. I have a baby on oxygen and need supplies delivered in a timely matter. Herb has insulted my pediatrician by calling she and her staff idiots. Then he does not come through with supplies when I need them. I had a different company before and never had a problem. They made life with oxygen so much easier. When I ask for supplies like cannulas he always says ok tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and no cannulas. I had to wait over a week to get the dots that you need to secure the cannula. He acted like he had no idea why I would need those. I have had to order supplies from Amazon since I can't depend on this company coming through with supplies. Hoping I can find another company that takes my babies insurance since this company is terrible. read more

Update Review: 8/8/19- Can this medical supply company get any worse!?! First of all again, you are a medical supply company whom delivers items like post ox that monitors my daughter daily heart rate and o2. Under her insurance, you guys can't even stock or deliver them on time on a monthly basis. She been wearing the same post ox for 3 weeks now. On top of that I called earlier this week, exactly 3 days ago and spoken to Jackie. She told me that my daughter diapers/pads/liners/wound care/post ox will be delivered next day. It's Thursday and I haven't receive anything. I talked to Jackie today, around lunch she told me things will be delivered today. As of 616pm still nothing! I even called around 4pm and told them since I lived in a very gated community in which you can't even get onto the elevator without a key fob you will need to be here by 6 so leasing can let you in, did they do that!?! Hell no! So again this medical supply company should be shut down! My daughter hospital Choc is already well aware of all the screw ups you guys have done to my daughter and they informed me that they will avoid referring you as a vendor to there customer. I will also file a complaint with the city as you as a company need to be shut the hell down!!! Worst, worst supply company I had dealt with. My daughter gets monthly her Pulmonary and diapers supplies. We only been with the company for less then 3 months and they are constantly not sending what we need. We used Homemedical for my daughters diapers...until all of a sudden we realized we weren't getting shipments anymore. I called them the morning of July 3 (when everyone was anxious to get home early to get ready to celebrate the 4th) because I desperately needed a hospital bed and oxygen for my mother at her home THAT DAY. They jumped through hoops to make it happen and I was so relieved! They were also professional and friendly at all times. Before i got my vpap. I was struggling to take a breath. And i was sleeping but i would stop breathing like 4 or 5 or in one ihour. But the first night i used my vpap. I woke up and i could actually breath all day. And not struggling. And i love it very much. And home medical got me my vpap in less then a week. They were excellent.
