My experience with O2 Relief - Oxygen Concentrators in Irvine has been incredibly frustrating. It's been almost two weeks, and we've made absolutely no progress. Our doctor's office referred us to this location and told us everything should be straightforward and that we'd be good to go. Unfortunately, that has not been the case at all. Instead of helping move things forward, O2 Relief keeps pointing the finger back at the doctor's office. Meanwhile, we're stuck in the middle with no clear answers and no sense of urgency. When you're dealing with medical equipment, delays and lack of communication are simply unacceptable. Customer service from has been extremely disappointing. We haven't felt supported, informed, or prioritized at any point during this process. Overall, this has been a stressful and frustrating experience. I was sent home from the hospital requiring 24/7 oxygen. The vendor the hospital contracted was horrible. They were late on delivery, no communication and difficult to reorder my needed oxygen tanks. Thankfully, my cancer-coordinator helped me get a referral to replace them with O2 Relief! From the first email to our in-person visit to their showroom near HMart in Irvine, Issa was professional, prompt and patience to explain the many features of both in-home and portable oxygen concentrator units. This is a great store to consider your options for oxygen concentrators and similar products. I found this store helping a friend secure a short-term O2 rental while portable oxygen tanks were being authorized and delivered. They had portable oxygen concentrators available for rental and while very expensive, they do have a kind of deal that if you end up purchasing a refurbished concentrator, they could apply the cost of the rental to the purchase. Unfortunately, we really needed a unit with continuous airflow (not bursts), so we had to return it. Everyone we talked to on the phone and in the store were courteous, patient, extremely knowledgeable and kind. I didn't realize how complicated it could be to get portable oxygen authorized and delivered and you can be put in a bind. In that case, I wouldn't think twice to give 02 relief a call. I began looking into purchasing a portable concentrator in order to begin to live without the need to drag a tank of oxygen to leave my home. After researching the pros and cons of the several available units, I listed the top 5 units that were available. I visited both local and on-line business and noted who had their own service and location. When I visited O2 Relief, I found a well equipped show room, straight talk and they agreed to my conclusions. The owner of O2 Relief answered all of my questions and seemed to have a great deal of information that was consistent to my research. I chose the Inogen One G5 and was very pleased. The unit I purchased developed a problem. After a quick service call, it appeared the adjustment did the trick. ... Wrong! A week later, the problem popped up again. When I took the unit back the owner replaced the entire concentrator with a brand new unit without my asking. YES!, I recommend doing business with O2 Relief. While the selection of devices is excellent, the customer service is dismal. It can take MONTHS for repairs. I have had to continually follow up to ask the status of a repair. They offered to rent me a device for hundreds of dollars a week while waiting an extraordinarily long time for a repair. I have purchased two portable oxygen concentrators over the past few years from O2 Relief, but will never buy anything from them again. Buyer beware! read more

I've had five contacts with their "team". From my initial phone call, Walt was very helpful. I went to their location and purchased a "cart" for a friend's portable oxygen machine. Issa was the person who assisted me with the purchase. He demonstrated how to use the cart and showed me other items that I was interested in. I had to phone the company because I thought that the handle was wrong, it was not. Walt explained how to use the cart and how to fit the machine into the carrier. I felt comfortable. The charge for using American express did not bother me. I don't know why many companies don't use Amer Express these days and many companies charge for using a credit card. The cart has made moving the machine from place to place easier for my friend who has emphysema. read more

I've been purchasing durable medical equipment from this location for years. 6 CPAP machines, a portable oxygen concentration unit and miscellaneous CPAP supplies. Last week I purchased a new travel size CPAP machine for my dad. He doesn't want it, he would rather use his Resmed Airsense 10. I never removed the box from the bag they put it in. When I purchased this CPAP, they made no mention of the sale being final due to Covid. They also raised the prices from what I was quoted for over the phone. The former staff that worked there were always helpful. The current staff need some serious training. I'll never shop there again. read more

I've probably written only 2 or 3 reviews in the many years I've been on yelp, however the staff at 02 Relief truly deserve it. When I had an emergency need for supplemental 02 upon returning home after surgery, Stacey in the San Diego store answered all of our questions and set me up with the perfect rental. Later, when my condition changed and my doctor suggested a different type O2 generator, no problem. Because I was closest to the Irvine store, Stacey suggested I could turn the leased machine in at Irvine, and she would work with them as a team to make sure I got the perfect O2 generator to fit my needs. Issa and Walt from Irvine stepped in, took back the rental unit (it was a few days late at no charge), and applied the full lease amount I'd already paid to purchase a brand new O2 machine that better suited my needs. I couldn't believe it-the month's lease was free. Also, most importantly, Stacey, Issa and Walt were gracious, helpful, knowledgeable, and committed to me being satisfied. Over-the-top experience working with Walt and Samantha at 02 Relief. We went to the Irving showroom last Sat and by Wed, Tom had his new Inogen G5 in hand! Walt showed us and explained so thoroughly the products what they have, how they work along with the continued support after purchase. We spent hours on line before trying to figure out the right portable oxygen concentrator device for Tom including working with an Inogen salesman direct before. Our advice to you - go direct to 02 Relief from the start - you'll save yourself time and money. You will be amazed at all of the customer support they offer as part of the purchase to include the different portable manufacturers they represent. When you need to have it serviced, you can do it there vs sending in to Inogen and have mega frustrations (you may want to check out the 1-star reviews for Inogen if that is where you are leaning to go with). I needed a O2 generator for my elderly father. Found O2 Relief on the internet and visited their store. I was greeted immediately and there were no high pressure sales tactics. I explained what was needed and was directed to the right machine for my father needs. The box was opened and an explanation was given on how to use it. There were 4 nasal cannulas included at no extra cost which I did not know were optional. If I had ordered off the internet there would have been a delay in using it because I needed the cannulas. I rarely write these types of reviews but I think this one is necessary. I had a very poor experience with this business. It started out very well with the manager answering the telephone helping me with my questions. But once I arrived at the store I was greeted by a different professional. This one treated me very poorly. She didn't answer any of my questions. And she sold me the wrong products. As I was leaving the store I scrutinized the packaging more carefully and realize they were not the right parts. When I asked the woman sales person about this she was quite rude to me. I finally asked her to get the manager that I spoke to on the telephone to come out and help me from the office. She was able to help and I explained to her that the woman who had helped me was neither professional nor helpful. I would be very careful of this business to make sure that you know exactly what you need or be sure to speak with the manager / owner of the store. read more

I purchased a Inogen One G5 and accessories from this store after renting one for a few weeks. We had a problem with the rental but the store exchanged it as soon as we brought it in (a good sign [1] because they're local and [2] because there was no quibbling about it). After using it we decided to purchase a new unit and did so with two of the larger batteries. One of the batteries proved defective but, once again, as soon as we called and returned to the store, they exchanged it without any fuss. Credit is due to the manager of the store and to Issa with whom we dealt. Because of the problem the manager added another accessory because he felt it was compenation for the problem. They're honest, quick to respond, and there is no pressure to buy. Issa explains things very clearly. Their store is filled with all types and of oxygen concentrators. The store itself is pleasant and comfortable. They treat their customers fairly and the real sign of how you'll be treated is always, when something doesn't work, how the vendor fixes it. I actually had a slightly better price from a firm in another state but opted to go with this ethical business because it fixed everything, which is a much stronger reason than a little savings in cost. They're good people and I recommend them highly. read more

I suffer from seasonal, cluster headaches, otherwise known as "suicide headaches", which hit me when the time changes each year (spring and fall). They are debilitating and I wouldn't wish them on anyone. I have always heard that oxygen helps with aborting the headaches when used appropriately, but getting a prescription was difficult. After finally getting a prescription, I had no idea how to get the oxygen, what size tank i needed, etc. LUCKY FOR ME, I was fortunate enough to find Walter and O2 Relief online. After a quick chat with him online, i made my appointment and stopped by. Walter was EXTREMELY professional, EXTREMELY knowledgeable, listened to my situation and provided the advice I sorely needed to help with these demons in my head.
