We bought a brand new Jayco travel trailer at Richardson's RV and I picked it up from this service center. The young man who did the walk through with us was young but seemed to know his stuff pretty well. We found a few small flaws within the trailer and they were quickly fixed. All of the people we interacted with were very friendly and polite, from the people working in the store to the people who worked to install our hitch and brake controller. I am hoping to have the same great service if we need to return for anything. read more

Richardson's has been a nightmare to work with 2-3 months for an appointment, then 2 weeks at their facility, they say surrrrre we fixed it, they didn't even touch what was broken. Then 2 more months for appointment, to fix the same thing, same thing happened again, fool me once shame on me, fool me twice shame on you. So much frustration we found a diesel pusher, at a smaller dealership that does on site repairs, and has better ratings. New rig with slightly higher monthly, but with all the repairs we have had to do and pay out of pocket, and 2 times dry camping disasters, for same reason after repairs were "yes we repaired it" done. I will never buy a trailer from this company again. We bought our second trailer last year through Richardsons. After the sale was complete, of course we then figured out all the lies that we were told and that we overpaid for our trailer along with things that were promised that were then denied after the fact by the sales guy. We have had to take our brand-new trailer into service multiple times. After taking the trailer out a couple weeks ago, we discovered that our Jayco has a leak in the roof. I tried to call and schedule service and the soonest I can drop off the trailer is March 8, over a month away. And I'm sure it will be in the shop for two weeks again. Such horrible customer service. They definitely over promised and under delivered and I will make sure everybody knows to not buy from them. read more

I bought a new Jayco Motorhome from a dealer out of state. I live in OC and Richardsons RV in Riverside was the closest authorized Jayco Dealer. I called to schedule service on 6 minor warranty items. The service department advised me that the owner has mandated they only work on 3 warranty items per visit if you did not purchase the RV from them. I was not happy with the response since driving to the 909 from Orange County is a major hassle, not made easier driving a class a motorhome. I called Jayco and told them about this dealership. Jayco offered to let me use Aaron RV (mobile service, that did all my work on my previous RV), or Dennis Dillon RV (DDVR in Westminister). Just wanted to let every new RV owner looking to have warranty work that you do have options and you can avoid this spiteful dealer. I have used the other options provided and will not visit this dealership for service or buy anything from them. Spoiler Alert Richardons, Jayco owners have options and will not put up with your non-sense. Change your policy or go out of business. read more

This review isn't so much about Richardson RV but one incredible employee by the name of Jessica Macias who is in internet sales. My wife and I live in Bakersfield, CA and when we started looking for our motorhome I found Jessica at RV Express. I sent Jessica a request for a quote on a Jayco Grayhawk 30X and when the price came back I was in shock. I had to call her and make sure we were talking about the same options and she should double check her figures. She assured me that the price was correct and all was good. The price was about $15000.00 dollars less than that Camping place. She explained that it would take about four to six months before it could be delivered. Of course over that time period I called Jessica with all kinds of questions. I'm sure she told everyone that when my name showed up on caller ID she was either out of the office or state which ever sounded better. I called and Jessica got the answers to all of my questions and more. The date finally came and were off to Menifee to get our new motor home and meet Jessica. Upon our walk through with Skip a few minor issues were found and fixed. Just about the time were getting ready to leave I found a bigger issue and Jessica called the owner Steve Richardson and he even got involved with making sure that this issue was resolved. If your looking into buying a motor home, 5th wheel or trailer you would be very smart to give Jessica Macias a call at RV Express. Dealing with Jessica was real simple and smooth, you don't need to asked for a better price she gives you the best price. Worst experience I've ever had! Purchased a 2019 genesis vortex from them.. the list of items needing to be replaced in the first year was a joke.. to still having things not fixed 6 months later and having my trailer sit in their service department for months at a time! Bought the trailer with a paint scuff on the awning that they were supposed to call me to come in to change when I purchased it! They never did! But they replaced it under warranty to now having a awning they completely broke and it will now not even open electronically at all! I've been waiting for a call back from the Service manager that is a joke and knows nothing for about 2 months.. regarding my antenna that has never worked from day one! Don't get me started on my outside light that isn't wired and the panel wide open that they left that way! Because they didn't have enough time (2 months) to get the job done!! I should of taken the drive to the high desert and purchased my trailer there! That's what I get for thinking I could save a couple hours of time! I am going to share the same review for the Dealership and the Service Center. I purchased my first Fifth Wheel Toy Hauler at Richardson's RV Center in Riverside and I have to say that I was totally surprised at how helpful the associates and technicians at both the Dealership and the Service Center were. From the Sales person to financing at the Dealership. And from the Technicians, Associates and Service Manager at the Service Center, I was amazed at how helpful and patient the Richardson's RV personnel treated me. This was my first RV purchase and I was very apprehensive about the process of the purchasing process and the Pre-Deliver Inspection process since I was all alone and inexperienced. However, the Richardson's RV Center associates at the Dealership and the Service Center made me comfortable and relaxed with absolutely no pressure whatsoever. In addition to this they lent their professional advice and suggestions to any and all questions that I raised. I'd never used a trailer brake before and the associate adjusted the trailer brake to suit my rig and demonstrated to me the manner in which he adjusted the trailer brake with my rig in tow. I could go on with many more examples however the bottom line is that on the day that I purchased my very first RV, a fifth wheel toy hauler, I was amazed beyond belief on how I had such a pleasurable experience when all I had was stress, anxiety, cynicism, reservations and doubt going in. Not to take anything away from the plethora of RV dealers or speak for all of the Richardson's RV dealerships, I can say that the Richardson's RV dealership in Riverside is awesome. And if you should choose to shop there, relax, let your guard down and focus on your purchase instead of needlessly worrying yourself. read more

Had a great salesman, but once they get your money they seem to ignore you. Had problem getting parts that were missing when we bought it , they don't call you back they pass the buck to a different department that never calls you. I also had a trouble lite come on the day I took it off the lot, which they told me that I had to take it to the Chev dealership, even though they had it at the time. read more

The sales department is amazing. The service department is the absolute worst. Therein lies the problem. You spend over 1$50,000 on an rv, pay extra for the warranty coverage, and then every time you need to bring the rv in it is a 2 month wait for an appointment, the work takes another 3 months, and the people in the service department office act like you are putting them out because you need things fixed. I have experience here; two years of dealing with this. rude on the phone, rude at the waiting counter, rude in the whole process. I am nice, I am cordial, I don't yell or act like a jerk, but I am about to start. You treat people like crap, like you are personally having to pay for these repairs. Either train yourselves to understand how customer service works or stop taking warranty work orders. Refer us somewhere else where people aren't rude and put out by having to work(?). You aren't even doing the work yourselves, the maintenance people are, so why all the attitude? read more

The communication from the service Dept leaves a lot to be desired. Brought my rig in almost 7 weeks ago because the fridge stopped working. It's taken them until a week ago to order the new fridge. No phone call to advise of the time, I've had to call them at every turn. We've lost the use of our rig for half the summer now. Who knows how long it will take once the new one comes in. Beware do not take a single rig here. Today is July 9th 2018, and we dropped of a voltage 3990 RV here for service 3 weeks ago. Today we get a call from Steve the service manager stating the repairs were completed. He proceed to tell me that they fix the warping floor, the excessive battery drain, the loose wires in the hitch. And then says oh yeah by the way, while your trailer was here is our possession it got broken into and someone stole all the contents out of my jockey boxes, and they used a crow bar to access it. Really WTF, are you kidding me! i told him and you just thought of telling me this now? Then he tells me ill need to file a police report, i thought ok, but honestly i think you guys should file it.. Since the repairs will be done by your service department and your insurance will have to pay for the lost contents. He then told me oh, we dont cover this, huh? Wait while my trailer was at the dealer for warranty repairs, now your trying to not pay for these damages. Well this is something that will be sent over to Richardsons Corporate Office. The damages will be in excess of $10,000.00. I will be filing a lawsuit. against the service center. as well as contacting the News Station to share my story. read more

My husband and I purchased a used camper a few weeks ago from their Riverside dealership. When we looked at the camper we noticed a few repairs that needed to be done. Our salesman assure us that all repairs would be done and the camper would be clean at the time of pick up. A week later we picked up the camper and none of the repairs were done and the camper still needed to be cleaned. We ended up taking the camper home as is (since no refunds are given) and did the repairs/cleaning ourselves. We were very disappointed with the service. We even voiced our disappointment to management and have not heard back from them. All I can say is, please be careful when buying used RV's from Richardson's RV Centers. read more

Regarding Riverside CA Richardson's. I contacted one of their sales people by phone looking for information on a specific used 5th that they advertised. The sales guy said that they might not have it anymore but would check and call me back. After waiting for two days for him to call I called them. Spoke with a different sales guy. He said the same thing and said that he will check and also see if they had another trailer like it and call me back. Nothing.... Never heard back from him. I bought a Genesis 1914V a few weeks ago. Overall I'm satisfied with the service and experience. I would purchase from this dealer next time. I would also recommend to others (just schedule the delivery during the week...see notes below). What I liked: *Final Price - I did a lot of research and I'm happy with where we ended up on price. Don't think I could have done any better elsewhere. *Knowledgeable Salesperson - Specifically Jared did an excellent job being honest and spending a good deal of time answering questions and showing us around. It took 2 visits for me to decide and he was patient and took his time with us each time. *I didn't feel pressured. When I walked in I was a little worried this was going to be a hard sell environment because the sales manager setup is in the glass enclosed elevated platform, just like at the car dealership. Turns out they didn't pressure me at all. I appreciated that. What I didn't like: *Scheduled a pickup of the unit on a Saturday, maybe not the best day to schedule delivery. The team doing the Prep and Delivery were not on the ball and seemed overwhelmed. I had this scheduled for over a week in advance but yet they were still setting up the unit when I walked out to it. The rep doing the walk through with me seemed very rushed. I had to wait about 30 minutes past my appointment time for them to get to me because they were backlogged. Also the person doing the walk through seemed to not be as engaged with the process as he could have been. He would disappear during the delivery process and I had to go find him at least 3 times. The tech they got to perform the minor fixes we discovered on the walk through did a great job fixing the issues and within about 2 hours I pulled out with the unit. I'll give the mechanic an A+ for his work during the process. He was super helpful, even more so than the guy doing the walk through in answering detailed questions. I'm satisfied with the results although it took an hour longer than it should have. *Prices are very high on add-ons and extra's. Quote to put on a weight distribution hitch was nearly $800 w/labor. Same unit is $275 on Amazon. For 30 minutes of labor that is a high profit margin. My advice is if you need extra's shop around. Same deal with Brake Controller ($380 quote, on a $135 unit), again took 20 minutes for me to install myself and I'm no mechanic. read more

They were all nice and polite. However when I did my walkthrough, I was told only the air conditioner and microwave would not work unless we were plugged into a 110 outlet. So my elderly parents and I went camping at the beach in oceanside, ca where there aren't any hook ups. It was ok to go without ac and microwave. After arriving, leveling and chocking tires, my father tried to charge his cell phone by plugging it into one of many outlets. No power! But the lights were on, running on the trailers battery. I called Richardson's from my vacation to figure out the issue. I was put through to the service dept. He said to checkthe circuit breaker which I did. It was fine. Then he asked if we were hooked up to utilities, and I said no because we were told that only the ac and microwave wouldn't work. They never said the plugs or radio wouldn't work!!!! He then started talking to me like I was an idiot and should have known that. My father requires a CPAC machine to breath at night, now with no power. He had to get a hotel room. Had I known the plugs wouldnt work without power being hooked to the trailer, I would have purchased a different one that had a generator. read more

Purchased our Jayco from Richardsons several years ago and love it. Have had excellent luck with it with no problems what so ever. Thank God because the Riverside Service Center is the absolute worse Service Center of any kind that i have ever encountered. Bringing my T/T in for routine service I was greeted by Steven. It was obvious that Steven was having a Bad Day. I informed him what I wanted serviced and that I had an appointment. He then told me its a good thing or he would tell me to go back home. I thought he was kidding and kind of chuckled, he did not. I looked up at him and he was looking at me with a Mad Mug Stink Face. He was not goofing he was jerk serious. After getting through that I was asking him about what other types of services they offered. I could tell that he either didn't know what the Service Center had to offer or that his time was to preciouse to be bothered answering my inquiries. After asking him about bearings and seals, he mentioned a package that included bearings greased, seals, breaks check and adjusted, check tires, battery, lights, and I believe a couple more items along with that package, he gave me the price which sounded high but I wanted my wheels and breaks inspected and serviced. I asked Steven, Steven do they really check all those items? And young Steven informed me that no they don't that they just tell the customer that and charge them for it anyhow. Again I kind of chuckled and thought that he was kidding, but that same expression informed me that he was in no joking mood. This is when I should have told this ....Person that he needs to get a personality and drove off and taken my business down the road to the next Service Center. But I didn't. Instead while Steven was doing the paper work and putting the ticket on the trailer while talking to the previous customer who Walked back to ask a question, I got into my side hatch and grabbed a roll of electrical tape out of my tool box and put a couple strips of black tape on the back side of the battery box and the cover that could not be seen. Several days later I returned to pick up my T/T. Steven was at the counter and recognized me , he then grabbed my paperwork and said that it will be 500 and some odd dollars and I need you to sign here, and here. So I'm looking at the invoice and at the itemized list of everything that they allegedly inspected and serviced that's a mile long when I hear Steven making a heavy breaking type noises while shuffling his feet and looking at the clock not once but two times during this exhibition of sheer impatient rudeness. During this I am attempting to inquire about what was determined from all of this service and alleged long list of inspections that I'm paying for. This is when I had enough and was not going to deal with Steven anymore. I had to leave before something regrettable happened. Leaving the center and getting on the road I discovered the the breaks were not adjust. As a matter of fact I had very little brakes and they were improperly adjusted. Badly. There is less than 3500 miles on this unit from going to the beach and back several times a year. There was nothing wrong with the breaks before bearings greased and breaks inspected and adjusted. After parking the unit in storage I checked the battery box and the black tape was still there, undisturbed. The battery was not even looked at, let alone check for water level ect. The tires were suppose to be inspected. I checked the pressure and one of them was 15lb under. All were under and none were the same. The tires we not checked. Here is what I'm saying people, Richardson's Riverside Service Center is a Sham. I would not recommend this place to anybody. Especially after calling the service manager at the Menife Center to let him know of my experience, and him telling me that he would investigate and get back with me the following day. Well guess what? I got a beautiful Jayco Travel Trailer sitting in storage with no breaks. read more

I bought my trailer at Richardson RV Center in Colton. I bought the highland ridge brand new 2019 model. Since I pick up this trailer the problem never end. First water leaking second water heater need to replace the circus board third propane's leaks I replace the pig tail, now the water heater broken down again, I find out is the thermostat cut off fuse burning, I think I got a lemon trailer, but warranty refuse to care for the problem. Today was the last day I'll step foot in this service center. I wanted information on adding solar panels to my existing system. The first guy had no idea what I was talking about so he brought over Steve. I inquired about adding the panels and he needed to know what kind I already have. We went inside my 5th wheel and started talking about what can be done. He was very short with me. Said there's nothing they can do about the amount of room I have on the roof. I asked if they had smaller panels to add. He said I won't get as much power from a smaller one. I knew this and just wanted to supplement what I had. He started yelling at me inside my own trailer. Said he wasn't trying to be a D*^+ and that I was condescending to him. I could not believed this was happening. I said I wasn't and he told me "where done" and get my trailer the F^** off his lot. REALLY. when I was in the store there was another gentleman that said Steve told him the same thing and wanted to fight him. Two complaints at the same time about Steve. Seems like a problem. We worked exclusively online with Jessica Macias and she was very helpful, polite and courteous throughout the entire process. I had submitted quite a few quotes for Jayco trailers as this was our first go around with travel trailers. Quotes came back very quickly and complete with details. After we decided on the Jayco model we wanted we put an order in. Now the only draw back was the amount of wait time for the trailer to be built but this was completely out of Jessica's hands and was because of the high demand for Jayco trailers. We drove from Sacramento, California to pick up our trailer in Riverside, California and with the amount of money we saved and how well we were received and treated it was well worth the drive. I read Brandi R.'s review with interest. Why? We bought a Genesis Supreme 5th wheel toyhauler last year. The closest authorized service center is in Menifee. I called and left messages 3 times with what is supposed to be the service center. Not one call back from the service department. Last message I left was a bit snotty to say the least. Finally I got a call back. Just not from the service department (shocking right. ) It was from Jayne who is not even connected with service. Querstion..should I be thrilled that someone called me back after 3 days. Well I'm not. So tell me, I need to have it checked over to keep the warranty intact and there are a couple of things that need warranty service. In addition the awning arm (electric) self destructed upon opening our last trip out. Excuse me trying to open last trip out 3 weeks ago. Paid $100.00 to have a mobile RV service come out to bend it back into shape and retract so it could be driven. My point is should I slip my neck deeper into this noose and make an appointment to bring in my RV for its warranty check up and sorta minor warranty work. I gotta tell ya 1 star just for what I've experienced so far.Again this is the Menifee Richardson's. Update: Finished reading more reviews about this place. NO WAY NO HOW AM I GOING HERE. SADLY I'M IN SAN DIEGO COUNTY AND I HAVE TO KEEP LOOKING NORTH UNTIL I FIND A PLACE. Riverside is the next place to try. Wish me luck. read more

We recently brought our Motorhome here (which is where we purchased it) for a recalled part and some service on 6/12 (we scheduled the appointment about 3 weeks prior). We received a phone call the same day stating that most of the work had been completed but that they still had to order the part that was needed for the recall and that it would be an additional 3 weeks before it came and that they couldn't release our RV back to us without fixing the recalled part (which was just a "more fireproof" shower curtain) - even though we informed them of the recall we were bringing it in for when we made the appointment and you would think they would have the part there ready to be installed at our appointment...frustrating! All of that aside, we called a few times checking on the status and playing phone tag with some people there in the following weeks. After my boyfriend called on 7/3 and told them we wanted our RV for the holiday, they suddenly had the shower curtain and it was being installed. He went and picked it up a few hours later and brought it home. That night, we were loading some things into our lower storage cabinet and noticed our bluetooth speaker was missing....then noticed our EZ Up was missing! We called Richardson's and were told they are not responsible for lost or stolen property...they pretty much brushed us off and told us the service manager, Enrique, would call us back. He didn't. As a couple days passed waiting to hear back from Enrique, we decided to take inventory of our storage cabinets and make sure nothing else was missing...so far we have found the following items to be missing: Ion Block Rocker Flash ($176), 10x10 EZ Up ($150), DieHard Portable Power ($140) & Craftsman Heavy Duty Tool Backpack ($50 with approx $50 worth of tools inside). Also, I should mention that we had our storage cabinets locked when we brought the RV in for service and when we got it back they were all locked and had no damage to any doors or locks. My boyfriend decided to go down to Richardson's on 7/9 to speak to Enrique in person since he had still not heard from him. Enrique was not very helpful and did not seem to be too concerned that he may have a thief working in his department. He told my boyfriend that theft had become an issue there lately and that he would be checking the cameras to see if he could find any answers but he 'finds it hard to believe that anyone on his staff would steal anything'. He also told him that over the weekend, NINE motorhomes had been burglarized while in their service lot! After hearing that, it sounds to me like there is some type of inside job going on at Richardson's service center. It seems that someone working there is scoping out the storage cabinets and leaving them unlocked so they can come back and take valuable items when it is convenient for them. I have filed a police report and urge any others who were burglarized to file a police report as well in hopes that RPD would help us get to the bottom of this! read more

After reading negative reviews I was not expecting much when I had to take in my brand new trailer in for a multiple of issues. They were a month out on appointments which kind of stunk. So I show up at my appointment time and they did not have my name. After that my expectations went more down. They said they were busy and could not look at it for seven days. I said it was fine I figured they would have it for a month anyway. That was on a Saturday morning. Steven in service called me six days later on Friday and said everything was completed and is ready for pick-up. I was shocked. But still had to inspect it. I did and was satisfied with all of my request. Maybe got lucky......? read more

1st time customer, didn't tell anyone in the shop, wanted to see how they treated their average customer off the street. Came in to: * Replace door latch. (Seems to be OK) * Replace bathroom fan blade. (Wrong part, fan now blows instead of sucking. Tech didn't check his work.) * Charged $220.87 for a $16.99 part. (Oops. Our bad - you caught us.) * Replace roof air conditioning unit. (seems to be OK, but you know I'm going to micro-scrutinize it's install.) * Mangled gooseneck hitch moving trailer around lot with wrong hitch on forklift.
