The generator on our Roadtrek camper van needed servicing. It ran poorly for the last six months (despite monthly "exercising") and recently wouldn't start. In fact, since we bought it years ago, it never did operate properly or smoothly. McBride performed the repair in record time -- six working days -- and stayed in touch with progress reports. The generator now works perfectly. I'd certainly use McBride again. I trust that they're knowledgeable and experienced, and can handle most RV repairs. When I took my 5TH wheel in I told them I just put new battery in please disconnect after working on it twice I talked to them and ask them please disconnect the battery when I pick up my rv the battery was dead they did not help me hooking my rig up could no check to see if my air conditioning was working after they replaced it and there rate is 235 dollars a hour even to see if the could fix my roll up blind just to check it not fix it 235 dollars the blind I replaced it my self and it cost me 25.00 and took me 10 minutes to replace it.The weird thing was the gift bag they gave us said if you give us a good review we will send you a 25 dollar gift card.Sorry but when you charge me 235 dollars a hour just to tell me something is broke something is off. read more

I recently had my 2004 Fleetwood Flair repaired after the accident. It had substantial damage, mostly to storage and gas heater doors. when I picked up my RV I could not believe how great it looked. They made new storage doors, paint matched perfectly, it looked like new. My motor home was washed and they even gave me bag with goodies for my upcoming trip. We have had work done at McBride's on several occasions throughout the last few years. Mostly, I want to comment on the bodywork and repairs they did on our 2018 Forza recently. This review is most likely not what you would anticipate with a 2 star rating. Let me start by saying I have been a 20+ year customer with McBride's. I've know Ben and Jared there for all those years. Over the years I have had good service and bad/substandard service on my coach. I recently took my coach in for an oil change and replacement of my ice maker, which had bee acting up so I wanted to replace it. Not to bore everyone with a bunch of details - but let's just say that the overall install of the unit was bad/substandard this time. It was my mistake for not checking the install before leaving the shop and once I got home and looked at the install I realized that there was definitely a problem with the way the Tech put the ice maker in. Again, there were other issues earlier surrounding the operation of the ice maker that I am leaving out. Anyway, I live some 18 miles from McBride's and with a diesel pusher and gas costs I wanted compensation back for the labor and the costs to bring my coach back to them. I actually decided over the weekend (I picked up my coach on a Friday afternoon) to simply remove the unit and install it correctly myself. When I removed the ice maker I found that not only was it not screwed in properly BUT the knockout plug was not removed as the directions clearly showed. The old unit should have been a clue that the knockout plug needed to be removed. I corrected that issue and used a couple of correct size screws to remount the unit and all was good. I recontacted McBride's and sent them photos (Shared below with my post) and told them I wanted my labor cost refunded to me for the incorrect install that I had fixed. They agreed and sent me a check. Now here is where the disappointment comes in! I received the check for the labor cost of $277.00 and an unsigned letter from the company politely saying "Going forward it is best that you find another shop that can care for the future needs of your coach". In other words - we don't want your business anymore. They couldn't even take the time to sign it... SAD! In past years when service was not done correctly, McBride's always made good on correcting the error, either by fixing the problem a second time OR by refunding labor costs. That was fair. They refunded me as well this time too. Again, that was fair. What makes me sad is that they now dismiss me as a customer because I am holding them accountable for bad/substandard workmanship. I think that at a Labor rate of $185.00 per hour that you should expect correct and skilled workmanship. And when that doesn't happen - AND YOU CALL THEM ON IT - they decide that you need to go elsewhere for future service. I find that sad and I decided to write this review after much thought because in years gone by that was never the philosophy of McBride's. They always did the right thing! The question you need to ask yourself is... did they do the right thing in simply sending me a refund for labor as I had requested - but then dismissed me for future service OR maybe they would take this issue as yet another learning experience and try to improve the quality of work they put out. You decide before you take your coach in for service. I know there will be a response written to counter my posting, but I simply wish that the mind set at the shop would be more proactive about making sure ALL repairs to coaches are done correctly before leaving the property. I wish them well in the years ahead. I guess this customer will have to take my repairs elsewhere and when the lean years for RV service and repair come along again, I'm sorry that I can't be there to support them. That was their choice! Just be sure all is repaired correctly before you sign and pay. Happy RV'ing everyone!! read more

Excellent in every way. Even in followup service. My issue was electrical, needing batteries replaces and cracked solar panels replaced as well. They picked up my vehicle from storage, thoroughly inspected all systems, repaired, replaced (only as needed) and returned vehicle. to storage. As a followup, I was given a free "schooling" on my electric system. All the best I could hope for. Since there are so many different RV configurations, I figure it is worth it to pay for the best quality, honest, and thorough job As I am a full-timer road "warrior" I depend on my gear to be in perfect working order and that is what I get from Joe at McBride's RV. I purchased my own parts and took them to McBride. 3 things that impressed me 1) Customer service - Joe and his team were very knowledgeable and upfront with the repairs I was requesting giving me multiple options to proceed (or not). 2) Cost - I was pleasantly surprised at the final cost which came in half of what I was hearing it was going to be. and 3) Time - they had me in and out within a 2 week span and had my coach washed and ready to go. This was my first visit to McBride's RV Service & Body Shop for work to be done on the ramp door of my 5th wheel. First of all, Joe, who was my service manager, was a great great help!! He kept me updated on the progress of the work and his crew even found another problem that was suspension related on my 5th wheel that I had never even discovered. It was totally unsafe. They fixed my suspension problem and the ramp door on my 5th wheel is amazing!!! New hinges were welded on and it is 100% stable now! I caught my awning on my motorhome on an overhanging tree branch and had to drive to McBride quite a distance away. The hour was late in the day, but Joe recognize the unsafe condition and took the coach in that evening. I bought my truck camper in Ohio, needed an rv mechanic around here where i live, call my warranty company( livinglite) and they send me here.. thank Goddess its closely to my house . they fixed our truck camper slide out/in that was not working properly... $280 i believe/remember. Great local shop. When I first bought my RV I was going to the deal because of warranty work. After a couple years I got tired of the drive and multiple trips to fix things. I called McBrides and found out they can get authorization from the warranty companies. Their shop is local too. Even though it might not be walking distance for you as it is for me, it probably is closer than dealers and other places which you have to deal with freeways to get to. And everything is fixed or taken care of in one trip. I've been using them for my annual maintenance or any repairs ever since. read more

Took our Winnebago Motorhome to Mc Bride's for an estimate due to some pealing clearcoat and cracked vinyl graphics. I also kissed a stucco wall and put a good scrape in the left rear. I checked with some other shops but just didn't feel comfortable with them and the material they used. After getting the estimate I decided to go for it. Jared the Body Shop manager made me feel comfortable and explained what process they would perform the painting, graphic removal and the restoration of others graphics. I had taken my coach to a competitors to fix my rear slide. They charged me $400 to make it obstensibly the same. McBrides adjusted the slide so it sealed when extended.they also clearly have a deep understanding of rv's. Plus they only took a week to look at all my issues plus a courtesy inspection. read more

First time at McBrides. What a wonderful place, truly. We were meet by Joe who walked through and around our RV and said, "you know we have about 30 RVs back there, so it will take a while. Are you guys planning on going anywhere in the next month?" Fortunately, because of COVID and because of the tightening of shipping containers, etc, we're both assured him "no." As my wife wants to do, she called McBrides about every Monday to see what was up. The wonderful lady in the reception area assured us, by looking at the files very quickly, what was bring done to our RV. Truly wonderful lady. Jared said or RV was finally ready to pick up! We meet by Joe who took a break from eating his lunch (that's a first) and went over the bill with us. Then Jared came who walked us out to the RV, but not before the wonderful woman have us a goody bag (which contained the paint they used and some goodies). We both THANKED her for being so kind. We recently had non-warranty work done on our Class A. Our automatic leveling jacks had never worked correctly. We also had McBride's replace the awning fabric. McBrides communicates well and our RV was ready when expected. When we finally took the RV camping, we noticed that the automatic jacks and the manually operated jacks still were not working correctly. We called Mc Bride's and they got us in right away. They called the manufacturer for suggestions and were able to solve the problem in just a few days. I'd like to share our story of 30 years of RVing because of our recent professional and timely scheduling of repairs by McBride's. Having enjoyed many years driving "off-road" thru the Northwest and Southwest, deserts discovering our "First Nation's" (I love this) citizens, We took our 23 footer and dingy where no RV would willingly go. My wife and I often traveled at 10 mph over many a washboard sandy trails, called roads to visit historic sites. She would stand mid vehicle keeping cabinets and drawers from flying about. Our 23 was retired then later replaced by our current 40 footer (four slides). Having had searched repairs up and down the west coast where we were then "nickel by nickel," drained by almost every "C..W..ld," for minor issues that failed to be resolved. Later, repair issues also occurred at other "RV Service companies"...no real satisfaction occurred until we found McBride's RV. We recently got into a situation whereas damage to the right side curb, lower mid body resulted in my first RV emotional damage event. We were unable to secure repairs out of state until returning home to California. McBride's employees Jeniffer and Mike laid out their repair program and schedule. They managed the Insurance portion and frequently called us to update repair progress or parts delays. My "Rig" now looks better than new...I plan on using McBride's to improve and update our RV enhancements. (Cheaper than buying another rig). Thank you McBride's. Larry C read more

HORRIBLE! Stay away from this place. Brought my RV in for generator and refrigerator issues. I showed them the issues and even provided a video. They kept the RV for 10 days. they did not diagnose nor fix the issues. They are pretty clueless and can't make proper diagnosis. Yet, they charged $1,000 for "non diagnosis". They have a great scam going charging customers for non diagnosis and not fixing anything. When I picked up the RV, the refrigerator was beeping error sign. Insane! We had major body work done after a pole attacked the driver side of the RV. I must say these people know what is needed to be done. They handled every aspect of the repair dealing with us and the insurance company until the completion of the repair. We had major body work that needed to be accomplished. Body work was done to a level which exceeded our expectations. As well the paint on a complex design was outstanding. Multi colors and design were matched so well that we could not tell we ever had a issue.
