This repair facility is top notch. You get what you pay for. They use certified mechanics who know what their doing. I have been coming to Mc Brides for many years and I will never go anywhere else. They service my coach every spring and I have piece of mind throughout the year. I have been to other repair facilities, but this is where I go. Thanks for excellent service, ALWAYS! Bruce Freeman 2011 Winnebago Journey 40U 365 HP Cummins Diesel

We searched for an RV body shop (not easy to find in our area), then found McBride's on Yelp! We are so happy with the work that was done on our trailer! McBride's was spot on with the time frame given and had our trailer back to us before our next trip! The customer service, communication and body work was all superior! We highly recommend them!

The generator on our Roadtrek camper van needed servicing. It ran poorly for the last six months (despite monthly "exercising") and recently wouldn't start. In fact, since we bought it years ago, it never did operate properly or smoothly. McBride performed the repair in record time -- six working days -- and stayed in touch with progress reports. The generator now works perfectly. I'd certainly use McBride again. I trust that they're knowledgeable and experienced, and can handle most RV repairs. Pros: * They were able to get the generator fixed quickly. * They were able to get OEM parts quickly. * Joe explained the repairs in detail so I understood what was being done. * Reasonable 6-month warranty period. * Joe and the rest of the staff were friendly; Joe was knowledgeable. * I liked Joe's examination of the van -- including pictures -- to ensure there were no problems later on. * A surprise: They washed the van, so we came home with it sparkling clean. Cons: * McBride is more expensive than other RV shops I've used. * You don't have any face time or interaction with a mechanic.

Couldn't have asked for a better experience with getting our RV repaired. McBride's is the place to go, they were professional, prompt in returning our calls and kept us updated on the progress on our RV. We were very skeptical that our RV would ever look the same again after it was side swiped on the freeway causing $13,000 worth of damage. The finished result was amazing! We are sooooo pleased and cannot wait to hit the road again! THANK YOU to everyone at McBrides!

    Letter from McBride's

This review is most likely not what you would anticipate with a 2 star rating. Let me start by saying I have been a 20+ year customer with McBride's. I've know Ben and Jared there for all those years. Over the years I have had good service and bad/substandard service on my coach. I recently took my coach in for an oil change and replacement of my ice maker, which had bee acting up so I wanted to replace it. Not to bore everyone with a bunch of details - but let's just say that the overall install of the unit was bad/substandard this time. It was my mistake for not checking the install before leaving the shop and once I got home and looked at the install I realized that there was definitely a problem with the way the Tech put the ice maker in. Again, there were other issues earlier surrounding the operation of the ice maker that I am leaving out. Anyway, I live some 18 miles from McBride's and with a diesel pusher and gas costs I wanted compensation back for the labor and the costs to bring my coach back to them. I actually decided over the weekend (I picked up my coach on a Friday afternoon) to simply remove the unit and install it correctly myself. When I removed the ice maker I found that not only was it not screwed in properly BUT the knockout plug was not removed as the directions clearly showed. The old unit should have been a clue that the knockout plug needed to be removed. I corrected that issue and used a couple of correct size screws to remount the unit and all was good. I recontacted McBride's and sent them photos (Shared below with my post) and told them I wanted my labor cost refunded to me for the incorrect install that I had fixed. They agreed and sent me a check. Now here is where the disappointment comes in! I received the check for the labor cost of $277.00 and an unsigned letter from the company politely saying "Going forward it is best that you find another shop that can care for the future needs of your coach". In other words - we don't want your business anymore. They couldn't even take the time to sign it... SAD! In past years when service was not done correctly, McBride's always made good on correcting the error, either by fixing the problem a second time OR by refunding labor costs. That was fair. They refunded me as well this time too. Again, that was fair. What makes me sad is that they now dismiss me as a customer because I am holding them accountable for bad/substandard workmanship. I think that at a Labor rate of $185.00 per hour that you should expect correct and skilled workmanship. And when that doesn't happen - AND YOU CALL THEM ON IT - they decide that you need to go elsewhere for future service. I find that sad and I decided to write this review after much thought because in years gone by that was never the philosophy of McBride's. They always did the right thing! The question you need to ask yourself is... did they do the right thing in simply sending me a refund for labor as I had requested - but then dismissed me for future service OR maybe they would take this issue as yet another learning experience and try to improve the quality of work they put out. You decide before you take your coach in for service. I know there will be a response written to counter my posting, but I simply wish that the mind set at the shop would be more proactive about making sure ALL repairs to coaches are done correctly before leaving the property. I wish them well in the years ahead. I guess this customer will have to take my repairs elsewhere and when the lean years for RV service and repair come along again, I'm sorry that I can't be there to support them. That was their choice! Just be sure all is repaired correctly before you sign and pay. Happy RV'ing everyone!!

Instead, I contacted BAL, the manufacturer of the slide system, directly. BAL recommended a retrofit repair kit as the proper fix, which I purchased myself for $160. That kit includes two new motors. Once I had the OEM-recommended parts, I asked this company for a labor-only quote. After multiple follow-ups, they declined to even provide one, stating their technician "has not had good luck" with these retrofit kits and that they were not comfortable performing the repair. That's the part I find most frustrating. The retrofit kit still involves replacing the same motors they originally diagnosed as failed. If they were not comfortable performing the manufacturer-recommended repair, that should have been disclosed upfront -- before I paid for a diagnosis and spent time sourcing the solution myself. I appreciate their honesty in ultimately admitting their limitations, but that honesty came after the fact, not before. In the end, I paid $200, got no repair, no quote, and no clear path forward until I handled it myself. Future customers should ask upfront whether the technician is experienced with their specific slide system and whether they are willing to quote labor separately before paying for a diagnosis.

Not the kind of problem you want to deal with on a trip. I called Nick and he responded right away. He made time to come out the same day. He diagnosed the issue quickly and knew exactly what was wrong. The automatic transfer switch had failed. Instead of delaying the repair, he tracked down the part himself, picked it up, and came back to install it. That level of effort matters when you are on a tight timeline. The repair was clean and professional. Power was restored and my entire weekend was back on track. What could have been a ruined trip turned into a great one. He did not stop there. He worked through the warranty process and made sure the repair was covered. I ended up fully reimbursed by the manufacturer. That saved me money and a lot of hassle. Nick goes above and beyond. I'm writing this review in hopes that another family will not be taken advantage of…read more I applied to purchase a trailer from Westland Campers on July 27th. On July 29th I spoke with a man named Sean. He advised that I was approved for a 2018 Wildwood Xtreme Lite. There would be $2000 down, and $700 per month for 60 months. I was pretty excited to have a new trailer for our annual camping trip! He sent photos, answered my questions, and assured me that the tires, roof and trailer were in great shape. Unfortunately, he said he was leaving for vacation, then needed a day to go through the trailer and get it ready for the sale when he returned, so we wouldn't be able to pick up the trailer until 8/4. Additionally, I was told he'd need the $2k right away via Zelle to hold it. I didn't feel comfortable with that arrangement, so he agreed to hold it if I'd send $500 immediately via Zelle, and the rest at pick up on the 4th, so I did do $500. We went ahead and postponed our trip from the 1st to the 4th. We had everything laid out at home ready to load our new-to-us trailer, got the trailer insured, and planned to pick up the trailer & head out! Sean wasn't sure what the hitch size we needed was, so we brought a reversible ball, and figured we'd have to stop for a load-leveling sway hitch once we knew the type we needed. Upon arrival at Westland Campers in Pomona, we excitedly went to check out the trailer. The first thing we noticed was that all 4 tires were completely cracked and chewed up. Sean had assured me the tires were fine. When we pointed this out, he said we could take the trailer to his tire person a few miles away for new tires. I feel that he should have checked the tires before answering that they were in good shape. Next, we noticed that there was no mattress on the queen bed. I don't mind that, but it adds an extra layer of work needed prior to using the trailer. He didn't tell me about that. Third, the trailer was filthy. There were handprints, dirt, stains, and rodent feces in some drawers. This trailer would require a full day of hard cleaning, as well as the time needed to get the tires replaced to be usable. On the outside, the awning had multiple tears. Several of the plastic latches & light covers were missing or broken. He said he'd order replacements and send them to us, but again, this should have been done prior to delivery in my opinion. After weighing the amount of work and time, expense, and not having a proper hitch configuration, we decided not to move forward with the purchase. After much back and forth discussion with Sean, he declined to refund the good-faith deposit, or even apologize for the misrepresentation of the trailer's condition. I initially wrote this review on Tuesday evening. Sean repeatedly text me with threats and rude comments, saying I was lying, and insisting I remove my review. Finally, I just deleted it. It was stressing me out and I was trying to enjoy what was left of my time off work. But I've decided I will not succumb to blackmail. I went back through the dates, messages and conversations. Everything I am saying is the complete truth and I double checked prior to rewriting this review. I am not trying to "ruin his reputation", I simply want potential customers to be careful and trust your gut when dealing with Westland Campers.
