I really appreciate Ly from start to finish. I was recommended to him by Sham (Auto Technik- right next door). I brought in my Toyota Matrix and showed him my bumper which was coming off and damaged. I felt cared for as he inspected it and showed me options of repair. Throughout the process, he kept me updated through texts, calls, and send me photos of the new bumper being brought in and painted. I felt personalized and that he cared for my individual needs. When I picked up the car a few days later, I saw that it was completely washed and cleaned inside and out. What an impression! This review is long overdue. I own a 2015 Subaru Forester that has been parked outdoors since I purchased it and recently decided that I was going to invest some money into getting most of the exterior panels repainted due to dings, scratches, etc. I did a quick Yelp search for reputable body shops in my area and decided to bring my vehicle to Rising Star Collision based off of all of the good reviews. I'm VERY particular about my vehicle and wanted things done right, even it was a bit more expensive. After getting an estimate, I was put in touch with with Ly (Lee), who was the owner of the business. He sent me step by step photos via text and his level of communication was impeccable. I mentioned I was also a local business owner and on the day that I picked up my vehicle I sat down with Ly at his desk and talked about business ethics, the history of his company, and how he handles clients. He even gave me a tour of the shop. I respect this guy a ton and he was so nice and easy to talk to, despite our respective businesses and overall interests being very different. He even pointed out that a previous body shop had done some very questionable under the hood work and fixed everything for me. I was rear ended lightly a year prior and took my car to a local body shop that did some cheap work that I wasn't aware of like using house screws and incorrect parts. When I got my Forester back, it looked brand new. The only issue is that the rear badge had been scratched in the process, a tow cap cover I provided had not been painted, and some of the rear weather stripping wasn't installed correctly. Ly asked me to bring the vehicle back, he purchased a new OEM rear badge for me and I installed it myself, and he had his shop paint the rear tow hook cap and install new weather stripping. Ly was amazing and I thoroughly enough getting to know him and learn about his business. I'm beyond happy with the results and my car looks brand new. It was a little more expensive since roughly 85% of the vehicle was repainted, but it was the same OEM color and the paint matching was done very well. Thanks Ly and Rising Star Collision! Just enough where you cant notice the difference unless you realllyyyyyy look at it. Came in for an estimate. Scraped the rear drivers side near the wheel area along a gate. I will say for all those saying prices were reasonable is questionable because my quote came out the highest compared to other shops I went to for quotes. I will say though it looks like they run a high quality, clean, and organized business. The people were nice and I was told there was a lifetime guarantee for the paint. I was quoted around $1750.
