We both wanted pedicures and we both got gel. We regularly get our toes done, so we're used to the procedure. Dip your feet in water, get a foot scrub, massage etc. When we got seated, my sister sat there for about 10 minutes waiting on her nail tech and waiting for them to turn the water on. My tech was quick to soak my feet. As my tech started working on my feet, she asked if I wanted to get the callus scrub. I said yes. She said it was going to be $20 more! Mind you, they don't even have anything listing their prices. I asked, "isn't that included in a pedicure? I have never had to pay for the scrub anywhere I've been." I then proceed to ask for the list of prices, and she explained that's how much they charged. Go figure. Way to explain yourself. After she finished painting my nails, which looked horrible, she said she would scrub my feet for free. In all my years getting pedicures, this has been one of the worst experiences ever. I will stick to my Asian nail salons from now on. Don't waste your time coming here.

So come prepared I was greeted with a neck warmer and escorted to a comfy massage chair. Mary was my tech and she was so kind. I am prone to ingrown nails and she fixed them all! Love her! Probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a nail salon. The Owner and Manager's are…read moreconsistently "entitled" and rude - even to loyal customers. NOTE: The amount of hypocrisy in the messages they respond to reviews on here is incredible. They consistently use the terminology that they "value loyalty" - yet again, if you dare to cancel an appointment (respectfully, with communication), their way of handling, it will be to punish you. So no amount of polite "up speak" or other comments can make up for the fact that this is how they actually handle loyal customers. For some reason, the ownership, which is a partnership between Patti, and her male counterpart, believe that you've committed some horrible offense if you dare to reschedule your appointment. They're one of 1000 manicure salons in Los Angeles, and they happen to be right down the street from some major Studios, so how insane is it that they find it offensive that busy folk in the entertainment industry might need to occasionally reschedule their appointment??! I've been a loyal customer for over five months, having put up with some of the rudeness and entitlement, because there was one Manicurist, who always did a decent job. I even on one occasion them brought them expensive smoothies because I happen to be grabbing one for myself... But did it stop them from being rude when three months later I needed to reschedule an appointment?! No. In fact, they acted as if I wasn't a loyal customer, and as if I had done something atrocious, like missed an appointment, without bothering to request the appropriate change. My reason for cancellation? I had had a serious medical situation come up. I even offered to pay for my missed appointment, but all I got back was that I was no longer welcome to schedule with that particular Manicurist, because her time and schedule is very important. They also then told me the only way that I could book in a future appointment would be online- so I was being punished for having a medical emergency and having the audacity to actually try to reschedule a manicure appointment! I have all the texts to prove this, if annyone out there wishes proof of this. Additionally, they lied, and said that "due to my several cancellations" - when I literally had only had ONE cancellation, five months, previous, again to due to illness. I don't know if this cruel and vindictive behavior that does not value, loyalty and kindness is because the owners are just unkind human beings, or if they're just so overwhelmed with always being shortstaffed that they've decided the only way to handle their personal upset is to take it out on loyal customers. Doesn't matter. I immediately rescheduled with an outstanding manicure salon that just opened literally five minutes from them, and so far those two appointments have been outstanding. Bel-Air Nails. But really, as we all know, there's thousands of good nail salons in Los Angeles, this is definitely not one of them. Thank you. - Kathryn B.

Walked in at 4:10pm and got a pleasant, warm welcome from Jamy and her husband Nick. The salon was empty except one other woman doing her pedicure. Vast selection of nail polish colors. Regular and gel. Jamy, told me to take a seat, and without an appointment they welcomed me with open arms. Nick, her husband did my pedicure, and did heck of a great job!! He was also very funny. He was professional, knew his job well and was extremely meticulous about his work. They have 4 chairs to do their manicure, and 5 massage chairs to do their pedicure. Thankfully, the TV was on and it was not the depressing, sad, violent news. They were showing Americas got Talent. Also, soft music would have been nice to listen too. After he was done with my pedicure Jamy, took me inside their room where they do waxing. I needed to wax my under arms, and eye brows. She did a great job; and for both services they charged me $58.00. Even though they are the business owners, I still tipped them well. Place was super clean, with cute decor here and there. Parking shared with other businesses, and one gender neutral restroom also very clean. She even gave me a $2.00 off for my waxing. My only critique is that the massage that Nick did on my legs/feet was too short. Didn't even last 3 minutes. I also like the pressure to be medium to medium hard. He hand strong hands, but didn't deliver. I will definitely visit this salon when I am in the area. Highly recommend to others. Services that are being offered here are the following: waxing, manicure, manicure/pedicure, nail fill in, nail polish change and removal, and nail repair. Thank you Nick and Jamy.

The spa had great reviews online, so I was really excited for a relaxing experience. When I arrived, the staff member who greeted me was incredibly kind and helpful. She helped me choose the type of manicure I wanted, and I really appreciated how welcoming she was. The woman who did my pedicure was also nice overall. She didn't speak to me much, but I was completely okay with that. My pedicure itself was great. Unfortunately, my manicure experience was extremely disappointing. I didn't get the woman's name because she never greeted me or spoke to me at any point, but she was wearing a black shirt with pearls and bows. From the beginning, she seemed annoyed, agitated, or possibly in a rush. Throughout the manicure, I felt like I was an inconvenience. I am nine months pregnant, and while I did my best to sit still, it is understandably difficult to remain completely motionless at 39 weeks. Every time I moved or shifted slightly, she would huff and puff. She repeatedly jerked my hand around and aggressively moved the light, which made the entire experience feel uncomfortable and unnecessarily tense. I was really looking forward to the services I paid $116 for today, and unfortunately, I left feeling worse than when I walked in. That was especially disappointing because I had been looking forward to treating myself before my baby arrives. I do want to emphasize that the other staff members I interacted with were kind, the spa was clean and peaceful, and my pedicure was great. My issue was specifically with the manicure experience and the way I was treated during it. Before leaving, I asked if I could speak with a manager. The woman working at the counter was very kind and explained that the manager was not there, but assured me she would pass along my experience. I hope management takes this feedback seriously. I wasn't expecting special treatment because I'm pregnant I simply wanted to be treated with patience and basic courtesy, especially during what was supposed to be a relaxing experience.
