I just came from there one hour ago. I decided to go here because it looked like it had the best reviews so far. My hair was really damaged so my idea was to get a Bob and get rid of the split ends aka ( hay hair) . When I arrived Dianna was working on a customer but she was finishing up so my waiting time was max 5 min. ( which is not bad IMO) When it was my turn I told her that I desperately need a haircut. Instead of the Bob she asked me if I rather do layers since some of the split ends were not only on the bottom. I told her yes, might as well get it done properly. She was fantastic. I absolutely love my hair now. It looks like a layered Bob :) I only got a cut since I prefer to style my hair myself, I went home and showered and I am in love with the cut. DO NOT GO HERE. My hair stylist was sick and I needed to retouch my roots asap for an event. I found them on yelp and in spite of the very few shaky reviews on haircuts I decided to try them anyway as what I needed was simple. Seeing as it is categorized as cheap seemed like a great solution. WRONG. Biggest mistake ever. First of all, I brought two boxes of hair dye as I am very particular and have been using the same color for years. I have thick hair, so I know I need two boxes. Immediately noticed the blonde lady Diana only used one box and asked her where the other one went and she told me one box would suffice.. 15 min into dying my hair she said she was running low on the dye and that she was gonna have to go prepare the other box.. (NO DUH!) she did and then continued the process. She finished, washed my hair and blew dry. At the end, I noticed I had HUGE noticeable red marks ALL OVER MY FACE. I had to ask for her to please wipe it out and she attempted with just a damp towel, and told me to wait for my "natural oil" to come in or try to wipe with windex at home. (yup, you heard me, WINDEX). I just wanted to leave so I was like ok. Then comes time to pay and this lady charges me $80!!!!!! EIGHTY FRIGGIN DOLLARS. My hair is shoulder length, I brought my OWN hair dye, and you left me my face all marked up. WTF ARE YOU CHARGING 80 FOR?!?! Hours later the stains would not come off so I had to shower immediately so avoid a more permanent marks. In my life have I never had such a terrible experience with getting my hair dyed. Completely pissed. Total waste of fucking money. Never again. read more

Don't come here. I came in for color, I was very clear about wanting to go a few shades of brown lighter and they dyed my hair exactly the same color as I came in with. I expressed dissatisfaction with the results and they were not all sympathetic. Instead they just argued and did not offer to correct the mistake or in any way make me satisfied. Save your eyebrows, see Dianna! I went in to get my godawful eyebrows tamed and fixed by Dianna which were ruined by eyebrow "specialists" before. I had seen her work on a few faces and had been painstakingly growing my eyebrows for her to fix. She was kind enough to take me in without an appointment on a busy Saturday. She meticulously threaded and shaped my brows while I laid on the bed. I'll now be driving from the barrio of Van Nuys to Burbank just to make sure my eyebrows are always on point. During my visit she made me some ridiculously amazing Armenian coffee (way better than any espresso shot you can get at Starbucks or Coffee Bean). I would give her 5 stars for the coffee alone. Dianna was super efficient and made threading my eyebrows a relatively painless experience (beauty is pain). I'm a male, and I wanted to see whether I could get a decent haircut without going to one of the more expensive salons in the area. There are a lot of 5 star reviews for this place, so it seemed promising. The salon was empty when I arrived and empty when I left, so I am assuming I got as good a haircut as this place can offer, since she couldn't have been in a rush. She cut my hair way too short on the sides, with clippers only. She never broke out the shears on the sides. And she left me with a big mop on the top of my head, so I asked her to trim the top a little more, which she did, but she left me with an alfalfa in the back (it won't lay flat because it is now too short). The experience lasted about 10 minutes. Does my hair look terrible? No. But does this place deserve 5 stars? No. There is absolutely no way I would ever go back to this place. If you're the kind of guy who doesn't understand why shears on the sides would have been desirable, this place probably suits you fine. Or, if you're a teenager, this place is probably worth a shot. If you are a grown man who is looking to have your hair cut by someone who seems to really care about making you look good, I think you should look elsewhere. This is a $10 haircut. Don't let the 5 star reviews fool you. ================== Edit: I noticed after I left the review that she had cut into the hairline above my right ear with the clippers and raised my hairline by at least one half of a centimeter. I went here today to cut my long hair, no appointment, no wait. The lady who cut my hair, her name is Seda (I don't really know how to spell her name, but this is how I pronounce her name), she is really sweet lady. My hair was dry and had bad split ends so she did the trimming and put some layers and also cut my bange. It was very quick cut like 15 minutes maybe 20 mins.. Everything is $15 and I am happy, I never need a complicated haircut, it has been always a regular cut. Parking is not bad, I went on today which is Thursday at around 6pm. I saw 2-3 empty parking spots. This place is located in the middle of other stores, like Subway, Chinese food, Pizza place, Dry Cleaner/Laundry. This is my 3rd time seeing Dianna. She is fantastic! The salon itself is unassuming on the outside, but when you enter, it's beautifully apportioned with gorgeous framed mirrors and inviting coffee and pastry selection. I have had botched haircuts 3 or 4 times in my life and have a huge fear of hairdressers. My old stylist capitalized on that fear and charged me outrageous sums of money and I still followed her from salon to salon and finally she had me come to her house. I had to end that relationship. I came across Dianna through another stylist who has very high ratings but not flexible appointment times. Dianna cuts the other stylist's hair and has great hours. I have to use the weekends to come in. The first time I came, I just asked Dianna to cut my hair in long layers. She did a fantastic job! The second time, I showed her a picture of a specific style and was pleasantly pleased when she gave me an exact replica hairstyle. She doesn't cut too much and when she says she's going to take an inch off, it is an inch, not two inches like some hairdressers like to do. She's also fantastic for young girls' haircuts. My 10 yo daughter loves coming to see her! She does a great job with eyebrows too. I recently went elsewhere to get my brows done and I wish I had of waited. She has male clientele as well. Do not be surprised at how quick she can finish a cut. My hair is down to the middle of my back and she gave me a cut and blowout in about 35 minutes without any sacrifice to quality. First of: Wow. The staff here are so friendly and very very understanding to what you want for your hair and makeup. They can recreate any look that you show them with ease! I scheduled a hair and makeup appointment here for my prom and I don't regret it one bit. My makeup stayed all throughout the night (and mind you, I got my hair & makeup done at 6am and prom started at 7 and ended at 11, and we ended the night at 3 am) and my very very straight hair was able to stay curled ans in place all throughout the night too! She cut it styled it colored it and made me look gorgeous. She is very very good in what she does.She is accommodating at all times.
