Lizzie cuts my 4 year old's hair and we both love the experience so much- she gets roughly 2 cuts a year and we switched to Lizzie last year after some crazy kids salon experiences. Kids salons are a total nightmare and are overstimulating to the max for my kid and for me. Lizzie has a small box of toys for kids to use, she's super quick, great with the kids, and my daughter LOVES that she has pink/lavender/blue hair. She makes thematic bows they can choose for the season and it's just a really cute little touch. I went to yelp for suggestions for a new hairstylist. I found and booked one with Am er on Thursday afternoon. She suggested, via message that I use this other site to schedule, which I did. It did say there was a penalty for less than 24 hours cancellation. I had an emergency and couldn't make it and let her know Thursday night. My appointment was Friday at 2:45 pm. I absolutely love this salon and my hairstylist, Amber. The salon is so comfortable and spacious and best of all: FREE PARKING. There's free wine, candy, coffee, and water. It's just a lovely environment. Now onto Amber. She is incredible. Lizzie is the most amazingly gentle, compassionate, sweet, and accommodating stylist. I found her on Instagram and I'm so glad I did because she's been the perfect fit for my 4 year old daughter. Like so many of us parents, the first few haircuts I took my mini to were at children's salons. But the experience was always different and the stylist was always different. And on top of that, I felt stuck because it's hard to find a stylist at a "regular" salon that will see children. Needless to say, when I came across Lizzie's IG I was thrilled! My daughter is sensory-sensitive, so one of the hardest things has been making her feel comfortable and relaxed during a haircut. I have always wanted to find someone that she could grow with but that's honestly proved very challenging until now. I thought if she could build a relationship with someone it would make things so much easier, a friendly face. Even as adults we seek that with our hair stylists, so why shouldn't we accommodate children the same way? From the minute we walked in the door, Lizzie was an absolute dream. She had contacted me beforehand to discuss my daughter and to make sure she was best prepared to accommodate her. We were seated immediately and Lizzie already had a sensory box out for her. I brought my stepdaughter for a kids cut with Lizzie today. I made the appointment online, but when we got there, the style my daughter was looking was typically something that would be a women's cut because it wasn't a quick, basic cut. Lizzie couldn't have been nicer about it. I let her know if we needed to pay more, I absolutely would, but she charged for a kid's cut despite taking lots of time and adding tinsel, which my daughter LOVED!
