Kristin reached out and scheduled a correction appointment, and I appreciate that she personally tried to improve the haircut while being super attentive. The cut does look a bit better now, but the original haircut was much shorter than I wanted and uneven, so more length had to be cut to fix it. In total, I lost about 5-6 inches, which was very upsetting since I been working hard to grow it out. I also expected the correction to include a finished style or blow dry, especially because I had an event afterward, but my hair was left puffy and not fully styled. I also want to be honest that I felt uncomfortable with the situation around my Yelp review. During the appointment, I felt pushed to delete my review, and the interaction felt overwhelming. I understand the salon cares about its reputation, but I believe customers should be able to share honest experiences and decide for themselves if they want to update or remove a review. I appreciate the attempt to make things right, but overall this was still a stressful experience for me. I genuinely wish I could leave three stars because I appreciate that an effort was made to correct my haircut. Unfortunately, the correction felt more like trying to minimize the original mistake than truly making things right, so I don't feel comfortable rating the experience any higher. read more

I've recently become a new customer and I'm looking forward to my next appointment! I found out about Dylan Keith Salon via a friend on Facebook. He took his daughter there and shared some photos. I've been waiting since January 2025 to find a reliable hair salon and hair dresser, while letting my natural hair color work itself out. I went in during my lunch hour on April 15th or 16th and was able to schedule a consultation with Joseph Bitarr for Saturday the 18th. From being greeted right away by the ladies at the receptionist desk, to being seated with Joseph and having a thoughtful discussion about what would work best for my situation, I could not have been more pleased. Finding a great hair salon is like finding a Secret Garden: A part of me wants to share the wonderful news about my discovery, and anther part of me wants to keep it quiet. The more successful they become, the busier they'll get, and the busier they get, the harder it's going to be for me to get my hair done! I'll end up having to book my appointments weeks in advance. My only complaint is that it's not easy to find free parking. I had to pay $16.00 to park at the parking lot across the street. I may have found a solution, but I'm keeping that a secret! And yes, it's totally legal. :-P I think I've found my new 'home' for my hair color and maintenance. My hair dresser, Joseph, is fabulous! I have gone to so many hair stylists in my life and plenty of good ones but I can say sincerely that she is in a different league, she takes her time is a perfectionist and an artist. I had a consultation with Robbie and discussed what I wanted in detail. I told her to make sure to color my grey around my forehead and I explained to her that I wear my hair up every day and to please color and highlight around my hairline. I also came in with brassy roots that were a quarter of my hair, and the rest was bleached blonde. She seemed positive I would have a great outcome. I booked an appointment for this morning at 9. She kept telling this amazing color mushroom works on everyone. She seemed confident. I learned more about her in the 4 hours I was there, than the people I grew up with. She was very chatty. Finally at 1, 4 hours later I walked outside to see my hair. It was really awful. Uneven, brassy, hugely disappointing. I told her of my unhappiness, and she asked me to come in again tomorrow . The receptionist also came outside to add to the conversation. They both told me that they thought it looked good. Having two people talking to me was unnecessary and made me more upset. First time he cut my hair, I just walked in hoping someone would take me and he managed to do it while coloring someone else's hair and did it super fast and made it look great! The cut lasted for 6 months. He also helped me achieve an epic 80s hairstyle for my 40th bday party. He can do it all. He is super methodical and has amazing attention to detail. Okay I like to wait a week or so to let my hair settle and really get the vibe of it before I ever leave a review (if I even do).... I have to say, it's hard to find a new salon and I based my choice to go here off of the reviews and thankfully the reviews were legit. I went in with a blonde that I absolutely hated and Joseph was so attentive to what I asked for. He brought me down to a BEAUTIFUL hazelnut "bronde" if you will. I genuinely feel like a Victoria Secret Angel. My thing for Joseph specifically is that, a lot of colorists have good color theory, but how many of them consider your skin tone these days? I feel like not many. They just do the color in your reference photo to a T without explaining it'll probably make you look sick.... Joseph did not. It had been a year since I'd seen any hairdresser, and my curly hair desperately needed fixing. I reached out to Dylan Keith Salon in Toluca Lake for a first-time appointment, since it's in walking distance from me, and after texting back-and-forth with the receptionist on what I wanted to have done and when I could come in, they assigned me to Joseph. During the consultation with Joseph, I shared what I wanted done (warm brown with red tones or auburn & haircut), so my curls would have a more dynamic look to them. After thoughtfully listening to what I wanted, the two of us found a hair color that would look great on me (warm mocha brown base with rose gold highlights). He examined all the different areas of my hair and explained in detail the steps he would need to do to achieve the look we were going for. Having done hair for 30+ years, his depth of knowledge for the specific products he wanted to use was very reassuring, so I knew I was in expert hands. I went here for the first and went to Robbie- I have curly/coily hair and have been looking for someone that knows how to work with curls. I came in with straight hair to get a DRY cut because I wasn't sure if she was good with curls- turns out she's amazing with ALL hair.
