I'm attaching photos because they show the haircut better than I can describe it. I'm very disappointed both with the service and with how my concern was handled afterward.

I could smell her and at that point I realized I'm not coming here again. What she decides to do is none of my business, but while you're working on a clients hair... is very unprofessional to say the least!!! My hair was over processed, damaged, super fragile and thin! I absolutely can't even style it or put heat on it because of the condition that it's in. I delayed this review because I wasn't too sure I wanted to leave a bad review on someone's business but if she wasn't considerate of her client and business, then I think this review is fair.

A few days later, after washing and styling my hair the way I normally do, I noticed how off the balayage looked. My roots already appeared very grown out--almost halfway down my head. I understand balayage is meant to grow out naturally, but this looked like it had been done months ago when it had only been a week. Even my family commented that it looked grown out. I called the salon to see if they could fix the top portion, and I was told my stylist, Angel, would call me back--but I never heard from her. Overall, I'm really disappointed. Not only was the service expensive, but the results didn't meet expectations, and there was no follow-up or effort to make it right.

I've been burned before. Somewhere along the way, I've been programmed to think scarcity of availability for salons means they're better quality, since the appointments are seemingly more in demand. Thankfully, my nerves were quickly quelled. Emily was so kind, personable, and NORMAL. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable, the salon was welcoming and the color service? Phenomenal. There's a moment during a foil color treatment where you have no idea what you're going to look like in 10 minutes. Not a clue. It's a kind of stress and anxiety that's hard to explain unless you've already personally experienced the bowl rinse out after a color treatment. Wondering, have I just made a terrible mistake? I don't live nearby, so I made a long drive and wasted both my time and gas for nothing. What made the experience even worse was how it was handled afterward. I reached out multiple times by phone and email requesting a refund, and my calls and emails were repeatedly ignored. It was incredibly frustrating to be met with complete silence instead of a simple acknowledgment or apology. When someone finally addressed the situation, I was offered a free session as if that would make up for everything. It felt like they viewed this as a minor inconvenience, when in reality they completely wasted my time, failed to communicate, and then ignored my repeated attempts to resolve the issue. My biggest issue isn't just the missed appointment--it's the complete lack of professionalism and respect for customers. If a business can't be bothered to notify clients that no one will be there, and then ignores multiple requests afterward, why would anyone trust them with their time or money? This experience was handled poorly from beginning to end. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend a business that shows so little respect for its customers.

I highly recommend Marcie Sperling for all your hair needs. I can be demanding and I expect the best---I get that with Marcie. It's taken me a very very long time to find a stylist I could actually communicate my needs with so easily and with assurance I'd get what we discussed w/o surprises. It's such a wonderful feeling knowing you're in well trained and highly skilled hands. She's always upbeat, happy, and incredibly professional. She never leaves you wondering where she is or what's going on. She always has an opinion or ideas when you want one. Her prices are very fair and reasonable and she'll bend over backwards to get ya in. She makes getting your hair done a happy experience and you'll leave the salon feeling like a million bucks! A Tamara Dahill Salon's newest addition Natalie Bolton is an amazing esthetician! I recently had an excellent facial! Since I'm a makeup artist, I'm very picky about my facial skin. It takes a lot for me to be impressed with a facial. Most of the time I walk out and I can't even tell anything was done nor do I notice anything different over the next few days. However, after Natalie had completed my facial treatment, I was glowing and felt extremely clean. I just moved here from Canada and I haven't had my hair touched in a few months and I always only let my hairdresser back home touch my hair!! So when I came to Howie, I was in desperate need some TLC and was very trustworthy! As soon as he took one look at my hair, he knew what we were going to do with it. Im a new blonde, so it was a very harsh dye job before hand since we had to do it right from my natural dark colour. Now it actually looks like there is life in it!! I've been going to Alison @ Tamara Dahill Salon for over 3 years now. She does my color, highlights, cuts and styles my hair. I get so many compliments as to how natural and shiny it looks. I'm a brunette and Alison suggested caramel highlights but she would do anything I wanted -- just have to ask! I tend to not like red tones and she listens. Also what is fun is if I want to leave the salon with bouncy shoulder lengthed curls for a fun look or flat ironed sleek, I get what I want and feel great. I have a massive amount of frizzy curls in need of TLC. I checked out some curly head sites and came across A Tamara Dahill Salon, specifically Lisa Ruezga. I made a last minute call and she was available. She was so accommodating and helpful. She asked me a couple of questions and came up with a ton of useful advice and actually listened when I said I wanted to keep my length. Without any pressure she gave me what I wanted and even made my curls behave. I wish I could go to her on a weekly basis but they are a little pricey for weekly. I will definitely be going back. EXCELLENT SALON. CURLY HAIRED GIRLS TAKE NOTE!!! I have thick, curly hair. I also have had the same stylist for years and years, but recently she has been unavailable and I really needed a cut. I should have come here first. Sadly, I went to a salon closer to my home and immediately regretted it. I looked like I had two completely different haircuts. I was in town last week visiting family and friends and decided to accompany a friend of mine to get her hair done. I expected to be there for an entire life time waiting; however, to my surprise the young lady that was helping my friend did a timely and outstanding job. I'm a recording artist, and my CD is coming out sometime this next year. My manager Billy Clark told me about Evelise when we were talking about my hair for the cover of my CD. He sent me, and i absolutely LOVE my hair. I knew she knew what I wanted from the first word that came out of her mouth. Well, I had never had my hair colored with highlights before, so the whole process was new to me and I wasn't really sure how it would turn out, but Rachel Strutt was wonderful! I just have to say that Evelise Batiz-Figueroa AKA "The Hair Fairy" is a genious. She transformed my hair and my life! I totally recommend her Brazilian Blowout to anyone! I have been using Susie Mandrell at Tamara Dahill for my hair color for a long time. She uses the best products and really makes my hair beautiful. I often get compliments on the color. Few of my friends recommend me to get this done since I keep complaining of how bad my hair got ruined after bleaching it. Right after the treatment my hair looked fabulous, like Japanese hair;) straight, flawless and glowy. They told me to allow 48 hours with no heavy sweat or washing my hair. So I did. Unfortunately the affect didn't last longer then 3 days, I ended up washing it only after 4 days and now its completely back to normal (dry, wild and freezy ) as if I haven't gotten anything done. All my friends say that the strong affect should last for at lease a week and afterwards for couple of month. I would not pay over 200$ for this treatment. I don't know which materials they use but unfortunately it doesn't last

Gaby is absolutely meticulous about COVID precautions and let me say - I have pretty high standards when it comes to that kind of thing. But what's really great is the attention she's able to give to every appointment. It's a 1-on-1 visit so if you're like me and don't have a clue about hair styles, she's able to answer any questions you might not feel comfortable asking in a busier salon environment. It's like confiding in a friend. Ultimately it's probably the best haircut of my life. She makes sure you actually get what you need to have long term benefits and leave happy, not just cut your hair and boot you out. Gaby creates a comfortable space where you feel like you can be yourself and talk to her. I know many people who have gone to a salon and felt like they couldn't talk to their stylist. Then they end up leaving with a cut that made them cry in their car. With Gaby it isn't like this at all. With her you feel comfortable to say "Hey, let's change this a little" without feeling like you are offending her or being rude. Which, in my opinion, is crucial to a good experience. The fact that Gaby only takes one client at a time might feel inconvenient for some, but it makes the experience so worth it. It's your time to feel relaxed and taken care of. It really makes a wonderful experience. Being able to do whatever you'd like while getting your services without worrying about bothering others is a big plus in my book. Also she's a good conversationalist so my three hours flew by. I can't rave about Gaby's Hair enough!
