The hairstylist I saw left my hair beautiful. BUT it was close to $600! It was a trim and highlights that was it. Ask before coming here how much it will run. I usually pay around $380. Even though she did an amazing job, I wouldn't say it's worth 2 car payments. The receptionist was not nice either, pretty snobby. Go somewhere else where people are kind and not snobby. read more

First timer here! I had a wonderful first haircut with Cinthia Origgi at Mane Fixation in Studio City! The salon has a great vibe and was quite busy when I arrived, but I was warmly greeted and made to feel welcome by one of the hairstylist. Cinthia was busy but she checked in with me, offered a drink, and made sure I felt taken care of. Her attention to each client really stood out because she made sure all her clients were happy. I showed her my hair goals, which were bangs and a straight even cut. She gave me honest and helpful suggestions on what would work best for my hair. She gave me a softer bob cut which helped cleaned up my grown-out old haircut, and added layers to support my hair growth plan with my bangs. I trust in her as a professional and wouldn't expect anything less. I love the result! Cinthia is not only talented but also incredibly kind and thoughtful. I really really hate leaving bad reviews, especially since the owner was very apologetic and refunded me, but it's been about 9 months since my haircut here and I'm still traumatized by it. I asked Michael to give me long layers and to not cut much off, and when I saw him blunt cutting a significant chunk of my hair, I casually mentioned how short it was, and his response several times was something along the lines of "it's summer, it'll be nicer shorter." Because he cut so bluntly at first, his attempt to do layers made everything shorter and shorter. I was anxious the whole time. He didn't listen to what I wanted, he did what he wanted. The worst part is that the left side looks normal and the right side looks terrible (see pics), so it wasn't just that he didn't do what I asked for, it also seems like a skill issue or he just didn't care. I was his last appointment of the day, so maybe that's why. But like, who would let someone leave a salon without checking if a haircut is even?? I didn't want him to try to fix it because of what he had already done, so I said it looked great and rushed out of there. I was so disappointed because I chose Michael based on his portfolio. I sent the salon an email, begging them to fix it, and to her credit, Cinthia was SO nice and helpful. Not only did she refund me, she checked in with me over text, gave me a hair oil that she said would help with hair growth, and had me come in when Michael wasn't there to try to fix the cut. Unfortunately though, my top layers were so short it would've been impossible to give me what I originally wanted without cutting more length off. She tried her best, and it got slightly better, but my top layers still look terrible from the way he cut them. They sit a different way the rest of my hair and they are uneven. I won't be returning here, but if you choose to go here, definitely choose Cinthia if you want to have a good experience in the first place. Overall though, this is a hair salon, and my haircut was bad, so I can't in good conscience give a neutral, 3 star review. I'd probably give 2.5 stars though because of Cinthia's top notch customer service. It would be 1 star without her. read more

Corey is a master of color! I am so happy with my recent hair treatment. It's probably the best color treatment I've ever had! She understood what I was looking for, to get some highlights to make it easier as my gray (which is really white) grows in. Lauren (IG @locreatedit) is literally THE BEST! I was referred to her from a friend who has been seeing her religiously for a while. Vibes are always immaculate and she makes sure you look amazing! The first time I had a cut booked with her my hair was pretty long and damaged (pic below) from using a brush blow dryer without heat protectant for years. She took her time to educate me on hair products that would work for me and how to style my hair. I literally didn't even know how curly my hair was until she showed me how to work product in and style it. The last cut I booked we did a partial highlight and went shorter (pic below) and I absolutely love it! Highly recommend her! read more

After seeing all of the rave reviews of this place I had to try it out! I was searching for a new hairdresser because seeing my old one back in my home town once a year was not going to cut it if I wanted to do more fun things with my hair. I was SO nervous for my first appointment since I've literally been going to the same person all of my life. I booked a haircut appointment with Michael and he did a fantastic job! I decided I wanted to cut my hair the shortest it's ever been in my life, and Michael gave great advice on what would be best for my hair type. Since I have fine hair, he added texture while still keeping the body of my hair intact. I'm absolutely in love with my shoulder length hair now, and will definitely be returning. This salon looks really experienced in fun colors so I might be trying that out as well on my next visit. One thing to note, I had the first appointment of the day and the staff was about 15 min late to opening the shop. Totally not a big deal, but it's worth mentioning that if you have a 9am/9:30am appointment to plan additional time in case they're a little late opening up shop. This place is also a little on the expensive side. My haircut with Michael was $120 with tip which isn't that bad. But some of the more experienced hairdressers charge $140+ for a haircut (not including tip). I'm not sure if this is just LA pricing but for having one of the easiest types of hair to cut that price is a little steep for me. They have metered street parking out front, so make sure you arrive early to secure a spot. You will have less issues finding a spot the earlier your appointment is. read more

I've been going to Mane Fixation since 2020, possibly 2019. I am really infrequent in my visits (1-2 times a year), but this is the only place I will go. I typically try to book an appointment with Cinthia, but if she isn't available, I've also seen Veronica and a couple others at the salon. All the staff I've seen have done a great job on my hair, and I put my full trust into their talent. In 2021 for Mother's Day, my mom flew into LA visit me and I took her to Mane Fixation so we both could get a haircut and color. My mom is the worst self critic, but she had nothing bad to say after her hair was done - she looked and felt stunning. Most recently I saw Cinthia do update my balayage and give me some unicorn hair. I am 11 months postpartum and had not treated myself to a new hairstyle in a long time. It's really easy to consult with her about ideas I have, and she has great suggestions. read more

Came to this salon because of their five star reviews, but did not have a five star experience (not even sure I had a three star experience but it felt very mid so that's what I'm going with). Opted for a drastic hair change and was met with shock and reactions from the stylists that almost talked me out of something I've been building the courage to do for close to six months. Trusted the stylist to execute anyway, but ended up leaving with something I wasn't in love with and had to fix when I got home. While in the chair I witnessed a dog poop on the floor and my stylist left to clean it up with paper towel and Clorox disinfectant. No one mopped. I was mid-cut so couldn't leave and no one feels comfortable saying anything that would compromise their haircut so I stayed silent. Didn't receive a wash or dry. Had hair still falling from my head and all over my neck while being rushed to check out because the next client had arrived. The Yelp page advertises "having some wine", but I wasn't even offered water. I've never been here for coloring so I can't speak to that side of the business, but if you're looking for a short haircut or anything along the lines of a pixie please note that only one person in the salon (as I was told) knows how to use clippers. All of that being said, I'm glad I made the decision to cut my hair, but I wish the service matched what was advertised in the other reviews. read more

I got my hair cut by Brittney and I'm very disappointed and feel sad about how my hair cut turned out. I wanted a short wolf cut and made sure to specify I didn't want much cut off. So much was cut off especially from the face framing and my bangs and it makes me feel terrible whenever I look in the mirror. I found Kim Cohen through Mane Fixation's Instagram page when I was looking to go copper/red. I'd never dyed my entire head before, so I was nervous - but it turned out amazing and I've kept the color for 8 months now! Kim's professional, kind, and has the knowledge/skill to craft the perfect color to flatter your skin tone. My hair has remained healthy throughout multiple touch-ups and I get compliments on the color all the time. :) As a bonus, the salon itself is spacious and well-decorated, which adds to the experience. Firstly, I want to start with I am not a girly lady and my hair doesn't get any attention. So. When it was suggested I do some self care for my mental health, nails and facials didn't suit my low maintenance style. But I called at 11 and booked a hair washing for 2pm. I had no expectations. I arrived to a lovely dog and 2 lovely ladies who took the time to give me a bit of nurturing. I can not express with words the appreciation I had for these ladies. I have not blown my hair for months and the act of someone taking care of me for that short time was more important than I can express. As I went to pay they said it was a gift to me. Women being able to share some tenderness was more than a therapist has healed in many sessions. Thank you so deeply for seeing me and helping me thru a bad day! read more

I made an appointment for the first time today at this shabby salon for a blow-dry & iron. I received the confirmation via text the previous day. When I arrived, my stylist wasn't in the salon yet and the lady at the first desk confirmed that she would be arriving soon. When I was waiting, I received a text from the stylist saying there was a booking error and that she wasn't booked to come in on that day. This situation was handled very poorly and I don't advise waisting your time booking an appointment at this salon. I want to also add that I drove in pouring rain for a no-show. They obviously don't know how to run a successful business or skills in scheduling a basic appointment. read more

Absolutely love going to Cinthia! Her trims, full haircuts and colors are great. I've gone from waist long hair to shoulder length and loved it! She's got great attention to detail and makes me feel like a million dollars when I walk out of there. I've got dark hair and love how she colors me! Cinthia is also a ray of sunshine. Belen has been doing my cut and color since 2021 and never ceases to amaze me. She has a strong sensibility in color theory and getting my hair to the perfect shade, and I'm always receiving compliments about my hair from customers at work or strangers in public. She used to work in downtown LA but I'm happy she's at Mane Fixation since I'm usually in Burbank! Mane Fixation is a mellow environment and salon that takes walk-ins and everyone who works there seem friendly! They also have the cutest shop dog!
