First timer here! I had a wonderful first haircut with Cinthia Origgi at Mane Fixation in Studio City! The salon has a great vibe and was quite busy when I arrived, but I was warmly greeted and made to feel welcome by one of the hairstylist. Cinthia was busy but she checked in with me, offered a drink, and made sure I felt taken care of. Her attention to each client really stood out because she made sure all her clients were happy. I showed her my hair goals, which were bangs and a straight even cut. She gave me honest and helpful suggestions on what would work best for my hair. She gave me a softer bob cut which helped cleaned up my grown-out old haircut, and added layers to support my hair growth plan with my bangs. I trust in her as a professional and wouldn't expect anything less. I love the result! Cinthia is not only talented but also incredibly kind and thoughtful. Highly recommend her--I'll definitely be back!
I really really hate leaving bad reviews, especially since the owner was very apologetic and refunded me, but it's been about 9 months since my haircut here and I'm still traumatized by it. I asked Michael to give me long layers and to not cut much off, and when I saw him blunt cutting a significant chunk of my hair, I casually mentioned how short it was, and his response several times was something along the lines of "it's summer, it'll be nicer shorter." Because he cut so bluntly at first, his attempt to do layers made everything shorter and shorter. I was anxious the whole time. He didn't listen to what I wanted, he did what he wanted. The worst part is that the left side looks normal and the right side looks terrible (see pics), so it wasn't just that he didn't do what I asked for, it also seems like a skill issue or he just didn't care. I was his last appointment of the day, so maybe that's why. But like, who would let someone leave a salon without checking if a haircut is even?? I didn't want him to try to fix it because of what he had already done, so I said it looked great and rushed out of there. I was so disappointed because I chose Michael based on his portfolio. I sent the salon an email, begging them to fix it, and to her credit, Cinthia was SO nice and helpful. Not only did she refund me, she checked in with me over text, gave me a hair oil that she said would help with hair growth, and had me come in when Michael wasn't there to try to fix the cut. Unfortunately though, my top layers were so short it would've been impossible to give me what I originally wanted without cutting more length off. She tried her best, and it got slightly better, but my top layers still look terrible from the way he cut them. They sit a different way the rest of my hair and they are uneven. I won't be returning here, but if you choose to go here, definitely choose Cinthia if you want to have a good experience in the first place. Overall though, this is a hair salon, and my haircut was bad, so I can't in good conscience give a neutral, 3 star review. I'd probably give 2.5 stars though because of Cinthia's top notch customer service. It would be 1 star without her.
Corey is a master of color! I am so happy with my recent hair treatment. It's probably the best color treatment I've ever had! She understood what I was looking for, to get some highlights to make it easier as my gray (which is really white) grows in. She also did a great cut and I haven't felt this good about my hair in a very long time. Photos were taken after a long day and still looks fabulous! Thank you, Corey.
Lauren (IG @locreatedit) is literally THE BEST! I was referred to her from a friend who has been seeing her religiously for a while. Vibes are always immaculate and she makes sure you look amazing! The first time I had a cut booked with her my hair was pretty long and damaged (pic below) from using a brush blow dryer without heat protectant for years. She took her time to educate me on hair products that would work for me and how to style my hair. I literally didn't even know how curly my hair was until she showed me how to work product in and style it. The last cut I booked we did a partial highlight and went shorter (pic below) and I absolutely love it! Highly recommend her!
Lauren is one of the best hair stylists around! I've been going to her for a little over 2 years and she's taken me from a bleach blonde to redhead and back to a honey blonde with no problems. She listens to your requests, explains treatments and is very gentle with your hair. She is extremely helpful and attentive and I always have a great time going! 10/10
Michael is a great hair stylist and really listened to what I wanted and made sure I was satisfied! He was very nice and did a great job, will be going back to him again

Belen has been doing my cut and color since 2021 and never ceases to amaze me. She has a strong sensibility in color theory and getting my hair to the perfect shade, and I'm always receiving compliments about my hair from customers at work or strangers in public. She used to work in downtown LA but I'm happy she's at Mane Fixation since I'm usually in Burbank! Mane Fixation is a mellow environment and salon that takes walk-ins and everyone who works there seem friendly! They also have the cutest shop dog! Pics are from my most recent hair appointment with Belen! I opted out of my haircut this time but I'll definitely be coming back soon! read more

I was looking for a new salon in the area and I think I found the one! The whole staff is very professional and welcoming. There's even a cute doggie to sit with you until it's time for your appointment. The whole place has great vibes - love the decor. My stylist, William, was so awesome! I was going from long hair to short/medium hair so it was a big change for me but I truly enjoyed the outcome! The style and the cut made my hair look so fresh and healthy! Thanks William! read more

Woooww! What a great experience! I was feeling bleh about my hair and hadn't done anything about it for a while so I decided to do some research and came across this place, and so happy I did! I booked a last minute hair cut and blow out with Vanessa, one of the stylists here and she is incredible. She is so friendly, understanding and honest! She cut my hair while dry because I wanted to layer it and I had never had that done before, but I understand why it's so important now! She showed me some tricks for more volume when I do my own blow dry and I was really thankful for that! I have an appointment coming up for color and I'm super excited! Cinthia is magic! The whole experience at Mane Fixation is a dream. I have tried going somewhere closer to home and always end up back with Cinthia to make me happy. From start to finish, you are taken care of at the salon. They offer you a selection of drinks from water to coffee to wine. The vibes are just on point. Add to that the magical blending that Cinthia does on my hair and the perfect cut each time, and I am hooked. Trust me, you will not leave disappointed! I have naturally curly, very fine hair which can be very difficult to style and requires a gentle touch especially when it comes to color. When I first came to Mane Fixation my hair was dry, and my curls were frizzy and lacked luster. Not to mention my color was a super dull dark ashy blonde. Cinthia has transformed my hair into long, blonde supple locks. I love my color and my curls have honestly never looked better! I'm so grateful for Cinthias hair mastery! She really has the magic touch and I love the vibe at Mane Fixation too. Clean, upbeat, fresh and on trend. I went in today to get my balayage, roots, and hair cut before my 30th birthday. I made a reservation just this week, so I wasn't able to get Veronica who cut my hair to perfection last time. Luckily, Lola was available for the lengthy process I needed done on my hair. She was really nice, so I'm not happy about writing this review, but perhaps it can help someone else. I thoroughly explained the state of my hair the day before--it's complications, areas with box dye, areas I definitely needed covered up, my current highlights, and sent two inspiration photos for the color. I wanted to go for a summer vibes balayage and just lighten it a notch to a lighter brown, since I know my hair doesn't like to lighten too much anyway. I spent 5.5 hours at the salon. Lola was thorough and patient. My color turned out nothing like what I wanted, and instead of lifting the current highlights I already had, I ended up coming out with much darker hair. Of course, after spending $400 (post-tip) for winter hair instead of summer hair, I was trying to hold my tears back. It's not ugly at all, it's just VERY dark and absolutely nothing close to what I wanted, as I've literally had dark hair all of my life and it makes me look gothic with my light skin. I think in my case I should have just saved my money, because not even a professional can lift my hair. Lola was trying to be understanding about my being upset, and tried explaining why my hair wouldn't lift. Perhaps it's just science. It's hard to say if I'll go back. I'm completely discouraged from going to salons at all at this point. Perhaps I'll just let my hair go natural after this. I'm attaching my before, inspo, and after photos. Again, nothing against her technique, she did what she could. Her haircut was good as well. COVID regulations: they're good about it and stay clean. They take your temp at the door. read more

I LOVE this Salon! I have been coming for many years. My stylist did leave but I found Maddie. She brought my hair back to life after being extremely damaged at another salon. So far, so good. It had been over a year since I got my last haircut due to the pandemic. My ends were so dry and scraggly. And boy, did it feel good to get something as simple as hair trim! It's definitely not something I will take for granted. I sent the salon a message on a Wednesday and was able to get an appointment for that Friday with Lola. She was great--very nice and friendly. She was able to offer solid advice when I asked for her opinion on whether or not to get layers. She also provided helpful tips on reducing heat damage to my hair when styling. For a cut, wash, and blowout, I paid $75 plus tip. I was pretty happy with it and my hair just felt so much healthier after taking off some inches. The salon was easy to find. It's in a shopping strip right on Ventura Blvd and faces the street. It's paid 2hr street parking only so make sure you watch your time and add money if you have to. There doesn't seem to be any sort of receptionist at the front and I don't know who manages the phone--I had called earlier to confirm my appointment, but no one answered. Luckily, there was no problem when I arrived for my appointment. Despite that, my overall experience was positive. I'll likely come back since I'm seriously considering getting a bayalage for the summer! read more

Had a cut and balayage done by Lizette just before the holidays. I absolutely love the way my hair turned out and will be back soon to have my hair touched up. Lizette was really nice and extremely knowledgeable, I have very thin hair and she gave me a great cut that makes hair look fuller than it is. I went in a few weeks before a trip to Europe so she made hair a bit darker so that by the time I was on my trip it would fade to the color I wanted. I loved the way it looked in the salon and especially loved the way it began to fade while I was traveling. I would def recommend you ask for Lizette! Side note: There's a ton of street parking in the area , which is a huge plus! read more

PRO: Super easy to get an appointment with the owner, Cynthia. She offered same day or next. Plenty of meter parking Friendly staff and owner Cute and clean looking salon Skilled styling CON: Didn't get a shapely haircut, just took length off in 10 minutes Very little communication about what she was doing or what I wanted Didn't wash my hair... I repeat, she did NOT wash my hair!!! Full story: I moved out of state for 3 years and didn't dare get a haircut. When I got back to LA my usual stylist was booked 4 months out. I decided I really wanted a haircut so I went here. Huge mistake. Cynthia had me come in for a consult where she sold me products she wanted me to use before our appointment next day. When I showed up for my cut she had her assistant blowout my already dry hair (fyi this is very damaging). She then asked how much I was okay with cutting. We settled on a length and she stuck to it, great. However, there is no shape or texture to enhance my hair type. The cut looks like I put in a scrunchy and had my husband chop off the extra. I didn't notice how awful the haircut was when I was in the chair because she quickly started styling it. I was so confused by the order of events but I went ahead and trusted her. The curling and styling she did with products made my hair look amazing but the cut is ridiculous. Anyway, I put two hours in the meter because my hair appointments are usually around 90 minutes. I was in and out of here in under 30 minutes per the meter. I was excited to have a more reasonable length and the styling was great while it lasted but as the curling iron curls came undone I realized I spend over $200 (150 cut+ 35tip + $80 in over priced products) for a cut I could have done myself. Do not make the mistake I made, get a haircut at a better place. I think the reviews for this place are more for color. read more

Came to this salon for the first time last week to see Kim, who I have been coming to for years. The salon is super cute with lots of plants and crystals for a chill vibe, and everyone was super nice! Kim SLAYED my hair per usual: she took my yucky dark brown growth, embedded with months old bleach and purple dye (lol ew) and painted in a bunch of cool blond tones and brought me up to a level 7 blonde! Images attached. Man, I love it! She always does such a good job, and can do all the fun colors like purple and blue too. I heard the salon takes new customers regularly so if you want to try a new stylist or a new color def call and ask for Kim! read more

Absolutely love this salon! I go to Kim who is an absolute hair coloring god!! The expertise and full attention to detail I cannot put into words. I have never came across such a truly talented and dedicated hair specialist. Kim never disappoints and I always leave with stunning hair. I don't trust just anyone with my hair and I know every time I come see her I will leave with breathtaking hair. Anything I ask, Kim is able to execute! I also want to add that I change colors frequently and my hair is long, healthy and gorgeous. No damage! The pictures speak for themselves! How much is hair conditioning treatment? My hair is awfully tangly and I'm looking for a conditioning treatment that will make it silky again.
Conditioning treatments start at $25. We have a few different masks that are amazing at treating dry, over processed, or damaged hair!
How much would a consultation be for hair? I have brunnette hair thats different colors and i want it to just be one color and then lighten it to a light brown instead of dark?
