The back was visibly uneven, the shape was inconsistent from one side to the other, and once I got home and was able to really look at it, I could see how poorly the cut had been executed. I paid $120 plus tip, so I expected a professional haircut and a much better result. I contacted my stylist, Michael, afterward and asked for a refund because I did not feel comfortable having him cut it again. I did not receive a response to my refund request. I'm attaching photos because they show the haircut better than I can describe it. I'm very disappointed both with the service and with how my concern was handled afterward.

I confirmed the price with her ahead of our appointment and once again during our consultation. I had also received a discount code from her that she said she would apply to the visit. Midway through our appointment while we were making small talk she abruptly informed me that she would be charging me more than what she herself had confirmed during the consultation. It came out of nowhere and was very disorienting. When I reminded her of the discount, she made something up on the spot about how the new higher price still reflected the discount. It was super shady and vague and I felt extremely uncomfortable. I could not leave because my head was wrapped in foil and bleach when she chose to announce this change. The color also did not come out the way we had discussed and she pretty much rushed me out of the chair while we were still within our appointment window and kept making passive aggressive jabs about how she had other clients coming in and how she should charge me even more. It's clear that she was disorganized and had not planned her schedule well and was taking that urgency out on her clients. I found the experience to be unprofessional and baffling and will not be returning.

Rather than taking a moment to communicate with me, she told me to leave before my haircut was even finished. I walked out with an uneven, unfinished haircut and was left shocked by how I was treated. No client should ever be humiliated for expressing concern about their own hair. The haircut left awful and uneven and The treatment was far worse !

Suspicious of both the friendly tone of the person on the other line, the easy availability to book an appointment, and the convenient location, I was pretty nervous walking into the first appointment. I've been burned before. Somewhere along the way, I've been programmed to think scarcity of availability for salons means they're better quality, since the appointments are seemingly more in demand. Thankfully, my nerves were quickly quelled. Emily was so kind, personable, and NORMAL. She didn't make me feel uncomfortable, the salon was welcoming and the color service? Phenomenal. There's a moment during a foil color treatment where you have no idea what you're going to look like in 10 minutes. Not a clue. It's a kind of stress and anxiety that's hard to explain unless you've already personally experienced the bowl rinse out after a color treatment. Wondering, have I just made a terrible mistake? This is my new spot. The foil came off, the rinse completed, and after the blow dry I looked in the mirror and couldn't believe it. I looked..like...myself! The self I remembered from before kids! Today I brought my 11 y/o daughter in when she decided it was time for a fresh new look - she just started middle school and made a decisive change. I understand balayage is meant to grow out naturally, but this looked like it had been done months ago when it had only been a week. Even my family commented that it looked grown out. I called the salon to see if they could fix the top portion, and I was told my stylist, Angel, would call me back--but I never heard from her. Overall, I'm really disappointed. Not only was the service expensive, but the results didn't meet expectations, and there was no follow-up or effort to make it right.

Since I was next door having breakfast, I needed a good shampoo from one of their hairstylists. I walked in to see how much they will charge me to just shampoo and air dry my hair and Juliet told me $38.00. Sounded crazy and ridiculously overpriced. For that amount I can get a cut, shampoo, and blow dry somewhere else. The vibe was chill and had nice overhead music playing. For the sake of good old times and great services that they have offered, I will stick to my 5 star review. They have several different locations. This time this Fantastic Hair Salon didn't make the mark. Gender Neutral restroom and parking is shared with multiple businesses. Look for the Iconic Trader Joes! Thank you everyone for a great service that you have provided.. NOT only for me, but to many of your other customers over the years!!:-))

I had been wanting to get the black out of my hair for a long time, but I was honestly nervous about trusting someone with such a big color change. I was having a hard time finding the right stylist, and I'm SO glad I found Blanca at The Blondery! From the beginning, Blanca listened to exactly what I wanted and made me feel completely comfortable with the process. My biggest concern was removing the black without compromising the health of my hair, and she absolutely delivered. I went from very dark black hair to the most beautiful, natural-looking brunette with gorgeous touches of gold and dimension. My hair looks healthy, rich, shiny, and still feels like ME, just elevated. Blanca is incredibly talented, knowledgeable, patient, and truly an artist when it comes to color. I'm including before-and-after pictures because the transformation really speaks for itself! Also, do yourself a favor and add Blanca's Magic Hands Scalp Stress Relief Massage to your appointment. PAY THE EXTRA! It is worth every penny. This woman is the QUEEN of scalp massages. ‍ I could have stayed there all day. The Blondery itself is beautiful, welcoming, professional, and has such a great atmosphere. From the service to the overall experience, I left genuinely happy that I trusted them with such a major hair transformation. She doesn't just make your hair look beautiful, she genuinely cares about keeping it healthy, and it shows! My hair was in desperate need of a trim, booked with T. He was amazing!!! First off, the salon is super cute and clean and located on a corner lot with lots of windows with natural lighting. T is an amazing and experienced stylist. T asked me what I wanted and delivered. I love it when a stylist listens to your needs but also makes suggestions. T gave me face framing bangs and trimmed off all my dead ends and gave me a beautiful blowout. My hair looks super healthy and feels super light. I am obsessed!!! The Blondery is hands down the best salon I have been to and everything from the energy in the space, the location, the services are above and beyond. Kait has been doing my hair for a few years now. When I moved from Texas to LA, I had the hardest time finding someone who could get the blonde I wanted without completely bleaching / frying my hair. Cindy was professional since the very beginning of our text conversations to the actual day of the appointment. This was the first time where I felt comfortable and genuinely listened to during a haircut. I have had several hair appointments where the hairdresser appeared too busy which resulted in disappointing outcomes and choppy messes. Cindy was also honest and realistic in terms of what would look best on my hair texture/type. I came here with a "bad" haircut (choppy and unblended layers) that needed some TLC and she was able to fix it! In every step, she always asked for my thoughts to ensure that I was happy with what she was doing. Highly recommend this place! In terms of hygiene and following COVID regulations, everyone in the salon wore masks, customers were seated ~6ft from each other and the front/back door were open to allow ventilation.
