Chemicals were dripping onto my face, leaving stains on my forehead, and when my hair was washed, the water was cold and splashed everywhere. A few days later, after washing and styling my hair the way I normally do, I noticed how off the balayage looked. My roots already appeared very grown out--almost halfway down my head. I understand balayage is meant to grow out naturally, but this looked like it had been done months ago when it had only been a week. Even my family commented that it looked grown out. I called the salon to see if they could fix the top portion, and I was told my stylist, Angel, would call me back--but I never heard from her. Overall, I'm really disappointed. Not only was the service expensive, but the results didn't meet expectations, and there was no follow-up or effort to make it right.

I was seeing Jason E. on and off for 2 years and consistently for last 9 months for cut and color. I assure everyone, I am a good person who is very polite. Like many women, I hate getting my hair cut because I have wavy hair and it's a challenge to cut and avoid weird shapes and have had a lifetime of bad cuts. Although I am picky, I am *never* rude, nasty or mean. I DO love to get my hair colored and have never said anything negative to Jason E. about my hair color. Jason E. was always nice and friendly to me until a few months ago when I noticed the last 2 times, he was very impatient and curt with me. I asked him if anything was wrong and told him he seemed annoyed with me. He said "No." Then yesterday he BLINDSIDED ME and what amounted to kicking me out of the salon! He went totally ballistic on me and threw me out of the salon and said he didn't even want my money. We weren't even arguing... he was clearly annoyed with anything I said. He started out the appointment impatiently when I asked him whether I should color just my roots or my whole head cause I wanted highlights. I was merely asking his professional opinion which for some reason he interpreted as me being difficult. He implied I'd been unhappy with a prior color which I assure you was not true. The assistant colored my roots and then I went to cut my hair. Because duplicating a cut seems impossible for every stylist (which he admitted), I was attempting to explain to him what I wanted and was asking questions VERY POLITELY. Cearly he was annoyed with everything I said. He (sort of) finished the cut and then asked if I wanted product in my hair. I asked, "What about the highlights?" He replied, "I can't do them." Me: "Why not?" Jason: "I can't work on you anymore. You stress me out." Me: "WHAT???" Jason: "You are never happy with anything I do." (NOT TRUE. I've called twice in the past to leave messages telling him the cut was good!) You don't even have to pay for today. You take the fun and creativity out of it." Me: "I'm always asking your opinion and you never give it to me!" Jason: "You stress me out. You take all the fun out of it" and looks down at his iTouch. (Yes, he was on it in while kicking me out and telling me how horrible I am.) I tried to at least pay for the color since the assistant did it, not him. He looked up from his iTouch and said "No, don't pay. I don't want your money." This was a guy who used to hug me every time I came in for an appointment!! Our rapport was so good I've brought in both my sister and sister-in-law to get styled by him! Needless to say, I sobbed for hours. I don't understand why couldn't he just politely tell me - like a mature adult - that this professional relationship isn't working out for him. Why did he even take my appt. when clearly he was already impatient with me the last 2 times I saw him. Thanks to him, I will now hate getting my hair cut more than I already do. NO ONE, who is a decent, friendly and polite person, deserves to be treated the way he treated me yesterday. Please DO NOT LEAVE mean comments. I am already horrified by what happened. read more

Claudio is my hero. I went in to see him after the salon that I'd been going to for the last couple of years did a number on my hair for the second time in a row, leaving me again with thick orange stripes instead of the "subtle, cool tone" highlights I had asked for, even with pictures for reference. Last time I went back and had the other salon fix it. This time, I was so annoyed by the complete disregard for what I had requested, including the style of cut I received vs. what I had asked for, that I decided to look elsewhere. I found C the Salon and Claudio through Yelp. I saw the review that showed how he'd color corrected someone else's hair nightmare and decided to give the place a shot. He and his assistant Nicole were very attentive and listened to my concerns. He explained the options for fixing it and spent a lot of time making sure it would turn out as close to what I wanted as possible given what he had to work with. I instantly felt confident that I would be satisfied with the end result. It was evident that he knew what he was talking about and had a great understanding of color as he explained the "problems" and how he would address them. As you can see from the before and after picture, he did an AH-MAZING job. He definitely earned my business. I also appreciate that they have a price sheet available at the reception desk so you at least have some idea what you're in for. The prices for highlights are a bit pricier than I'm used to, but ultimately, I think it will be worth it just to know that I can count on loving the results every time. That said, he was incredibly generous about the bill this time knowing that I had already dropped $165 at the other salon. I think that speaks a lot about him and the type of business he runs, and it is just one more reason why I will be going back. I can't wait to see what he can do when he doesn't have to work off of orange stripes! read more

Not only is the environment filled with fun energy, great music and cutting edge products, but the staff is fantastic! The owner, Claudio Lazo, is a brilliant stylist, who has created an synergistic team of consistently trained, every improving hair stylists, who remain on the cutting edge of the beauty industry. Claudio does not just look at my hair and talk with me about what style I want, he gives me guidance on how my decision in choosing a hairstyle can enhance my look. I appreciate how he honestly supports me by sharing how certain hairstyles may not bring out the best in my face. He carefully considers my skin coloring, age, and lifestyle, as he guides me towards a fashionable and beautiful look that I love EVERY TIME! He is in demand, so make your appointments in advance. P.S. - Claudio's price may, initially, seem on the high end, but his haircuts and color are lasting and look fantastic, even during the grow out phase. So, I don't have to go back as often, which works for my busy schedule. ALSO, anyone on his team is a phenomenal choice because most of them have been able to work 1:1, and be trained by Claudio. This is a review for Tiffany Green-Paz. She is a "god" when it comes to creating a hairstyle that is for you. I have Asian hair and wanted to go lighter, Tiffany worked her magic and created beautiful highlights that are so natural that you can't tell they are done professionally. The most fantastic thing is that they will grow out naturally and I won't have to have them done again until probably about December. A mark of a good haircut is how it grows out. I can go for a long time between cuts. Tiffany has helped me go from a short trendy bob style to a nice classic mid-length cut. Now, I'm trying to grow it into long locks.... I have been going to Therese for over 25 years now and she is by far the best at color, (and all other things hair for that matter), as you can get. I trust her implicitly and often go in just needing some kind of change and she always has me leaving feeling great. I have been seeing Jaclyn Wosk for about two years now and she is the only hair colorist I trust! She is impressively skilled and efficient in her craft. Just came back from a haircut. Therese is the best! Best cuts, best color, best vibe. I've been going to her forever now, and C the Salon is a great location - everyone is welcoming, helpful, friendly, and attitude free, in an easy location with lots of amenities around - coffee, yogurt, restaurants, even a Trader Joes within a half a block. For a guy that rarely gets professional cuts, I was taken aback by how much of a difference a good haircut makes. The salon has a very young, hip decor with equip with a welcoming staff. She always makes it look stunning and natural. It has great dimension, it's so shiny, plus she keeps it soft and healthy! Not only is Nadirah amazing with color, but she's also really skilled with cuts. I constantly get compliments on my hair. On top of that, Nadiah is really fun to talk to. The salon itself has a great vibe. You always feel welcome and comfortable the second you walk in. Everyone there is friendly and professional. Nadirah is truly a specialist. She was even hired in the past to travel the world teaching other stylists advanced techniques. But now I'm glad she's here in LA! Her expertise with both cuts and color are on another level. I can't say enough good things. I'm a perfectionist, and I tried for so many years to find a stylist I liked before I found Nadirah. I confirmed the price with her ahead of our appointment and once again during our consultation. I had also received a discount code from her that she said she would apply to the visit. Midway through our appointment while we were making small talk she abruptly informed me that she would be charging me more than what she herself had confirmed during the consultation. It came out of nowhere and was very disorienting. When I reminded her of the discount, she made something up on the spot about how the new higher price still reflected the discount. It was super shady and vague and I felt extremely uncomfortable. I could not leave because my head was wrapped in foil and bleach when she chose to announce this change. The color also did not come out the way we had discussed and she pretty much rushed me out of the chair while we were still within our appointment window and kept making passive aggressive jabs about how she had other clients coming in and how she should charge me even more. It's clear that she was disorganized and had not planned her schedule well and was taking that urgency out on her clients. I found the experience to be unprofessional and baffling and will not be returning.

Rather than taking a moment to communicate with me, she told me to leave before my haircut was even finished. I walked out with an uneven, unfinished haircut and was left shocked by how I was treated. No client should ever be humiliated for expressing concern about their own hair. The haircut left awful and uneven and The treatment was far worse !

They do perm, blow-dry, haircut, trim beard/mustache, color, chemical treatment, hair extension coloring, and removal. They also do transformation from highlights, like blonde to brunette, and more. I personally have gone there twice. Once to get a haircut, and once just to shampoo my hair. They do a FANTASTIC job. Nicole is just wonderful and I believe her parents own this business. The place is nice, super clean, & spacious. They play different genres of music inside the salon. They have a gender neutral restroom, and only street and metered parking.
